Vivian · Ongoing · 109.0k Words
Introduction
Instead, I found him toasting champagne with the sister who put me there.
My daughter was starved in an orphanage. My father died alone, his grave unmarked.
And my husband? He threw me back into the snow to die.
A stranger pulled me from the cold. He didn’t offer comfort. He offered a choice.
“Do you want to make them pay?”
Now the man who buried me is begging on his knees. But hell taught me one thing:
Some sins don’t deserve forgiveness.
Chapter 1
When Skylar Sterling escaped from St. Anne Psychiatric Center, she was already in terrible shape.
She climbed over the rusty fence, the sharp spikes tearing into her calves, blood streaming down.
But Skylar could not care about that. She pushed through the pain and walked a full two miles, finally limping her way to the Gresham Villa.
The villa was filled with music and laughter, like some grand party was going on.
She went around to the back door and slipped in through the servants' entrance.
In the ballroom, countless upper-class guests held champagne glasses, dressed in fancy clothes, smiling and celebrating with each other.
Travis stood in the center of the hall, wearing a black suit, standing tall and straight, his sharp profile showing maturity and restraint.
When she saw the woman beside him, Skylar's heart sank.
Her sister, Amber Crowder, was holding onto her husband, Travis Gresham's, arm, wearing a silver backless gown, smiling sweetly.
Skylar walked step by step toward the center of the party. All the guests around her froze.
Travis frowned even more, his voice ice cold, "How did you get out?"
"Travis..." Skylar had just started to speak when Travis covered his nose and stepped back in disgust.
The guests began whispering among themselves.
"Oh my God, is that Mrs. Gresham? How did she end up like this? She smells strange, too. Could she have some kind of contagious disease?"
"I heard three years ago she hurt Mr. Gresham's mother, and Mr. Gresham sent her to a mental hospital."
"Looking at her like that, she really has gone crazy..."
Hearing this gossip, Skylar's heart felt as if it was being cut by knives.
Three years ago, she was framed for hurting Chelsea Gresham. Just when she could not defend herself, Amber produced a photo of her in bed with another man and gave it to Travis.
That photo was obviously photoshopped, but no matter how she explained, Travis would not believe her. In the end, he even took Skylar to court.
Her father, Kyle Sterling, trying to save her, bribed a doctor to provide a certificate stating that she was mentally unstable.
Travis did not let her off because of this. Instead, he had someone lock her up in a psychiatric hospital.
During those years in the psychiatric hospital, Skylar did not have a single good day. She was either shocked with electricity or force-fed medication, sometimes even tied to a bed for days without food or water.
Now, she had finally escaped, only to see Travis throwing a party with Amber, the one who had framed her.
This kind of blow was enough to break anyone.
Skylar's gaze locked onto Amber, feeling her blood boiling throughout her body.
Amber felt uneasy under her stare. She held Travis's arm, her voice soft and weak, "Travis, I am scared..."
Travis squeezed her hand, signaling her not to be afraid, then turned to look at Skylar with cold eyes, "You hurt my mother so badly she is bedridden, and now you want to keep harming Amber?"
Skylar stared blankly at him, protecting Amber, Skylar felt as though her heart had fallen into an ice cave, completely frozen through.
She bit her lip, her voice hoarse, "Travis, we are not divorced yet."
"So what?" Travis raised an eyebrow, the coldness in his eyes deepening, "You think just because you came back, I will accept you?"
Skylar looked desperately at this man she had loved for over ten years.
When she was at her most vulnerable and needed help the most, Travis not only did not reach out to help her, but pushed her into an even deeper hell.
Just then, Amber, who had been standing to the side, stepped forward.
She wanted to grab Skylar's arm, but pulled her hand back halfway, always keeping half a meter away from her, "Sister, do not be like this... Travis is already angry. If you keep making a scene, it will not be good for anyone."
"Do not call me sister! I do not have a sister like you!" Skylar shouted at her angrily.
Although Amber was not Kyle's biological child, she had been brought over by Wilma Crowder when she married into the Sterling family.
Over all these years, Kyle had always treated Amber as his own, and Skylar had always given Amber the best of everything.
She could not understand why Amber had produced that photo to frame her back then.
Amber was startled by her scolding, her eyes immediately turning red.
She looked at Travis pitifully, her voice choking, "Travis, I just wanted to talk some sense into Skylar... but she..."
Travis put his arm around Amber's shoulder, comforting her gently for a while, then turned to look at Skylar, his eyes showing disgust and impatience, "Get out of here right now, or I will call the psychiatric hospital and send you back."
Skylar stood frozen in place, trembling all over.
She looked at this couple in front of her, at the contemptuous and disgusted looks from the guests around her, and felt completely disheartened.
Once, she too had been the glamorous daughter of the Sterling family, highly regarded in high society.
But ever since she fell in love with Travis and married him, everything had changed.
Travis held her sister in his arms, treating her like garbage, ruthlessly trampling her dignity underfoot.
She should not have come here, should not have had even a shred of hope for this man.
"Fine..." Skylar's voice was soft, filled with despair. "I will leave."
She struggled to rise from the ground. The wound on her leg was still bleeding, but she felt no pain, only bone-chilling cold.
"But I am taking my daughter with me." She lifted her head and looked at Travis.
Travis's face immediately darkened, "You still have the nerve to mention her?"
"Skylar, do not be like this..." Amber spoke up again, with fake concern, "We all know that Eileen is the child you had with another man. Travis has been very tolerant, not holding you accountable. Why bring up Eileen in front of everyone and hurt Travis again?"
Skylar looked at her in disbelief, "What are you talking about? Eileen is his daughter!"
"Shut up!" Travis shouted at her angrily, hatred bursting from his eyes. "After you were locked up in the psychiatric hospital, I had Eileen's DNA tested. We have no blood relation at all."
With that, he threw the DNA test report viciously in front of Skylar.
Skylar picked up the report, shaking her head desperately, "No, this cannot be... This report is fake!"
Eileen was her own child. She knew better than anyone that Travis was Eileen's biological father.
Suddenly, she glared at Amber, who was gloating nearby, and lunged at her, "It was you! You are behind this, are you not?"
Amber quickly hid behind Travis, speaking in a mocking tone, "Skylar, you cheated, how can you blame me? Travis was kind-hearted and did not make things difficult for Eileen. He simply sent her to an orphanage. That is already more than generous."
"Do not waste words on her." Travis's eyes showed impatience. He turned to the butler and said, "Throw her out. If she dares show up at the Gresham Villa again, call the police."
"But Mrs. Brenda Gresham, she..." The butler seemed hesitant.
"I will explain to Grandma myself," Travis said coldly.
Seeing his firm attitude, the butler did not dare say more and could only signal the two bodyguards nearby with his eyes.
Skylar was dragged out by the two bodyguards and thrown into the snow behind the Gresham Villa's back door.
The snow was still falling, and getting heavier.
Skylar wore only a thin hospital gown and shivered all over from the cold, but she could not care about that. She stumbled through the snow-filled streets.
She had to find her daughter before dawn, because she knew that, once Travis discovered she had escaped, the first thing he would do was deal with that "stain."

I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Invisible To Her Bully
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
