Introduction
.....
My name is Ixora Rhodes, I'm 19.
Three years ago, my best friend's father was gruesomely murdered.
Evelyn-my best friend, was very sure of who the murderer was, and as the richest girl in the country, the cops were ready to arrest anyone she pointed at.
As Evelyn's best friend, I thoughtlessly supported her too, so when she pointed fingers at Warren as the murderer, i believed it and even testified against Warren in court.
Warren Creed was a brilliant medical student, and as an hated son in his family, no one stepped up for him.
Nailing him was easy, his alibi and evidence of innocence were rendered useless.
Warren was sent to jail, but three years later, I found out that Evelyn lied.
Evelyn actually asked Warren out, but he had turned her down bluntly, prompting her to angrily frame him for her father's murder.
Warren already spent three years in jail before the truth surfaced, but he was released immediately.
But then... he's not the same innocent Warren who got arrested anymore.
Jail changed him to a self-acclaimed god of his own purgatory, a hedonist who draws pleasure from playing wicked mind games.
Unluckily for me, Evelyn died in an accident same day he was released, leaving him with me as his only prey.
Just me-the girl who testified falsely against him.
Nothing would stop him from ruining my life, crushing my existence, and trampling on my soul under his feet.
He's out for blood...for revenge, but the lurking devil inside him suddenly wanted something more than that.
Something crueller, primal, and darker.
Something that'd make me cry blood, crawl, and beg shamelessly at his mercy.
What is it?
Find out in this bumpy ride
Chapter 1
[BEVERLY HILLSRODEO DRIVECALIFORNIA]
He's back.
Ixora's palms were sweaty and clammy on her chocolate-coloured phone pouch as she scrolled through Cali news with shakiness, stalking every available blog for tidbits.
Since she heard the news during lunch at school, her world has been spinning without a plan to stop.
She's currently sitting on her well-laid bed in her large, rich room, inside her mom's mansion.
Her mom's mansion is one of the largest and tightly-protected house in Beverly Hills, but tonight, she couldn't feel the protection.
Breathing is even a problem as everything she's seeing online gagged her and stole her air.
Warren Creed is back from jail.
Same guy she testified against three years ago for the sake of her best friend Evelyn.
Just yesterday, it was found out that Evelyn had lied, and he was released without any punishment for Evelyn since she's a rich bîtch anyways, but Ixora knew something was coming.
Warren wouldn't just sit still after getting exonerated.
It's a rainy night, and the incessant thrum of the rain strokes against the glass of her open window synced with the uneven slams of her heart beneath her sternum.
She spotted another news on a different blog, and as she read the writeup, she gulped.
→"Warren Creed who was condemned to jail three years ago has been released today after it was revealed that Evelyn lied, and the law didn't punish her? What the fûck is wrong with Cali government!"
Ixora dragged her comforter closer to herself, leaving the blog as a WhatsApp message popped up from Evelyn.
Evelyn sent pictures of herself and Nadine - their third friend. They're having fun at a drive-in cinema.
Rage burned like sulphuric blaze in Ixora's skull, and she spranged up from the bed, her foot landing hard on the cold floor.
Evelyn has the nerves to have fun after ruining a guy's life and even dragging her into it?
Evelyn Ortega is a well-known brat, and how she became besties with her is still beyond her own knowledge, but what she didn't expect is this level of wickedness.
She pulled off her PJs and pants. She even forgot to wear another panty before putting on bum shorts and a big tee.
She's gonna go to that cinema and hurt Evelyn. Pin that.
She wore a face cap on her blonde hair and didn't even take a look at her pet fish in the glass aquarium as she went for the door.
Immediately she opened it and saw the butlers and maids lining up in front of her room, she gasped in remembrance, shifting back and quickly shutting the door.
Her mom grounded her yesterday after she got drunk at a school party, so she's forbidden from going out at night till tomorrow, reason for the stupid butlers and maids.
