Chapter 1
Jennifer covered her mouth. In front of her, she saw her father's body lying stiffly, with a man crouching in front of him, holding him.
Jennifer took a few steps back, accidentally dropping the pregnancy test she was holding onto the floor.
"Who's there?" The man turned his head. Jennifer hid, continuing to cry.
The man searched for something, trying to smell something. But then Beta John approached him.
"Alpha! Our pack is under attack! The Greenstone pack is attacking us! We've lost members! What should we do?" said Beta Jhon, breathing heavily.
"Greenstone? Impossible! They're not as strong as us! There must be someone behind them! Who dares to mess with me!" said Alpha Blackstone.
As he was about to leave, his foot touched something.
"A pregnancy test? Is this Jennifer's? Two lines? Jennifer is carrying my pups?" Geralt hesitated, but Beta reminded him.
"Alpha! Come on..." he urged again.
"Come on!" Geralt shouted again. 'Wait for me, Jenn, I need to know the truth—are you pregnant?'
They left.
Jennifer emerged from her hiding place, "My husband killed my father? Geralt killed him?"
Crying, she ran as fast as she could into the darkness of the night.
The night was dark, but it didn't matter to someone like Jennifer Ross as she ran and ran. Surprisingly she didn't use her legs, she ran with her hands and furry. She fell down, hurt her leg, hurt her body and somehow didn't feel it. All she knew was that she had to keep running.
While behind her a pack of hungry wolves chased her. Until finally she slipped and fell into the ravine. She rolled around on the ground until she was thrown into a river. She seemed to be drowning as water began to enter her throat, she drank a lot of water. She tried to move her arms, her legs to be precise. I don't know, she didn't know if it was one of his body parts. But his body began to sink under the water and...
Jennifer screamed at the top of her lungs "Argh!!! No!!!"
BRAK!!!
Jennifer woke up, a small five year old boy was coming towards her after frantically opening her bedroom door.
"Are you alright, Mom? Did you dream again?" Alexander, her son, looked worried and climbed into his Mom's bed.
Jennifer was still breathing heavily, a cold sweat broke out on her forehead and even her arms started to get wet with sweat. Her body was sticky. Drenched in sweat that began to pour all over her body.
Jennifer’s hands trembled as she pulled Alex close, her heartbeat loud in her ears.
"I'll be fine, it was just a dream! I'll be fine. Calm down..." Jennifer tried to encourage her son and herself.
The dream was so scary, she saw so many injured people, humans and wolves. What did the dream mean? She never knew.
But lately, in the past month to be precise, she almost dreamed the same thing, at first vaguely but more and more clearly every day. Was she going crazy? No! No! She can't be crazy! The dream was too real.
But why did it appear now? Why this time? What's behind all this?
She kept asking questions that she could never answer.
Suddenly she smiled at her son, Alexander. Alexander would be born on a full moon and accompanied by flashes of lightning and howls like a wild animal, which Jennifer thought was just a coincidence. It wasn't until Alex made his typical baby noises that the weather cleared up. Jennifer didn't understand what that meant. But she never thought about it.
"What time is it, baby?" Jennifer asked her son.
"It's morning, Mom. Probably around 7.00am!" he said, looking up at his Mom's face.
"What? Oh, no! I'm late! It's my first day at work! I can't be late for work! And you're a young boy, you have to go to school too, don't you?" Jennifer exclaimed as she stood up from her bed.
"You have to shower now! And breakfast, Oh no! We'll have breakfast outside, how about that? There's no time to cook!" said Jennifer, starting to panic and running to take her son to the bathroom.
"Mom! Calm down! I've showered and I've also prepared bread and some milk for us to have for breakfast just before I heard you scream!" said Alex trying to calm his Mom down.
"Really? Wow! Then change your clothes, then we'll have breakfast together but I'll go first to the bathroom!" said Jennifer happily, Alex was always reliable.
Alex was about to leave his Mom's room and Jennifer was about to go to the bathroom. But then Jennifer turned around and chased after her son. Giving him a kiss.
"You're the best! Thanks!"
While Alex just looked at his Mom with a shake of his head. "It's always like this! I don't know who's more mature here, but definitely not my Mom for sure!"
After a shower and a change of clothes, they ate quickly, as her Mom had to work today. Finally after a long time she managed to finish her studies, she finished it with great difficulty, even while carrying Alex who was then in her womb.
After a long struggle, she did it! She even got a job at the biggest company in L.A. That's why she moved from Chicago to L.A. in the hope of making a better living.
And here they are. Driving a simple saloon car she had rented, Jennifer finally arrived at her office and glanced at her watch.
"Shit! I'm Late! Is he going to be mad?" with a pounding heart she tried to sit on her chair.
Shortly after, the phone on her desk rang.
"Come into my office!" her boss's voice sounded cold and stern over the phone.
Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door in front of her.
"Come in!" someone ordered from inside.
Trembling, Jennifer opened the door and walked slowly towards the large desk where her boss was working. Geralt Williams. CEO of Williams Enterprise.
Jennifer stared at Gerald's appearance.
Gerald had a very handsome face with tanned skin, a straight nose, a square jaw, and a smooth moustache that gave him a firm and authoritative appearance.
His shoulders were broad with a very muscular and sturdy chest. The top two buttons of Gerald's shirt were open, revealing fine hair on his chest, which looked comfortable to lean on.
His hair was thick and dark brown, with a few strands falling slightly over his forehead, adding a cool, carefree yet strong leadership aura.
Gerald was truly perfect.
Jennifer's heart was pounding. Jennifer swallowed her saliva.
"Are you my new secretary? Do you think you deserve this job? What time is it now?" he hissed without looking at Jennifer.
“Yes, sir. My name is Jennifer Ross. I’m sorry I’m late! I had family matters to attend to. I promise I won’t be late again!” Jennifer said awkwardly.
“I don’t care if you have family matters or not! That’s none of my business! There won’t be another chance! Please leave! I don’t like people who are late! You’re fired!” he hissed angrily.
"What? Sir, I'm sorry, I was only five minutes late. I'll make sure this doesn't happen again, but please give me one last chance. This job is important to me!" Jennifer pleaded, but Geralt hadn't even looked at her since earlier.
"I don't care! I said you're fired! Get out of my office!" he said, continuing to look at his files.
"But, sir?"
"GET OUT!"
"Fine! What an arrogant man! Who’d want to work for someone with no heart!" Jennifer said angrily as she stormed out of the room, slamming her boss's door behind her and grabbing her bag.
Geralt was startled. That power… "I feel like I know it. That scent… why did I just catch a whiff of it?" He whispered to himself.
Geralt fell silent. "Could it be her?"

He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
