Introduction
What happens when you refuse to accept your fate? When the only way forward is to run?
Luna Matthews has spent her life controlled by fear--first by her cruel stepfather, now by an arranged marriage to a ruthless Alpha she barely knows. On her wedding day, she makes an impossible choice: she runs. Trading her small mountain town for the anonymity of the city, Luna finally tastes freedom. She dyes her hair, changes her name, and begins rebuilding herself as a baker in a quiet cafe, determined to never be caged again.
But freedom has an expiration date.
When Ethan Baron finds her three months later, he brings shocking truths about the supernatural world she never knew existed--and a revelation that changes everything: he's her true mate, not his brother. As Luna grapples with newfound powers awakening inside her, enemies from both worlds close in. Her stepfather returns as something far more dangerous than human, and a rival pack descends on everyone she's come to love.
Luna thought she was running from her past. But what if her past was running toward her all along--and this time, she's the only one who can stop it?
Can she survive becoming the thing she feared most while learning to trust the brother she never expected to love?
Chapter 1
Luna POV
What are you going to do when the day comes and everything will be different? What is, in case you had to face a dilemma between a life of fear and nothing? What would you do if it were either run everything away, or keep everything, to forfeit yourself?
My hands kept shaking. The white dress was a kind of a cage around me with every piece of fabric pressured to my chest. I had a glimpse of a girl in a mirror that I did not know. Instead she was pretty and brave but I was falling to pieces inside.
Stop fidgeting, I said, and I went on to the doorstep. His voice was always cold. He stood in his black suit and gazed upon me as an object that he had at last sold. Marcus had never been a father; and since my mother passed away he simply kept me chained and exploited me.
The wedding was about money. I overheard him on the phone some weeks back discussing the Alpha, the money and the value of his problem. I was the issue and money he was burning.
You are perfect, he said, and I squirmed at what he was saying. Perfect for who? I pushed it aside and held on to the sink corner. My nails so sank into the ceramic that I thought it would break.
Kieran Baron. The Alpha. The powerful. The one everyone feared. The person who was to be mine forever.
Beyond I heard wood music. It was a clearing among old trees where weird things happened, and the wedding took place. I did not ask myself why my stepfather picked such a place. I just did what I was told. That is how my life is: take instructions, do not make questions, perhaps live to see another day.
But today was different. Something inside me woke up.
"It's time," Marcus said. He extended his arm as though we were one big family, as though this was one occasion to rejoice. I did not even dare to look, but I needed to take his arm. Otherwise he would find some way to make me repay him later. So it was that we were living pain to obedience.
We moved out of the little room and went to the clearing. The woods were dark and green. I could hear birds sing, which was inappropriate. How might the birds sing a day such as this? When the world was ending my life how could it be beautiful?
The space cleared out in front of us and I groaned. People were numerous and all of them were wearing official attire and all looked at me. I recognized a few faces of Pine Ridge but the rest were new eyes looking and waiting.
And then I saw him. Kieran Baron, the tall dark man, was at the front as the stories told. His icy blue eyes were shining through me. He didn't smile or wave. He simply stood as a statue as though it were another day with him. He was collecting me like any other object.
But I also saw someone else. At the back of Kieran was another man. Younger, softer. Dark hair, green eyes. I caught a glimpse of each other through the clearing and there was a sensation in the chest. A rope strangled itself around my heart and smacked it tight. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't look away. Who was he? Why did I feel like I knew him?
He was looking sad, as though it were breaking his heart in my presence. He would have liked to tell something but could not. His hands were made into fists.
Keep on, keep on, said Marcus, and pushed me. My legs began walking although I was not commanding them. We got nearer to Kieran, nearer to a life that I never wanted.
The ceremony started. People were talking, and I was still thinking about that other man, about those green eyes, about that aching in my chest. Had I met him before? Did he know something I didn't?
Luna, the harsh voice of Kieran broke in. Everyone was looking at me. It was time to say my vows, to bind myself to this man forever, to vow the rest of my life.
This was it. This was the time when my old life was over and when I started a new prison.
I was going to say the words, to take my lot.
Something within myself cried no.
It began little, a whisper, a feeling. It grew louder each second. No. No. No. No.
My stepfather was holding my hand tight to the point of pain. Kieran was waiting. Everyone was watching. This is what was expected to occur. This was the plan. This was my life now.
And at that very moment, looking at all those faces, and the burden of that white dress on me, I made a decision that I could not recall. I stepped out of the dress and ran away.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