If she tries to leave, they'd drag her back inside, and even if she manages to escape them, there are securities surrounding the house.
She went to her window, looking out to see the huge securities standing on every perimeter in the compound.
But one thing is for sure, she has to leave this house tonight, so she must do something.
An idea came to her mind, and she didn't think it twice before sliding out through her window.
Thankfully, there are pillars to skid through, and there are designed bricks to place her legs on as she skimmed the wall.
Her eyes widened when her cap dropped from her head, falling down the securities angle.
She stopped breathing as she peered down, thinking she got caught, but they didn't even see the cap, so she bit slightly at her upper lip before continuing.
Steady, steady, till she slipped into the shootout next to her room and breathed out in relief.
She dusted her shirt and was about to go down the open stairs when the scornful voice spoke.
"Ohhh, look who's snooping around. I regret that my room is beside yours, otherwise you wouldn't be using my shootout as your escape route"
Ixora smirked, her lids lifting as she turned around to see exactly who she expected.
Serena, her cousin who stays in this mansion with them.
Serena is an annoying pest, and it's even more annoying that they attend the same college.
She's leaning on the rails, her wild eyes logged in on Ixora, and she's wearing exactly what Ixora is wearing.
Bum shorts, big tee, including the face cap. Only the colors are different.
Ixora took quick steps to her and took the face cap from her head, wearing it instead.
"I lost mine to the ground, figured out I could take yours" she smiled - an unfriendly one.
Serena stepped closer too, so they're right in front of each other. She's taller, but Ixora is fleshier.
"You might wanna see this" Serena suddenly shoved her phone screen at Ixora's face, and what Ixora saw made her snatch the phone from her.
It's a picture of Kelsey-Serena's bestie, going into her dad's mansion.
"What the fûck is Kelsey going to do with my dad!" Ixora demanded impatiently.
"What do you think?" Serena winked with sass, taking the phone from her.
"You dumbo!" Ixora spat, rushing down the stairs while the echo of Serena's laughter followed her like a shadow.
Ixora totally forgot about the pouring rain till she got to the base of the stairs and the rain began beating her, but she didn't care.
She needs to go to her dad's mansion first to stop Kelsey.
If Kelsey fûcks her dad, she'd legit be pained, so she quickened her steps, the rainwater gumming the strands of her hair on her shoulder.
Thankfully, there are no securities in this side of the compound cos Serena once poured hot water on one of them, so she freely walked to the fence.
She struggled to lift herself over the top, and she had no idea how tall the fence was till she got to the top and felt like she's on a skyscraper.
It was her alone against the rain as she began struggling to jump down too, but surprisingly, someone held her from the other side, carrying her down gently.
It's Romeo, her driver and bodyguard who happens to be attending the same college with her too.
"Romeo? You already went home after dropping me earlier" she said surprisingly.
The fox-eyed guy bowed a little, then he unfolded his black umbrella and covered her with it, leaving himself to keep getting soaked in the rain.
"The repair shop called that your Cadillac repair was done, so I brought it" he said, pointing at the red car in front of the gate.
"And you came in the rain? You could have waited till tomorrow morning" she said, wanting to touch his wet sleeves, but he slightly shifted back from her hand, making her drop it.
"Are you going somewhere?" He asked immediately.
"Good thing you came, take me to my dad's" she replied, walking to the Cadillac already. He followed, opening the door for her.
She got in the backseat, and he carefully shut the door, getting in to start the drive.
Fog clouded the streets, making it hard to see clearly, but Romeo still drove through it.

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
Danielle Harris is the daughter of an overprotective police chief and has led a sheltered life. As a kindergarten teacher, she's as far removed from the world of Harleys and bikers as you could get, but when she's rescued by the sexy and dangerous Austin Carver, her life is changed forever.

Will Booker be able to find the source of the threat before it's too late?
Will Dani finally give her heart to a man who's everything she's been warned about?
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
Balance of Light and Shadow
Little did she know how much both worlds need her to bring peace and true freedom.
