I, Anastasia Dawson and this is my story.
Chapter 1
ANASTASIA POINT OF VIEW
I entered the bedroom and headed straight to the bathroom to freshen up. After cleaning my body, I brushed my teeth and changed into my pajamas. I crawled into bed and closed my eyes, hoping to fall asleep quickly. However, my mind was still haunted by the terrifying dream I had just experienced. I jolted awake, my heart racing and my body drenched in sweat. I quickly got out of bed and made my way to the kitchen to grab a glass of water from the fridge. As I sipped the cool liquid, I tried to calm my nerves and shake off the remnants of the nightmare. Eventually, I felt my body relax and I headed back to bed, hoping for a peaceful night's sleep.
The memories of my parents, who had once disguised themselves as wolves, haunted me, making me question my own identity. Was I destined to be a wolf like them?
With a sense of urgency, I hastily packed my belongings and grabbed a piece of paper to leave a heartfelt letter for Coach. I knew that my choice would inflict pain upon my recognized father, Damian, but I had no other option but to defy his wishes this time. Running away seemed like the only solution, as I was certain he would try to dissuade me from following through with my decision.
As I arrived at the bus station, I stole a moment to gaze wistfully towards home. It pained me to leave without bidding farewell, but it was a sacrifice I had to make. The journey to Arizona stretched on for hours, and exhaustion eventually overcame me, causing me to drift into a deep slumber.
"Ma'am, we have arrived," the bus driver's voice jolted me awake, accompanied by a warm smile.
I quickly gathered my belongings and disembarked from the bus. I had finally reached my destination, the Youngsville station, and in the distance, I could see the majestic forest beckoning me. With determination in my heart, I set off on foot towards our old house, ensuring I had a bottle of water to sustain me along the way.
After a few moments, I stood before our dilapidated home, my knees trembling with a mix of anticipation and fear. The house, overrun by countless spiders, exuded an eerie aura. The door, covered in a thick layer of dust, appeared as though it could crumble at any moment. The surroundings were eerily quiet, with only the gentle chirping of birds breaking the silence. It was a peaceful place, a stark contrast to the brutal murder that had taken place here, claiming the lives of my parents.
As my eyes fell upon the very spot where their bodies lay, drenched in blood, an overwhelming surge of emotions washed over me. Tears streamed down my face uncontrollably, a testament to the immense pain that consumed me. The gruesome image of a werewolf mercilessly taking the lives of my beloved parents played on an endless loop in my mind, haunting me relentlessly. Even now, the memory of that man's demonic visage remains etched in my memory.
Seeking solace, I retreated to our room, hoping to find some semblance of comfort amidst the chaos. However, my search came to an abrupt halt as I caught the sound of a man's voice behind me. Instinctively, I turned away, unable to face the unknown presence that lurked in the shadows.
The old man's voice startled me as he asked, "Who are you?" I turned around to face him, noticing a strange smell emanating from him. He held a cane and pointed it at me, but I stood my ground.
"I am Anastasia Dawson, the daughter of Mr.&Mrs.Dawson," I replied firmly, defending my presence in my parents' house.
The old man's serious expression softened as he asked if I knew my parents. Curiosity piqued, I asked him the same question. He hesitated before revealing that he was a werewolf, just like my parents. I learned that my father was a Beta and my mother was a human with wolf blood, making me a wolf too.
The old man, who introduced himself as Alfred, explained that he was my father's best friend and a werewolf Omega. He revealed that an Alpha, seeking to augment his power, had killed my parents because he believed their combined blood could enhance his abilities.
I was left with more questions than answers, but I couldn't deny my newfound interest in the world of werewolves. As I listened to Alfred's stories about my father and their pack, I couldn't help but wonder about the creature that had taken my parents' lives.
An Alpha with a burning desire to enhance his already formidable power was responsible for the tragic demise of your beloved parents," he revealed.
"Why would he do such a thing? Why?!" I exclaimed, my voice trembling with raw emotion.
"Because he firmly believes that by combining the blood of a potent beta and a human, he can amplify his own strength," he explained.
"He's nothing but a savage beast!" I seethed, my fists clenching tightly in a display of anger.
"Where can I find him? Where?!" I demanded, my eyes blazing with determination.
"Compose yourself, Ana. Don't let your anger consume you. You cannot challenge an Alpha," he cautioned.
"I don't care!" I shouted defiantly.
"Please, I implore you to help me seek justice for my parents' untimely demise," I pleaded, tears streaming down my face.
"Without caution, you will meet your demise in pursuit of the justice you seek, Crema," he responded gravely, turning his back on me.
"Alfred, talk to me! Come back!" I cried out, but my pleas fell on deaf ears.
Frustration and rage coursed through my veins, culminating in a primal growl that escaped my lips. I abruptly sat up in bed, drenched in sweat. Burying my face in my hands, I took deep breaths in an attempt to regain composure. Eventually, I lay back down, closing my eyes. However, the haunting images from my nightmare refused to release their grip on my mind. My body trembled, and perspiration continued to bead on my forehead.
Leaving the confines of my room, I searched for Alfred. I found him engrossed in a book within a small chamber. This marked the second time I would beseech him to aid me and divulge his knowledge.
"I dreamt of it again, Alfred. I dreamt of what transpired," I confessed, tears streaming down my face as I took a seat before him.
"Please, Alfred, help me bring justice to their memory," I pleaded earnestly.
"I made a promise to your father that I would safeguard you to the best of my abilities, Ana," he responded with utmost seriousness.
"But I cannot bear the thought of perishing without achieving justice. Please, Alfred," I implored, desperation lacing my words.
A heavy sigh escaped him before he spoke. His gaze bore into mine, filled with a mixture of concern.
With a smile on my face, I listened intently to his words and made a vow to learn everything I could about wolves and their world. I was determined to see my decision through, no matter what. I delved deep into their world, studying their every move and weakness, especially that of the Alpha who had mercilessly taken my parents from me.
But it wasn't until I met Alfred that everything truly became clear. With his help, I gained the courage and strength to take revenge on the demonic Alpha and his pack of eight hundred werewolves. I underwent intense training for three months, learning to control my inherent power and not harm innocent people.
As I set out on my journey, carrying only a bag of food, I felt a strange hunger and stopped to hunt a deer. But as I prepared to feast, I felt a strange transformation coming over me. I fought it off, not wanting to become the very creature that had destroyed my life.
As I roasted the venison and settled in for the night, I heard the sounds of wild animals circling me. But just as I prepared for the worst, a man appeared before me, startling me with his sudden appearance.
