Introduction
Chapter 1
Bernice’s POV
“Well, what do we have here?” An unfamiliar male voice spoke low and threateningly.
My body felt like it was on fire as I writhed, almost naked, on the ground; wiggling into the sand to try and find some sort of relief.
“It seems to be an omega in heat,” laughed another male voice.
No. I’m not an omega… I’m an alpha. I’m an alpha. I’m an alpha!
I kept repeating those same words in my mind.
Moments ago, those words would have been almost true. But right now, these rogues were right. I was nothing more than a weak omega wolf who has gone into heat.
It was only an hour ago that the other alpha warriors and I returned to our campsite from the battle against the vampires trespassing on our lands. It was a battle I thought was never going to end.
I ran quicker than the others when we heard the howls of our Alpha King echoing through the night’s air, indicating the beginning of the battle. My body was a huge white streak as I shot lightning-fast through the forest grounds. Still, in comparison to the Alpha King, his massive size made my own seem normal, which was unusual.
However, I was used to being unusual.
I was a myth, a nightmare, a ghost story.
I was as unusual as they came.
My name is Bernice, and as far as Alpha King Landry and other Alphas know, I am the female Alpha of Sunset Pack.
Next to the Alpha King, I was one of the strongest and fiercest fighters.
Since I was 12, I had made a promise to not only protect my pack but to protect the kingdom from all enemies. Be the wolves, bears, or the great vampires who were the strongest of us all.
However, tonight was the night of the full moon – the time when wolves are the strongest and vampires … well, the vampires will beg for our mercy.
We fought until the last of the vampires were gone – we fought until we were truly victorious.
The celebration began before we even returned to our campsite. I can’t help but smile as my comrades applauded and cheered for our victory.
“Hooray!! Sweet Victory!
“Let those stupid vampires die!”
“Our Alpha King and the female alpha are truly invincible!”
I was glad to see my tent in the distance as we ran toward our campsite after a long day’s battle. I knew the others wanted to continue the celebration, but I wanted uninterrupted sleep.
I was so tired -so very tired- and the smell of their post-battle pheromones was giving me a headache.
I didn’t sleep long before waking to this harsh wave of heat. I sat up quickly in my tent, hardly able to breathe and feeling my flesh burning.
“Oh no…” I breathed to myself. “Not now… not like this.”
This wasn’t the first time I had felt this heat; it started happening more often after my 24th birthday. I knew of the grim reasoning behind it, but I had to swallow it into the pit of my stomach.
Nobody could know my secret.
I poked my head out of the tent, to look around at my surroundings, I needed to find a clearing to escape through in the forest. I needed to get away from the others.
The celebration was going strong as the firelight casts shadows across the ground. My fellow warriors' cheers drowned out the crackling bonfire's sounds. All were celebrating, except for myself, and except for Alpha King Landry.
I look over at his tent, which is set up further away from the other tents. He was bedded inside, resting just as I was. We don’t talk much outside of the battleground; he doesn’t notice me when I’m not fighting alongside him.
He wouldn’t notice if I left right now; none of them would.
I take my leave –
At this point, I was reduced to crawling. I couldn’t force myself to my feet. My legs wouldn’t hold my weight. I crawled until I reached the cool sand beneath my belly. It almost soothed the heat that coursed through my flesh. Almost.
I rolled over onto my back and let out a cry as my muscles cramped all at once. The heat only grew worse, and I dug my nails into the cold sand. I grabbed at the seams of my shirt, feeling the fabrics ripping until they were nearly off my body.
That was when I heard the voices of the male rogues.
“Well, what do we have here?
“It seems to be an omega in heat!”
“No way!”
I realized several males were gathering all around me as I wriggled around at their feet, unable to even think about standing due to my pain.
“Look at her squirm!” One of them laughed, kicking at my hip. “She’s hurting all right. She’s just gagging for it!”
I was in full-blown heat!
Why was this happening to me right now?
