Chapter 1
AUTHOR'S POV
The sky was laced with gray clouds, indicating impending rain that was to fall in a matter of an hour or so. But somehow that brought a feeling of excitement to wrap around London's heart. Many people hated the rain but not him, he loves the rain, in fact he loved dull weathers and seasons like winter and summer, but its not because it matches a dark personality which he does not have, its just that he sees beauty in dark and dull thinks.
His long fingers wrapped tighter around his coffee cup to keep them warm, he leaned back on the metal bench found on the rooftop of his department building.
He sighed at the peace he felt inside and honestly this is the calmest his ever been in weeks since his life was nothing but a circus, his uncle's words not his.
The sound of a notification on his phone pulled him out of his thoughts, he pull it out of his coat's inner pocket and a dozen of messages from his friends and girlfriend popped up on the screen, each one somewhat similar since they all told him the same thing. He grunted and rose from the hard bench, he removed invisible dust on his black coat and strode towards the rooftop tossing the coffee cup on the trashcan near the door on his way out. He took the lift to the fifth floor where his class was at. It did not take him long to locate his class and on entering every girl in class were literally swooning, not that his ever payed heed to them but it did always boosted his ego.
He strode to his group of friends on the last row and settled on the seat next to his girlfriend, Caroline. He smirked then grabbed her chin and locked his lips with hers. He deepened the kiss and guided his tongue into her mouth, Caroline started sucking on it resulting in a grunt from London. For what felt like hours the kiss finally ended and they pulled away only to find the whole class staring at them.
Caroline frowned" What the fuck are you all staring!? What!? Never seen a couple make out before!? " And everyone immediately looked and she scoffed " Fucking virgins!" She spat.
One of the girls in the class scoffed and cursed" Bitch!" Caroline banged her hands on the table and rose from her sit, she glared at the direction of the voice.
" Why don't you come and say that crap to my face!? You dry little cunt! " She growled. London grabbed her wrist and pulled her down to her seat. He lifted off her chair and placed on his lap and started to whisper sweet words into her ear to calm her down which work as she started to relax in her arms.
The lecture who was known as Mr. Fischer sighed and decided to just continue with the lesson, besides if he tried to intervene it would naturally lead him to unemployment since most of these students had parents who had a few shares in this University and besides why complain when they pay so well here.
The rest of the lesson went smooth which then came to an end approximately one hour later and every student in class left in groups of twos and threes, London's group was not left out. One of London's friends Kyle, walked to him and throw his arm over his shoulders.
" You were late. Again " Kyle started a displeased expression on his face. Kyle was his best friend and second dad as he was the most uptight person London had ever seen but most of all he cared. London turned to him and chuckled.
London just shrugged " You should more happy that I came to begin with" He smirked and Kyle's expression darkened at his tone but London payed him any attention.
" But the yesterday's party was still awesome, right?" Other one of his friends Freddy asked with the intentions of easing the tension. Freddy was short with shoulder length dark brown hair and green eyes.
London smirked back " One of the best parties I've ever been to" He replied.
Freddy and Kyle have been friends with London since they were old enough to walk and that is only because their parents are also friends, ever since they've inseparable. As years went on London became more popular and had a larger group of friends but he never for once made them feel left on anything he did or anywhere he went. The trio strode to the campus main cafeteria, since they did not have any classes they decided to spend the rest of the day in a place where food was involved.
The cafeteria is the premises was not you everyday simple cafeteria, this was more like a fancy restaurant. The soft glow of crystal chandeliers illuminated the plush, velvet drapes that framed the windows, casting a warm, golden light on the polished marble floor. The scent of freshly baked bread wafted from kitchen, mingling with the faint hint of expensive perfume. The dining area was masterclass in understanding luxury, with crisp white tablecloths, fine china and sterling silverware that sparkled like diamond . The chairs, upholstered in rich, dark leather, seemed to whisper promises of comfort and indulgence. The walls, adorned with original art pieces, added a touch of sophistication to the space. They made their way to the table that was mostly surrounded by London's other friends and Caroline's, the soft hum of conversations and the gentle clinking of glasses created a soothing background melody. London settled on the seat beside Caroline while Kyle sat beside Rhonda, one of Caroline and Freddy settled beside Yara another friend of Caroline's.
" Hi guys" London started while grabbing a bottle of mineral water on the table.
" Hi" Zak replied with a smirked followed by the rest.
The London group, which was it was called in campus was a group of eight people and it was a must join group since everyone wanted to be part of it but only the most wealthy could join, unfortunately most of the students were you would call average wealthy.
The rest of lunch was spent chatting and laughing, it was something that they did everyday after classes and the group always received jealous glances.
London and Caroline were flirting on the side while everybody was chatting when suddenly Yara gasped grabbing the attention of everyone on the table.
" OMG! There was a gangster shootout in Blue Moon city last night with sixteen casualties, eleven from the Red River mafia clan and five from the Knight Empire!" She scrolled her phone looking for more information, the rest also took out there phones to check it out.
" Damn! The Knight Empire always comes out almost unscathed and to think that they are the ones that have the most enemies but somehow they are unbeatable" Creek stated with a grin, he chuckled before placing his phone back on the table.
" And they're so gruesome, and dangerous!" Freddy added and shook his head.
