Introduction
She will only admire Xander from afar while working as his secretary. But things change so fast when they accidentally run into each other at the club. Xander sees Angel in a different form.
She doesn't look like Ms. Celeste, his very formal secretary at the office. Angela shows a different side of herself, wild, passionate, and sxy.
He can't control his possessiveness towards Angela when a stranger approaches her. Xander grabs Angela's hand and kisses her. Impulsively, he tells the man that Angela is his girlfriend, while Xander has a fiancée who has been engaged to him since he was a child.
Chapter 1
"You are fucking beautiful, Angel. You're like an angel."
"Um-hum? This is special for you," she whispered sensually as she wrapped her arms around her boss's neck.
"Really? I like it. I like your new look."
Angel cheered happily when her boss's wide palm touched her cheek. They stared at each other in the middle of the ballroom with all the envious looks directed at her. Angel felt like the luckiest woman in the world because her boss asked her to dance. She managed to get rid of dozens of women who wanted to dance with her boss tonight. Her arms were wrapped tighter around her boss's shoulders.
"I've been watching you all this time"
"Really? May I ask why?"
"Because of your lips. I really want to taste those pink lips. I want to suck them, then lick them."
Her breath hitched and her cheeks flushed. She didn't expect her boss to whisper such filthy words in the middle of a ballroom full of classy, upper-class people. Her skin prickled at the feel of her boss's hot breath on her face.
"People are watching us."
"Screw them. I just want to kiss you in front of all the women who want me."
"Why?"
"So they know I'm only yours," her boss winked seductively.
Her chest swelled with anticipation and nervousness. Angela felt her dress was too tight for her swollen breasts. Her boss cupped her face gently before pressing his lips to hers. Thousands of ephemeral fireworks exploded around them and became a beautiful backdrop for their kiss.
Their lips moved greedily, and Angela's fingers danced in her boss's soft hair. She pushed her boss's nape to deepen their kiss. Angela moaned softly as his palms caressed her back gently. She wasn't satisfied with just the kiss, she wanted more.
Angela opened her eyes slowly, and touched her boss's jaw gently. Their gazes collided. Her boss pulled his face away, then looked at her with a frown.
"What are you doing, Angel?"
"What?"
"What are you doing?"
A hard pat on her shoulder shattered all her dirty fantasies about her boss.
Dammit!
Angel grumbled inwardly and opened her eyes wide. She was still in the hotel ballroom, where her boss was holding a party, but she wasn't kissing her sexy boss. Instead, Finn's face appeared right in front of hers.
"What are you doing, Angel."
"Fuck off," Angel pushed Finn's face away from her.
She snorted, trying to hide her blush from her nosy best friend.
"Your face is so red. What were you thinking? You look like a horny virgin."
"Shut your damn mouth, Finn. Get away from me," Angel pushed Finn's face away from her and shifted her body to the right.
She still hadn't recovered from her fantasy of dancing with her boss. That damn Finn had ruined her imagination.
"Why is this beautiful lady so fierce?"
"Don't mock me. Finn!"
Angel growled in annoyance. She tried to control her voice so as not to scream in the middle of the important event. Finn chuckled and removed his hand from Angel's chin. It was a pleasure for him to be able to tease his brother's beautiful secretary.
"Cheer up, Angel. You've wasted this beautiful evening by daydreaming alone in this corner."
Finn swept his gaze to the corner of the hall. He found several people looking as unenthusiastic as Angel. They were the ones who were neglected at his brother's big party.
"I am not alone," Angel raised her hand. "I'm with my champagne. Get out of here if you just want to mess with me."
"Look around you. People partying like crazy, loud music, delicious food, and delicious men," Finn grinned.
"Hmm... I'd rather be left alone with my delicious champagne."
"You're wasting your chance to dance with handsome guys by staying here looking at my damn lucky brother.
Angel was silent. She was afraid that Finn would make fun of her even more if she tried to defend herself. She was indeed daydreaming while staring at her damn hot boss, and she was worried that Finn might catch her weird behavior.
"Damn. My brother uses his charm well."
"He is," she said blankly.
Xander Whithold was the hottest guy in New York. All the women wanted him in their bed. But Xander always decided who had the right to climb into bed with him. In a week maybe he could get three to four of the best women to have fun in his bed. Well, Angel was very jealous of the good fortune of these women. In the more than four years she had worked with Xander Whithold as his secretary, she had never had a single opportunity to climb into his bed.
"Xander is an ungrateful bastard. He uses his popularity to his advantage to get any woman he wants. I heard he hooked up with a really hot Victoria's Secret model last week. They spent two nights at his secluded villa in Blue Ridge."
Only God knows what Xander and the Victoria's Secret model were doing on that remote mountain. Angel didn't want to imagine anything because she would get hurt if she dared to do it.
"Hmm... Sounds good. Did you go with them to the villa?"
"I should be the one asking you, you're his secretary. Did he take you to Blue Ridge?" Finn smiled mischievously..
"I'm his secretary, not his babysitter."
"That's a bit unfair to you. Xander often takes you to important company events, but he never takes you on vacation like he does with his girlfriends."
"Finn please, what's all that nonsense for? I don't envy them."
Angel was dizzy hearing Finn's chatter. It wasn't the champagne that made her head spin and her stomach churn, but everything Finn said about Xander made her feel like she had just downed gallons of liquor.
"Do you? I just feel like he should treat you fairly."
"Oh my God, Finn! Can you stop babbling about your brother? Are you jealous of his success and luck, huh? If he's dating multiple women, that's his business. I have no right to forbid him because I am not his wife."
Angel took a sip of her champagne and placed the glass roughly on the table. She never really respected Finn even though he was Xander's brother and the financial manager at her office. Their friendship since high school made Angel unable to consider Finn as her boss. And Finn didn't mind it. Finn preferred it when Angel was less formal with him. He liked Angel's cheerfulness. But, he noticed Angel had changed a little in the past few days. She had become quieter. Sometimes he caught her daydreaming at her desk while staring at Xander's door.
"Speaking of a wife..." Finn grinned.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...
