Introduction
After her own family calls her a demon and sets a hound on her heels, twelve-year-old Cora flees into the woods—alone, afraid, and carrying a name she never asked for: SUCCUBUS.
Rescued by a strange old woman named Sadie, Cora finds shelter on a quiet farm at the edge of a tight-knit village. But the nights are strange. Sadie whispers Latin verses as she oils Cora’s hair, and with each passing day, Cora feels something dark and hungry unfurling inside her—something that aches in the moonlight.
Then she meets Logan.
Logan is the village outcast: too scrawny, too quiet, and hopelessly invisible. His brother stole his crush. His father beats his mother. And the only girl who ever smiles at him is the beautiful, golden-skinned new arrival with the eyes of a doe and the scent of roses.
But the town remembers the witch hunts of twenty years ago, when magical beings—werewolves, fairies, and demons—were hunted and killed. And as Cora’s power grows, so do the whispers. A stolen necklace. A fight at dusk. A midnight swim in a moonless pond.
In a village where magic is a death sentence and desire feels like betrayal, Cora must decide—run again, or claim the only boy who ever looked at her like she wasn’t a monster.
Chapter 1
Cora Lynn's POV
I kept running, not wanting to stop. I glanced behind me, trying to get a glimpse of the hound chasing me but saw nothing I wiped the tears from my eyes and slowed my pace to quiet steps.
"We need to chase her away," my stepfather Rick muttered.
"Where will she go? We're all she has. It's not her fault the way that she is," my mother had countered.
"It doesn't matter Nora, she is starting to developand will wreck havoc. She must go." He spat.
I laid under the covers; scared of what they meant. I didn't have to wonder long, as the next morning came, my stepfather came walking in with a hound on a leash. After a quick sniff of my shirt my stepfather held, he came bounding after me, snapping the leash like a twig. The memory hurt and I was all alone now, no siblings, no mother or even a stepfather. My two little sisters where like literal demons, but everyone said I was the demon. Pondering on my childohood, riddled with so much trauma and abuse I couldn't help feel a sense of relief of the future that lies ahead
"Get up lazy brat!" my mother would say as she yanked me out of the bed. I was just a child yet I had to wake up and make breakfast for the family I did all the chores and farm duties. I felt more like a maid than a part of the family at just twelve years old. They started calling me a demon after the first pet went missing but it seems it was something they always thought; a memory that pings at the back of the mind. First it was Toby, the fat chonker who kept the church clean of rats. Then another few ctas and dogs over the years. The townsfolk immediately pointed fingers at me, accusing me of tapping into my demon side and drawing power from blood.
Why would they say that? I dont have any issues with animlas. I've never hurt any pet or acted cruelly to anyone. True, Ive slaughtered animals for food, we all have. We live in a farm town so everyone has their own farm with livestock as well. I stopped under a large willow tree. It slowly swayed and hummed in the wind and I glanced up at the majestic trunk. The dark grey tint of the wood and the deep rich scent put my mind at ease as I slowly slid down the tree; my heart rate decreasing. I knew I couldn't stay here long and as the thought crossed my mind I heard the baying of a hound.
I took off running through the increasinlgy thick forest. The smell of willow burned my nostrils as I ran. They think I killed all those animlas, they think I am a demon. I am only a child and here I am running for my life. Suddenly, I broke into a clearing with a dilapidated cabin. I dashed inside; there was no furniture and it was only a single room with a part of the roof collapsed. I closed the door and huddled in the corner. After a while, I peeped out through a hole in the shabby cabin but saw and heard nothing. It was getting late; I've been running all day and now the sun was setting in the distance, casting an orange glow through the forest and into the cabin. Sleep drooped my eyes, and soon I drifted off into a dreamless sleeep.

I hate girls like her.

Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.

The head chef looked like he was silently praying for death.
I rushed forward. “Amara. Stop traumatizing these poor people.”
She spun around, delighted. “Sera! Good, you’re here. Taste this. It’s missing despair.”
The chef’s face morphed into existential crisis.
I grabbed her arm. “Put the spatula down.”
“But—”
“Down.”
With exaggerated offense, she dropped the spatula and muttered, “Fine. But if no one here has artistic vision, that’s not my fault.”
She went undercover to expose a mafia empire.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
Genevieve loses a bet she can’t afford to pay. In a compromise, she agrees to convince any man her opponent chooses to go home with her that night. What she doesn’t realize when her sister’s friend points out the brooding man sitting alone at the bar, is that man won’t be okay with just one night with her. No, Matteo Accardi, Don of one of the largest gangs in New York City doesn’t do one night stands. Not with her anyway.
I Found the Babies
"When..." He growled in my ear, "When we will be getting married, I will be your only king, do you get my point? Only one queen, no misters or mistresses. Just me, just you, and yeah, our babies."
I shivered.
Alyssa Reynolds found herself in a situation, while returning home from work, and she had three choices:
Simply walk away and forget that you ever heard the sound of wailing infants.
Call the police and inform them about the innocent wails.
Follow the sounds of the wails and take the matter in your hands, deciding what to do later.
Being a kindhearted soul and a sucker for babies, she found herself choosing the third option, finding the two little lives.
Two little lives that changed her whole life, her love life included. Her life now revolved around the babies as diapers, vomit and shit seemed to surround her.
Just when she thought that now it's just her and the babies, her whole world flipped over and she found herself living under the same roof as the egotistical, obnoxious and hot-as-hell Terence Powers, the business tycoon who was not going to let the woman fend off for herself and the babies alone.
