The Mafia Boss's Unforgiven Wife
Daisy Swift · Completed · 6.7k Words
Introduction
My father, my brother, my husband... they bled me dry, framed me, and even demanded my unborn baby's cord blood to keep a murderer alive.
When I finally learned the truth, I didn't cry. I didn't scream.
I simply locked the doors, scheduled the emails that would shatter their reality, and left them a charred corpse in a towering sea of fire.
They thought they watched me burn. I let them descent into absolute madness.
Chapter 1
My father and brother never treated me like family.
Every ounce of their love went to Camilla—my "perfect" half-sister.
Until Victor Moretti, the most dangerous mafia don, walked into my life.
He claimed me publicly, warning the world that anyone who touched me would disappear.
For a fleeting moment, I thought fate had finally shown me mercy.
Until the day Camilla dragged me onto a yacht—and we were both knocked into the ocean.
"Save Camilla!!"
My father and brother didn't even glance my way.
If Victor hadn't sped over on a speedboat and dived in to drag me out, my baby and I would be at the bottom of the Atlantic.
When I woke up, voices bled through the door.
"Are you out of your minds? She's pregnant!" Victor roared.
"Camilla's heart could fail any minute!" my father pleaded. "The doctor said the cord blood will save her. We can't wait."
My brother chimed in, "You know this, Victor. Only Elena's baby can save her."
A heavy silence followed. Then, Victor spoke the truth I was never meant to hear:
"I want Camilla alive more than any of you. Why else would I marry Elena?"
"But Elena cannot die."
My world shattered.
He was exactly like them. The only woman he loved was Camilla.
I curled up in the dark, hugging my belly as tears streamed down my face.
If no one in this world would love us, I would take my baby and disappear from it forever.
......
Tears dripped from my chin to the marble floor—one drop after another.
I crouched under the dining table, fingers white from gripping the fallen spoon.
My whole body felt pinned in place.
The past flooded my mind.
The day I went missing, my mother drove up the mountain alone to find me.
Her car slid off the cliff.
She died on impact.
Since then, my father Mario's eyes were knives whenever he looked at me.
"Mother died because of you." My brother Lorenzo tore up the portrait I drew of my mother and stomped on it while shouting at me.
And they never hid their favoritism toward Camilla.
She was three years older than me, my father's illegitimate daughter.
On her birthdays, my father hired designers to decorate the entire estate like a royal palace.
Champagne towers filled the garden, even the fireworks were custom.
When I was hospitalized coughing blood, no one visited.
When Camilla had a mild cough, my father and brother took turns sitting by her bed.
But I never blamed them.
I truly believed I didn't deserve love.
That I killed my mother.
That I deserved to be ignored.
On my mother's death anniversary, Camilla had me locked in the underground water chamber, saying it would teach me to remember I killed my mother.
I sat in the freezing water for seven hours, shivering, barely breathing.
Just when I thought I would die there—
The door burst open.
Victor Moretti reached out his hand. "Don't be afraid. I'm here."
In that moment, my world lit up.
He was the most dangerous man in the underworld, yet he pulled me out of the darkness with the gentlest touch.
That was the first time in my life I felt protected.
I thought he was my salvation.
I thought I had finally found love.
So when he asked me to marry him, I didn't hesitate.
Not until today did I realize it was just another carefully built cage.
Three years ago, Camilla was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder.
In the family, only she and I shared an extremely rare, almost extinct blood type.
The family doctor said she needed frequent transfusions, constant protection from assassination attempts—and the ideal "shield" and "blood source" was me.
So Victor married me.
Not out of love, but for my blood.
Later, he suddenly agreed to have a baby with me.
I naively thought it meant he finally wanted a family with me.
But in the end, it was all for Camilla.
I tried to get up—too late.
Camilla walked into the dining room.
Her voice was sharp, casual.
"Mom, yes, of course I fooled Victor. Heart condition? I'm perfectly healthy."
"That bullet he thought I took for him when we were kids? That was Elena. But he'll never know."
"Once the baby is born and I get the cord blood, she can get lost."
I clamped my hand over my mouth.
So… Victor got the wrong girl all along.
He hurt me over and over for her.
But he never knew—
The one who saved him… the one he truly loved…
Was me.
My hands shaking, I pressed the record button on my phone.
After Camilla left, I staggered into the bathroom and locked the door.
I dialed Zoey—my only trusted friend, and a doctor.
"I want… to terminate the pregnancy."
Zoey's voice shot up in shock. "Are you insane?! Do you know how much you suffered for this pregnancy? The injections? The bleeding? Victor finally agreed to have a baby with you, and you were so happy—Elena, what happened?!"
She tried to talk me down. "Did you two fight? You can't make a decision like this while emotional. Just breathe. Think again, okay?"
But I didn't back down.
She exhaled shakily.
"Fine. If you wake up tomorrow and still want this, come find me. I'll help you arrange everything."
After the call ended, there was a knock on the door.
"Elena?" Victor pushed the door open, and his relief was immediate. "I've been looking everywhere for you."
His gaze resembled that fateful night when he saved me—gentle, filled with concern, and almost tender.
His voice was so gentle it almost made me believe—maybe all this pain was just a misunderstanding.
Then his phone rang.
Camilla.
He frowned, glanced at it, then immediately turned to me.
"I need to go. It's urgent."
I watched him walk away, my heart cooling with every step he took.
Something inside me pushed me to ask—
"Victor, do you… love me and this baby?"
He didn't think twice. "Of course. As long as he's born safely. Elena, your only job now is to keep the baby healthy."
And he left.
I stood there, feeling as though something had struck me fiercely in the chest.
He didn't love me.
He didn't love this child either.
What he desired was merely the umbilical cord blood after the child's birth.
My phone lit up.
Zoey sent the baby's ultrasound.
I opened it.
A tiny bean shaped figure lay quietly in the black and white image, its heartbeat weak yet stubborn.
Tears welled up again.
This child knows nothing, yet keeps fighting to live inside me.
"I'm sorry…" I sobbed uncontrollably.
I couldn't end the pregnancy.
But I couldn't let them turn my baby into a tool either.
I would leave Victor.
Leave this place that trapped me, hurt me, and fed on lies.
And I would never look back.

The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
