“What is it? You’re actually welcome to sit in my class. I don’t mind,” my professor chimed in flirtatiously. I rolled my eyes at her tone—after all, she was only a few years older than us. Apparently, she was a genius who had accelerated through school and graduated early.
“Oh, no, thanks for the offer.”
I could practically feel the heat of every girl’s gaze in the room. Why wouldn’t they stare? He was the campus darling, Mr. Perfect—everyone adored him.
“I just wanted to give this to Ms. Smith.”
I watched as every pair of eyes shifted toward me, while I sat there feeling like I was about to die on the spot.
Without hesitation, the idiot waltzed inside, that annoying smirk still plastered on his face, and handed me a paper bag.
“You forgot this. You were in such a rush. I told you, I could’ve given you a ride so you wouldn’t get stuck in traffic, but no, you just had to be stubborn.”
I forced a tight-lipped smile before taking the bag from his hand.
“Oh, and your underwear is in there too. Also, you have an overnight later, right? Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
My eyes widened in pure horror, but he just grinned and casually strolled toward the door.
I held my breath until he reached the entrance. Okay. That’s enough—
“Cole, why do you have Laura’s stuff? Do you guys hang out?”
My damn classmate’s question made my eyes grow even bigger. Everyone immediately turned their attention back to the idiot.
And just from his smirk, I knew he was about to say something outrageous.
“Oh, no. We don’t just hang out, honey. We actually live together.”
And with that, he left the room.
For fuck’s sake! Why didn’t he clarify?!
