Introduction
A week ago, he buried his face in my neck late at night, whispering that the city was suffocating him. He wanted to take me back to his hometown to meet Octavia, the grandmother who had single-handedly raised him.
I agreed without hesitation.
But on Crane Island, every night Dorian would slip out of our bed, using Octavia's gout as an excuse.
Until that night. I crept barefoot to Octavia’s door and pressed my ear against the wood.

Chapter 1
Faye's POV
Dorian, my boyfriend of three years, was a partner at a top-tier Boston law firm. He was gentle, refined, and absolutely flawless.
What I heard wasn’t a sick old woman. It was Dorian’s heavy panting, mixed with the shameless, breathy moans of a young woman...
"Hang in there, Faye. We're almost docking." Dorian’s warm hand rubbed my back, his voice thick with apology. "I'm sorry, I forgot how rough the ferry ride to Crane Island could be."
I leaned weakly against his chest, swallowing the bile rising in my throat, and managed a sweet, understanding smile.
The ferry slammed into the dock with a loud clank. The rotting wooden planks groaned beneath our feet. The gray fog hung unnaturally low, making the entire island feel like a massive iron cage.
"You look terrible. Stay right here, I’m going to grab you some water from that shack." He kissed my forehead and vanished into the fog.
The wind was biting. I pulled out my phone—zero signal—just as three deeply unsettling stares locked onto me.
Three men in grimy waterproof jackets reeking of cheap bourbon boxed me in.
"Well, well. Look at the pretty little thing the tide washed in," the leader sneered, his rough hand already reaching for my waist. "Lost, sweetheart? Want us to take you somewhere warm?"
I instinctively stepped back.
"Get your filthy hands off her."
The glacial voice sliced through the fog behind me. I spun around.
Dorian stood a few feet away, a bottle of water in his hand. His usual polished, gentlemanly demeanor was entirely gone. His eyes boiled with a terrifying, homicidal rage I hadn't seen in our three years together.
The men froze, then erupted into mocking laughter.
"Look who it is! If it ain't Dorian!" the leader taunted, slick and sneering. "Heard you made something of yourself in the city. Guess that just means playing lapdog to a rich city girl, huh?"
The muscle in Dorian’s jaw ticked violently before he swallowed his fury. When he looked at me, the mask was back—the perfectly worried, doting boyfriend.
"Ignore these trashy drunks. Let’s go."
He threw his arm around my shoulders, his grip so tight it felt like he was trying to crush my collarbone, and didn't let go until he pushed open a heavy wooden door. In the dim living room, a figure stepped forward.
"My sweet boy, you finally came home."
Octavia. Dorian’s grandmother. She wore a pilled, cheap cardigan, her face deeply lined. She looked like the absolute picture of a poor, kindly country woman.
But as she hugged me, something caught my eye.
Nestled deep in her collar was a stunning, elaborately crafted ruby necklace.
I lowered my gaze, tracing the hand she rested on Dorian’s arm. The skin was smooth, without a wrinkle. Her fingernails were perfectly manicured.
A destitute island widow who supposedly raised her grandson on scavenged seaweed?
Sirens wailed in my head.
"It’s so nice to meet you, Octavia. Dorian has told me how hard you worked for him." I pulled a velvet box from my bag. "A little something for you."
Dorian pointed to a dark corner of the room. "Faye, that’s my cousin, Juniper."
I followed his gaze. A scrawny girl, maybe ten years old, was huddled over a chipped table, violently scribbling in a sketchbook with a piece of charcoal.
"Hi Juniper, I brought you a gift too." I approached gently, holding out a ribbon-tied box.
Nothing.
"Juniper!" Dorian snapped, his voice dripping with undisguised disgust. "Faye is talking to you. Were you raised by dogs?"
The girl flinched violently, the charcoal tearing a harsh black slash across the paper.
"Now, Dorian, don't scare her," Octavia chimed in quickly, sighing as she looked at me. "Faye, the poor thing was in a shipwreck when she was little. The trauma made her mute. She doesn't have friends; drawing is all she has."
"I'm sorry, I was too abrupt," I smiled apologetically.
"You two must be exhausted. I’ll go warm up some stew." Octavia turned to the kitchen.
"I’ll chop some firewood for you, it’s too heavy," Dorian offered dutifully. He ruffled my hair before leaving. "Sit by the fire and rest. Don't worry about a thing."
The heavy door clicked shut behind them.
In the gloomy, quiet room, it was just me and the mute girl in the corner.
I didn't sit by the fire. Instead, I moved silently behind Juniper.
On the sketchbook she was pressing down so fiercely, twisted silhouettes of women were trapped behind a dense, chaotic cage of black lines.
And right now, following the frantic scratching of her charcoal...
A horrified face that looked exactly like my profile was forming on the page, being slowly suffocated by the dark web.

