The Game of Surrender
salmoamor0 · Ongoing · 38.2k Words
Introduction
The host, a man with an unreadable gaze and an irresistible presence, proposes a game. The rules are simple: surrender or resist. But as the days stretch on and the nights grow dangerously intoxicating, she realizes that this game is more than just a seductive challenge—it’s a web of manipulation, psychological trials, and promises that could break her.
Between candlelit dinners where every word carries a double meaning, hidden passageways echoing with forgotten confessions, and an attraction so consuming it blurs the line between pleasure and peril, she finds herself trapped in a world where every choice is a test. The deeper she falls, the harder it becomes to separate desire from deception, temptation from a carefully laid trap.
In the end, it’s not just about winning or losing. It’s about who makes it out alive—and who will never be the same again.
Chapter 1
Thirty Years Earlier
He sees her nervousness, watching her quick movements as she puts on her robe and fixes her hair. The narrow closet, with the small crack in the door, gives him most of the view of the room. She had told him to stay there, saying she needed him to be a good boy, and that if he really loved her, he would stay inside the closet, in silence. He feels comfortable inside the tight wooden walls, where it’s silent, dark, and there’s nothing but him and the clothes on the hangers, sharing the space. Distant sounds of heavy footsteps and nervous breathing intensify the agony that is visible on her dark face, with her sweaty forehead, swollen lips, and red, tear-streaked eyes. He loves her, feels good making her happy, and she loves him even more for being her good boy. She always tells him he’s her good boy. Her eyes become shiny as she forces a smile for the visitor entering the room, quickly wiping the tears from her face.
“Darling, did you forget something? You caught me by surprise.” The visitor doesn’t respond to her cheerful greeting in her soft voice.
Only the continuous sound of heavy, rapid breathing echoes in the room, letting him know he’s there. When the visitor takes another step, he finally sees his face. Yes, it’s the visitor. He had given him that nickname because he was hardly ever around, only coming by to visit. His expression is furious, with clenched jaws, glazed eyes, as red as his bruised fist. The visitor rubs his fingers on his face, enraged, pacing like a caged animal. The suit that’s always impeccable is now disheveled on his body; he’s not like this, he’s never been like this, so out of control. He always preaches about control, how it will be an important trait for him when he becomes a man, but right now the visitor has no control.
“Reimond... What’s wrong?” She walks toward him, but her steps freeze when the visitor raises his arm.
He can see through the crack in the closet the glint of the automatic pistol in his hand. He recognizes it as the one kept in the garage.
“Darling, put that down... You’re scaring me.”
“How could you?” The visitor’s head tilts to the side, grinding his teeth in anger, pressing the pistol harder against her forehead. “I gave you everything, I gave you the world, and you destroyed our family!”
“Reimond, please, put it down. Please, I can explain... It’s not what you think.” She raises her hand in an attempt to calm him.
The visitor suffers, tears streaming down his face, trailing down his throat. He had never seen him cry before. He says that crying is a sign of weakness, and now he’s in tears. She embraces him, kissing his face tenderly. She’s always tender, which is why he loves her and does everything for her.
“Did you really think I wouldn’t find out? Did you ever think about what you were doing?” The visitor’s other hand crushes her curly hair, squeezing it tightly. “I could forgive anything, any mistake of yours. Why did you do this?”
“For love. For love, Reimond. I love him more than I love myself.” Her small body slides down, clinging to the visitor’s body as she sobs uncontrollably.
Pulling away from her, the visitor walks away angrily, kicking anything in his path. He releases his anger in grotesque screams, like a wounded animal. She must have done something terrible to make him lose control because the visitor never loses control.
“Reimond...” She falls silent, not finishing the sentence. Her thin face turns toward the closet, resting her eyes on the crack. Black, calm, and tender eyes, that always smile at him, but this time they lack brightness and are not accompanied by a smile on her face.
It's as if she knows, as if she's already prepared for this. Her face turns back to the visitor. She breathes slowly, running her fingers over her honey-toned skin. No voices are heard, no footsteps. The small body inside the closet curls up, frozen, holding its breath when a shot is fired. Her shoulders slump to the side, falling onto the white carpet. A pool of blood forms near her head. From the centered hole in her forehead, a thick red liquid drips, staining her face. Her dark irises remain open, but there's no more light in her eyes.
And the only thing that crosses his mind as he looks at her lifeless body is how the closet is warm, dark, and silent.

Vengeance of the Forsaken Luna
"Bella." Ethan's tone shifted, taking on that warning edge I knew too well. "Faye is vulnerable right now. She's terrified you'll resent her, that this will divide the pack. The last thing she wants is for this baby to come between us."
"Then you shouldn't have done it." I met his eyes squarely, letting him see the ice in mine. "Go back to your son."
"For fuck's sake." He dragged a hand through his hair. "How many times—it was artificial insemination. They used my sperm, yes, but Faye and I never—"
Bella let out a cold snort. Such brazen lies. Her mate had an affair with his brother's partner, and his entire family helped force her out with nothing, all to make way for the mistress to take her rightful position. Poor fool—he thought she was just an unwanted adopted daughter, easy to dismiss and control. He never knew the computer genius he'd been searching for was his own Luna.
Since he'd tainted himself, Bella was done. She rejected him and reclaimed what was hers, rising to the top with help from Victor, who'd been secretly in love with her for years.
When Ethan tried winning her back: "You don't want our child growing up fatherless."
Bella smiled mockingly. "The child's father isn't you."

The Unwritten Princess
My name is Mia, and everything I touch is dying.
The flowers beneath my mother's window turned black overnight. The herbs I gathered at dawn rotted in my hands. When the court wizard finally told me the truth—that someone cursed me, that my presence would kill everyone I love—I realized the prophecy everyone believed was never meant to save the kingdom. It was meant to destroy me.
So I ran. Not to fulfill some destiny, but to survive it.
Now I'm traveling with a hunter who lost his companions to the same curse I carry, chasing fragments of a prophecy the Fae sing differently. An elf took a baby from the palace the night I was born. And somewhere between the lies I've been told and the truth I'm hunting, I'm starting to suspect: What if I'm not the princess from the prophecy at all?

Old wounds reopen, grief masquerades as rage, and love refuses to stay buried. From Substitute To Queen
Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?

I shivered.
Alyssa Reynolds found herself in a situation, while returning home from work, and she had three choices:
Simply walk away and forget that you ever heard the sound of wailing infants.
Call the police and inform them about the innocent wails.
Follow the sounds of the wails and take the matter in your hands, deciding what to do later.
Being a kindhearted soul and a sucker for babies, she found herself choosing the third option, finding the two little lives.
Two little lives that changed her whole life, her love life included. Her life now revolved around the babies as diapers, vomit and shit seemed to surround her.