Was it because I pushed too far in this last battle?
Being the female alpha, or pretending to be one, was the hardest thing I’d ever imagined doing. I did it for my family. I did it for my people.
--I did it because I had no choice.
I could feel my nipples were hard beads and I knew they could see it too. My throat tightened as I grew wetter between my thighs. Primal instincts had me rubbing my legs together to try to find some relief. I felt as if I was drowning in my own desires.
I didn’t want this.
One of them grabbed onto my pants and I could hear the fabrics ripping. Thankfully, I had managed to slip into my personal clothing and out of my alpha uniform. But as my pants ripped, the rogues howled with laughter and whistles.
“No!” I begged them just as they through my pants to the side with my shirt. I was exposed to them, and they knew they had me at their mercy. “Please stay away from me! Leave me alone!”
Tears welled up in my eyes. The rogue who nudged me with his foot leaned over me with a cruel smirk and said, “You don’t really want us to go, little omega. Smell your scents. Your body wants us all to satisfy you.”
Would I even survive all of them? Could my body handle so many males trying to put out the fire of my heat?
It would surely kill me.
“No!” I cried out again, hoping to attract the attention of some of my warrior wolves. They wouldn’t recognize me immediately and I could be out of there quickly.
The circle of rogues grew tighter as they pushed closer; closer to each other, closer to my scent.
“Get away from that Omega, you dirty demons!” roared the angriest-sounding male I’d ever heard.
His voice was familiar to me, but I couldn’t figure out who he was until he shoved his way through the circle to crouch at my side.
Landry! The Alpha King!
The rogues seemed small in comparison to Landry and even they knew they were no match.
“Retreat!” One shouted.
“Run away! Otherwise, the Alpha King will tear us apart!” Said another.
It would have made me laugh if I wasn’t so uncomfortable.
I was expecting the Alpha King to chase after them, but to my surprise, he didn’t. I knew I needed to get out of there before he recognized me.
But I was just so hot…
Landry searched my face; I knew he didn’t recognize me. At least not yet. But he seemed perplexed by me, maybe even curious. It was because I was in heat; Omegas’ in heat are known to be irresistible, even to the Alpha King.
“What are you doing out here? A war camp is no place for an omega alone.”
Twisting toward him, I bit my swollen lips and begged him, “Please! Help me!”
His scent was making me crazy! I wanted to crawl back to my tent to hide until my heat was over---but Alpha King Landry smelled so good I wanted him more!
I reached for him; my fingers drawn almost into claws as I burned beside him with need.
“Please,” I said as I curled my fingers around his ankle, “Help me…”
Why was he waiting? Why wasn’t he touching me? Didn’t he want me?
Landry slid his huge arms under my body to lift me against his chest.
The Alpha King stood with me as easily as if I were a feather rather than a full-grown female.
“Strawberries. Delicious,” he murmurs, making no sense to me at all as I twisted in his arms to press my breasts against his bare chest.
A surge of lust went through me just as the moonlight struck me right in the face.
His eyes are large as he scans me as he’s finally able to get a good look at me before he breathes, “It’s you…”

Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
King of the Underworld
However, one fateful day, the King of the Underworld appeared before me and rescued me from the clutches of the most powerful Mafia boss's son. With his deep blue eyes fixed on mine, he spoke softly: "Sephie... short for Persephone... Queen of the Underworld. At last, I have found you." Confused by his words, I stammered out a question, “P..pardon? What does that mean?”
But he simply smiled at me and brushed my hair away from my face with gentle fingers: "You are safe now.”
Sephie, named for the Queen of the Underworld, Persephone, she's quickly finding out how she's destined to fulfill her namesake's role. Adrik is the King of the Underworld, the boss of all bosses in the city he runs.
She was a seemingly normal girl, with a normal job until it all changed one night when he walked through the front door and her life changed abruptly. Now, she finds herself on the wrong side of powerful men, but under the protection of the most powerful among them.
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
