Chapter 1
Marino's POV
The hidden chamber had a certain dark allure, nestled in the forgotten belly of a once-thriving factory. The lights above flickered, casting an almost theatrical glow on the scene, as if the walls were set to stage a macabre play.
"Arrghh," the sound of pain cut through the air, a harsh note in the otherwise still space.
"Please, it wasn't me, boss, I swear on my life," he whimpered, his voice laced with desperation. One of my men had just doused his mangled fingers with alcohol, and the man—Bianchi—was in agony. But for me, this wasn't just about inflicting pain. It was about sending a message.
I stepped out from the shadows.
"Bianchi," I locked eyes with him, allowing a hint of empathy to play across my face as I straightened up.
"You've always been one of the best, Bianchi. Smart, resourceful," I praised him, my tone warm but with an undercurrent of steel. I touched the wound on his cheek, a gesture that was almost tender.
His body shuddered with a sob.
"You see, the problem is, I can't have doubts in my ranks. Doubts lead to weakness. And I detest weakness," I explained, my words soft but carrying the weight of finality.
I walked over to the toolbox and retrieved the handgun. The metal gleamed in my hand as if it were an extension of my own will.
"Marino, I've been loyal, I've been—" Bianchi's protests spilled out in a frantic rush.
I smiled at him, a disarming smile that didn't quite reach my eyes.
"Everyone says that right before the end. But don't worry, we're just having a conversation," I reassured him, the charm in my voice belying the cold intent of my actions.
As I gave the signal, a hood was slipped over his head, snatching away his vision, leaving him in darkness.
"Don't do this, Marino, you'll regret it—he's going to come after you," Bianchi's voice was muffled, but the fear was palpable.
I leaned in close, my voice a whisper that only he could hear.
"Life is full of regrets, Bianchi, but I'm not the one who's going to have them," I said with a grin, and then, without hesitation, I pulled the trigger.
The sound was sharp and final. I carefully wiped the gun clean, preserving its sheen, and placed it back with a sense of ritual.
"You know what to do," I said to my men. I walked away, leaving Bianchi and the darkness behind. The gravity of my actions didn't weigh down my steps.

I Found the Babies
"When..." He growled in my ear, "When we will be getting married, I will be your only king, do you get my point? Only one queen, no misters or mistresses. Just me, just you, and yeah, our babies."
I shivered.
Alyssa Reynolds found herself in a situation, while returning home from work, and she had three choices:
Simply walk away and forget that you ever heard the sound of wailing infants.
Call the police and inform them about the innocent wails.
Follow the sounds of the wails and take the matter in your hands, deciding what to do later.
Being a kindhearted soul and a sucker for babies, she found herself choosing the third option, finding the two little lives.
Two little lives that changed her whole life, her love life included. Her life now revolved around the babies as diapers, vomit and shit seemed to surround her.
Just when she thought that now it's just her and the babies, her whole world flipped over and she found herself living under the same roof as the egotistical, obnoxious and hot-as-hell Terence Powers, the business tycoon who was not going to let the woman fend off for herself and the babies alone.
How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.
The Unwritten Princess
My name is Mia, and everything I touch is dying.
The flowers beneath my mother's window turned black overnight. The herbs I gathered at dawn rotted in my hands. When the court wizard finally told me the truth—that someone cursed me, that my presence would kill everyone I love—I realized the prophecy everyone believed was never meant to save the kingdom. It was meant to destroy me.
So I ran. Not to fulfill some destiny, but to survive it.
Now I'm traveling with a hunter who lost his companions to the same curse I carry, chasing fragments of a prophecy the Fae sing differently. An elf took a baby from the palace the night I was born. And somewhere between the lies I've been told and the truth I'm hunting, I'm starting to suspect: What if I'm not the princess from the prophecy at all?
