Chapter 1
|| VALERIA ADDAM's POV ||
" Welcome Back To New York, Val! You look ravishing as usual!", Ezra welcomed me warmly at our very first reunion party. She was cheerful as usual and never changed, always giving out her big smile.
I smiled back nervously, eyes swiping over the number of familiar faces that I had seen in the past. They were all grown up like me. I was no longer the seventeen-year-old girl who would cry in a corner just because someone called my hair ugly. At the age of twenty-seven, I had crossed all the immature levels of my life.
This reunion party came as a surprise to me. Right after I landed in New York yesterday, my old friends contacted me to tell me that they were throwing a big reunion party. I was invited as well. Despite the uneasiness, I wanted to come just to see how they changed over the years.
Riverview was one of the most promising schools of that time. We came in first in every sector and have held the reputation until today. Ezra was the main organizer of this event. So, she showed me everything excitedly,
" I can't believe that you will come. What good luck indeed! Anyways, catch up with our section girls there. I will be back soon."
She left in a hurry and I gazed up to see the girls from my section. The one with a big bun called Siara waved at me happily before swaying her ass to come on my way. She gave me a small hug before telling me,
" Valeria Addams!! Long time! My goodness! Ezra said that you won't ever come back to this city."
Well, I thought the same because this city has nothing to give me except pain and my bitter memories. Even breathing there was a curse for me. I smiled back awkwardly, trying to seem unaffected by my emotions,
" It was my plan honestly but now it's changed."
I tried my luck in foreign but it didn't go well. Now, I thought that it was my best chance to shine in New York with the best degrees that I had earned. Nothing special..I just wanted to start a shop of my own but before that, I needed a secure job to gather some money.
Siara nodded with understanding and asked in a doubtful tone,
" Well.. about your father.."
Oh damn! I didn't want to talk about the bitter memories that I was trying hard to forget. Everyone in the town knew that my father wasn't a good man but this didn't mean that she had to bring it up everywhere.
My face became uncomfortable without realizing it. Before she could push more questions on me, a warm voice soothed my soul,
" I think, we should avoid personal questions here. It's a reunion party, dude."
I looked behind my savior with a warm smile. There, my perfect boyfriend, Rowan Brook. Whenever I thought that I was a miserable being in the whole world, his presence comforted me. His deep brown eyes pinned on Siara who eventually stopped asking.
Rowan and I had been dating for almost six years. We completed our graduation in Canada together and even came back to our home in New York together. I could never ask more of him.
Siara went off with a huff. Rowan smiled big, coming next to me. His hand casually wrapped around my waist and told me,
" You okay?"
I nodded with a small smile and heard Ezra's voice through the speaker that interrupted our conversation,
" Hello, Ladies & Gentlemen! Welcome to the reunion party of our favorite Riverview High School. We have many many special segments for everyone. But right now, I would like to start with our most interesting game, The Guess Kissing Game."
The crowd chirped together happily. I made a puzzled face, not understanding the game at all. I had never played anything before. Ezra continued, explaining the rules through her speaker,
" So the boyfriends will stand on the stage when the lights go off. One girlfriend has to go over there with her eyes wrapped and find her right boyfriend to kiss. It's okay. It's just a game. Don't take it personally guys. Am I clear? Brace yourself, girls."
" Holy shit!", I cursed, shooting Rowan a baffled look. What if I kissed someone else?
Rowan assured me, pulling me into his embrace,
" It's a game. Don't be so nervous! I know, you can find me easily. Remember, last time..You managed to recognize my scent?"
I bit my lips together tightly. Yes, I won last time hence today wouldn't be anything different. After spending so many years with him, it was easy to track down his facial features.
I never thought that the game would be so exciting. Most of the girls in my class had come with their boyfriends or partners. So, it had become a sort of loyalty test for the girlfriends. I was standing in front of the stage. Ezra had already tied the black clothing around my eyes. The lights were off already but they still had to put this bandage.
Ezra shouted through the speaker again, sounding more excited than before,
" Come on, Valeria! The one who finds it fast is the winner. I know, you can do it. Come on!"
I took a deep breath and stumbled to get on the stage. There were more than fifteen boys on the stage who came with their partners. God knows where Rowan was standing. After the first few steps, I used my nose to track him down. Rowan used his dark chocolate-flavored scent always. Usually, the smell was very rough and strong. After wandering around the stage for a while, I finally got the smell that I was looking for. He was standing on the left, a few steps away from me.
A proud smile crept on my face to think how I knew my boyfriend better so quickly. Dragging my footsteps that way, I anticipated the moment to grab and kiss him in front of everyone.
My heart sped up like a teen who was going to have her first kiss with each step on his way. When I was just a step away from him, someone pushed me to the other side. Before I could fathom anything, a cold pair of sinful lips caught me by surprise. I felt blank momentarily, too blank to do anything.
At the moment, my mind started to get fresher, and the same familiar feeling of bubble gum hit my nostrils. It was the same intoxicating as before, carrying the same craziness that I never wished to witness again in this life. The kiss froze me at my steps until I heard a whispering voice in my ears,
" Welcome back, Principessa!"

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

“I just didn’t want you to see all my scars,” I whispered, feeling ashamed of my marked body.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?

Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human
A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