Moonfire: Betrayed By The Alpha
Alpha Caden Blackwell believed those words would break me. That after three years of marriage marked by silence, humiliation, and quiet rejection, I would fear a life without him.
I did once.
As the Luna of the Shadowcrest Pack, I gave everything to a man my wolf recognized as her mate, enduring whispers, cold stares, and a pack that never truly accepted me. I stayed because I believed love required endurance. Because I believed patience would one day be rewarded.
That belief shattered the night Caden welcomed his former lover back into our home, along with a child he claimed as his heir. It ended the moment his choices nearly cost me my life and the life of one of my unborn pups. Leaving was no longer a matter of pride. It was survival.
Caden does not know the woman who walked away. He still sees the Luna who waited, who forgave, who loved without limits. He does not see Nova Ashton, a woman capable of rebuilding her identity and claiming a future on her own terms.
I will never crawl back.
GO ON YOUR KNEES, ALPHA.
He was wrong.
Six years ago, Pete Leadsilver had everything an Alpha could want. Power, a respected pack and a future already written for him.
Then he met me.
What began as a game became a mistake I would spend years trying to survive. When I told him I was carrying his child, Pete chose not to believe me. He rejected me, humiliated me, and allowed the people around him to make sure I understood that there was no place for me in his world.
So I disappeared.
I took the secret of my pregnancy with me and built a life far away from the Alpha who had broken me.
Six years later, Pete finds me again. Only this time, he isn't the man with all the power. His pack is dying, his people are running out of time, and I may be the only person capable of saving them.
But I'm no longer the woman Pete remembers. And beside me is a little boy who carries far too much of Pete's face to be a coincidence.
Our reunion should have been about a cure, but instead, it becomes the beginning of a war neither of us saw coming.
Because Pete's greatest danger isn't outside his pack.
It's inside his own family.
Old resentment turns into manipulation. Loyalty becomes betrayal. And the people Pete trusts begin hiding secrets that threaten to destroy everything he's built.
Then someone comes for the people I love.
Suddenly, this is no longer about whether Pete can earn my forgiveness.
It's about whether he can keep me alive.
Whether he can protect the son he never knew existed.
Whether he can uncover the truth before the people closest to him destroy everything he has finally learned to value.
Along the way, we'll lose people we thought would always stand beside us, I'll be forced to confront wounds I've spent six years trying to bury, and the family we're slowly building will be tested in ways neither of us could have imagined.
Because sometimes love isn't the hardest thing to find. Sometimes it's the hardest thing to survive.
Pete once believed power meant never needing anyone and I once believed surviving him meant leaving him behind.
We were both wrong.
Because some bonds refuse to die, some betrayals cut deeper than rejection and some people don't come back into your life to give you a second chance.
They come back to show you exactly what you almost lost.
Pete Leadsilver lost me once.
This time, he'll have to fight to keep the family he never knew he needed.
The rejected white luna

Love's Deadly Equation
I was sent to her.
To watch her. To protect her. And, when the order comes… to kill her.
My name is Keegan Caffery. I’m the Carter Mafia’s best hitman. I don’t miss. I don’t fail.
At least, I didn’t use to.
I don’t know what it is about her that got to me first—her mouth, her mind, or the way she looks at me like I’m not what she should fear.
I’ve had a gun to her head since I walked into her life.
She knows it.
And she still doesn’t run.
She just watches me back like she’s studying a problem she refuses to call impossible.
She’s the one variable I can’t control.
And God help me… I don’t want to.
I have an order. I have loyalty. I have a trigger.
But every time I imagine it—
I can’t stand it.
Her or me. That’s the math.
It’s a deadly equation I don’t want to solve.
⬥ Maisie ⬥
I’m not ordinary. I stopped pretending long ago.
My name is Maisie Seo. IQ 145. Clinical genius.
Which sounds impressive until you realize what it actually means: I don’t fit anywhere people expect me to.
I see patterns everywhere. Outcomes before they happen. People like equations I’ve already solved.
It gets lonely in a world you’ve already figured out.
So I dull myself down. Smoke the edges off. Pretend, badly, to be the kind of normal that lets people stay.
Then he walked in.
I knew what he was immediately. Dangerous. Intentional. Wrong in all the right ways.
I should be afraid of him.
I keep waiting for that to kick in.
Instead, I’m fascinated.
Because for the first time in my life… I’ve found something I can’t solve.
He is my deadly equation.

He doesn't answer.
So she asks: 'What are we?’
He told her not to fall in love with one piece.
She fell anyway.

“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
