Introduction
Everything changes when Adrian Belfort, her father's distant step-brother and a reclusive billionaire jeweler, returns from Europe after four years. Adrian was like an uncle to Clara, but his reappearance brings an unexpected shift. Adrian's intense and almost protective gaze unsettles Clara, hinting at feelings beyond familial affection.
Chapter 1
The morning sunlight streamed through the lace curtains of Clara Miller's bedroom, casting delicate patterns on the walls. She sat at her vanity, brushing her long, chestnut hair with absent-minded strokes, her thoughts drifting to the day ahead. Senior year was both a daunting and exciting prospect. She was eager to graduate, yet the future seemed an overwhelming expanse of uncertainty. As she finished tying the ribbon in her hair, she heard the low hum of voices from downstairs.
Clara frowned slightly. Her father rarely had visitors this early in the morning. She grabbed her schoolbag, smoothing down her plaid skirt, and made her way to the staircase. Her footsteps were light, almost hesitant, as she descended.
As Clara reached the bottom step, she stopped, her eyes widening in surprise. Seated at the breakfast table with her father was a man she hadn't seen in four years. Adrian Belfort. His presence was both startling and strangely familiar, like a forgotten melody suddenly remembered.
Adrian looked up from his conversation with her father, his piercing blue eyes locking onto hers. For a moment, Clara felt a peculiar flutter in her chest. There was something different in the way he regarded her, an intensity that hadn’t been there before. He seemed a bit older now, his features more defined and some silver strands coming up on his hair, exuding a confidence that commanded the room.
"Clara," her father said, his voice warm but slightly formal. "Look who stepped by to visit. You surely remember Adrian, don’t you?"
Clara nodded, a shy smile touching her lips. "Of course I remember him, dad! I wasn’t a baby the last time I saw him. Good morning, Mr. Belfort. It’s good to see you again. My father thinks I have the memory skills of a toddler."
Adrian’s gaze softened as he smiled back at her. "Good morning, Clara. You’ve grown up quite a bit since I last saw you. How long has it been? Four years?"
"Yes," Clara replied, feeling a slight blush creep into her cheeks. She pulled out a chair and sat down, her movements careful and precise.
Her father, Richard Miller, a man who bore the weight of his lost fortune with a quiet dignity, poured her a glass of orange juice. "Adrian just returned from Europe. We were discussing some business opportunities."
Clara nodded, listening intently. Business was a common topic in their household, especially since her father’s gambling losses had significantly impacted their financial situation. The trust fund left by her late mother was their lifeline, ensuring they could maintain a semblance of their previous lifestyle.
Adrian’s return was unexpected, but it brought a sense of nostalgia. Clara’s grandfather married Adrian’s mother after his first wife, Clara’s grandmother, died, which was a scandal at the time since his mother was a single mom from a middle class family. Andrian ended up becoming a jewelry business billionaire mogul, richer than her father’s family ever was. He had been like an uncle to her, sometimes present at family gatherings and holidays, but he always kept some distance. Seeing him now, after so many years, stirred a mix of emotions within her.
"I’ve missed our talks, Clara," Adrian said, his tone casual yet sincere. "It’s good to be back."
Clara smiled again, feeling a little more at ease. "I’ve missed them too. How was Europe?"
Adrian leaned back in his chair, his eyes never leaving hers. "Europe was... enlightening. But there’s no place like home."
Clara nodded, turning her attention to her plate. The conversation between her father and Adrian resumed, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that something had changed. The way Adrian looked at her was different, more focused, almost as if he was seeing her for the first time.
Clara glanced at the clock on the wall, realizing she needed to hurry if she didn't want to be late for school. She set her fork down gently and looked up at her father and Adrian.
“I need to leave for school now,” she announced, pushing her chair back and standing up.
Adrian glanced at his watch and then back at her, a small smile playing on his lips. “I need to be going as well. How about I give you a ride, Clara?”
Clara hesitated for a moment, but the prospect of riding in Adrian’s luxury car was too intriguing to pass up. “That would be nice, thank you.”
After a brief exchange of goodbyes with her father, Clara followed Adrian outside. The sleek, black car gleamed in the morning sunlight, a stark contrast to the more modest surroundings of the Miller household. Adrian opened the passenger door for her, and she slipped inside, the scent of fine leather filling her senses.
As they drove through the quiet streets, Clara enjoyed the wind on her face, her hair fluttering softly. The scenery passed by in a blur of green and gold, the early summer morning casting a warm glow over everything. For a few moments, she allowed herself to forget the pressures of school and family, simply reveling in the luxury of the moment.
Before long, they arrived at Rosewood Academy. Clara turned to Adrian with a grateful smile. “Thank you for the ride, Mr. Belfort.”
She reached for the door handle, but Adrian’s hand gently stopped her. “Allow me,” he said, his voice smooth and insistent.
Adrian stepped out and circled the car, opening the door for her in a gentlemanly fashion. Clara felt a flush of warmth in her cheeks as she smiled up at him, appreciating the old-world charm of his gesture. She took his offered hand to get out of the car, but in her haste, she stumbled slightly. Adrian’s grip tightened, steadying her.
“Careful,” he murmured, his eyes meeting hers with a concerned look.
Clara’s blush deepened, a mix of embarrassment and something else she couldn’t quite define. “Thank you,” she said softly.
Adrian’s hand lingered for a moment before he released her, his touch warm and reassuring. Clara stepped back, smoothing down her skirt as she tried to regain her composure. “I’ll see you later,” she said, offering him a shy smile.
“Have a good day at school, Clara,” Adrian replied, his gaze following her as she walked toward the entrance of the academy.

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

King of the Underworld
However, one fateful day, the King of the Underworld appeared before me and rescued me from the clutches of the most powerful Mafia boss's son. With his deep blue eyes fixed on mine, he spoke softly: "Sephie... short for Persephone... Queen of the Underworld. At last, I have found you." Confused by his words, I stammered out a question, “P..pardon? What does that mean?”
But he simply smiled at me and brushed my hair away from my face with gentle fingers: "You are safe now.”
Sephie, named for the Queen of the Underworld, Persephone, she's quickly finding out how she's destined to fulfill her namesake's role. Adrik is the King of the Underworld, the boss of all bosses in the city he runs.

Shattered Girl
“I’m sorry, sweetheart. Was that too much?” I could see the worry in his eyes as I took a deep breath.
“I just didn’t want you to see all my scars,” I whispered, feeling ashamed of my marked body.
Emmy Nichols is used to surviving. She survived her abusive father for years until he beat her so severely, she ended up in the hospital, and her father was finally arrested. Now, Emmy is thrown into a life she never expected. Now she has a mother

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
