My Marriage Contract: A Daughter Clears My Debt
Daisy Swift · Ongoing · 7.4k Words
Introduction
I gave him a boy. Then another boy. The debt quadrupled.
When our third child finally arrived and the doctor announced she was a girl, Adrian-the coldest CEO in Lakebridge-cried over her bassinet. He zeroed out my accounts before my anesthesia even wore off.
I thought I had finally survived the game.
Then his childhood friend came to visit. She took one look at the sea of pink dresses taking over our house and scoffed, claiming a daughter could never inherit the Bennett empire.
Adrian was on the floor, detangling our daughter's hair.
Without breaking his focus, he said, "My daughter will own the empire. And if she wants three husbands to serve her, I’ll buy them houses."
That was when I realized two things.
First, nobody in Lakebridge understood how dangerous it was to insult Adrian Bennett's daughter.
Second, I still had absolutely no idea if he wanted her mother.
Chapter 1
I married Adrian Bennett to pay off my family's debt. The contract was simple enough to fit on one page and insane enough to ruin my life: give him a daughter, and every dollar I owed vanished. Give him a son, and the balance doubled.

...
The morning my daughter was born, I learned that freedom weighed exactly seven pounds, two ounces, and arrived screaming.
Before I owed Adrian money, the Hart family had been one of Lakebridge's old-money names. My grandfather built Hart Development. My father inherited it.
And I inherited a talent for shopping and an honest understanding of my limitations.
My father did not share that understanding.
At fifty, he decided steady real estate income was boring and poured almost all of the company's cash into a "revolutionary" luxury transit project. When that was not enough, he borrowed thirty million dollars from Bennett Group.
The project collapsed before the first public launch.
By the time I returned from a shopping trip, the bank had taken our house, the company had been pledged away, and movers were carrying out furniture that technically no longer belonged to us. I walked into my bedroom and found a man unscrewing the custom light fixtures.
Even the good marble vanished.
My father met me on the bare front steps looking older.
"Don't worry, sweetheart," he said, pulling me into his arms. "I'll build us back up."
Those words terrified me far more than losing the house.
Some people should never be left alone with ambition. My father was one of them. I was another, which was why I limited myself to ambitions I could understand: comfortable shoes, good hotels, and never checking a menu for prices.
Before Dad could discover another brilliant way to triple our losses, I went to Bennett Tower and asked Adrian for time to repay the thirty million.
He was thirty, severe, and already famous for turning struggling companies profitable without raising his voice. I had met him at charity events, but we had never had a real conversation.
His assistant led me into a glass office forty floors above Lakebridge. Adrian looked up from a report.
Then he looked at me for a long time.
"I'll assume the debt," I said, taking the chair across from him. "My father won't borrow another cent. I can make payments. They may be slow payments, but they will be sincere."
"Marry me," Adrian said.
I glanced behind me in case a more suitable woman had entered the room.
The office was empty.
"You want me to marry you?"
"Yes."
"Instead of repaying thirty million dollars?"
"There are conditions."
Naturally. Men did not cancel eight-figure debts because a woman had nice cheekbones. At least, that was what I believed then.
His attorney brought in a draft agreement. Most of it dealt with privacy, property, and the debt. One clause mattered more than the rest.
If our child was a daughter, my entire debt would be forgiven.
If our child was a son, the debt would double.
I read it twice.
"You know babies aren't custom orders, right?" I asked.
"I know."
"And you're willing to risk sixty million?"
"Are you?"
At the time, I thought the odds were fifty-fifty. I also thought thirty million dollars was already a hopeless amount, so sixty million was merely hopeless with better symmetry.
I signed.
And we married quietly three weeks later.
Adrian approached our baby-making schedule with the same focus he brought to corporate acquisitions. I will spare everyone the operational details. The important point is that I became pregnant, endured nine months of hope, and delivered a healthy baby boy.
Adrian loved him. He held our son carefully, checked every tiny finger, and stayed beside us all night.
But then the contract did what contracts do.
My debt became sixty million dollars.
"It's fine," I told myself. "The next pregnancy could be twin girls."
It was not.
One year later, our second son arrived. Adrian studied the birth record in silence while my balance climbed to one hundred twenty million.
I lay in the hospital bed, exhausted and deeply offended by mathematics.
"Maybe I should just repay you in installments," I suggested. "At this rate, childbirth is a terrible financial strategy."
Adrian's expression darkened. He opened the leather folder in his hand and placed a third family-planning schedule on my blanket.
During my third pregnancy, I saw omens everywhere. At one appointment, my doctor ate lunch from a blue container. I spent the entire exam wondering whether she was trying to warn me that I was carrying another boy.
When our daughter was born, Adrian cried, my balance returned to zero, and I finally breathed without calculating compound disaster.
For about five minutes.
Then a new thought arrived.
Our bargain was complete. Adrian had the daughter he had wanted badly enough to gamble millions. The problem was, we had never spoken of love. I still had no idea why he had chosen me to begin with.
I watched him holding our little girl with pure, unguarded devotion, and my sudden relief ran cold.
He had his children now. Did he still need me?
The debt was gone, but so was my usefulness.

The Devil’s Contract: Kiss Me Like A Lie
The air in the ballroom was suffocating, filled with the scent of expensive wine and predatory Alphas. I felt the familiar, terrifying burn start low in my stomach. My suppressants were failing. I am an Omega pretending to be a Beta, and my fiancé, Reign Montgomery, is a powerful Enigma who believes Omegas are nothing but weak whores.
I rushed to the restroom, locking myself in, praying the scent wouldn't leak. My hands shook as I dialed for help, but the door handle turned. Reign stood there. He didn't look at my face; he grabbed my wrist, pulling it to his nose, inhaling deeply. His dark, soulless eyes bore into mine. "You smell different," he whispered, his voice dangerously low. If he finds out what I really am, I’m dead.
Reign Montgomery promised himself he’d never get involved with an omega. Not romantically, not physically, not even by accident. He doesn’t trust them, doesn’t want them, and refuses to let anyone become a weakness.
Soren Fox has lived his whole life making sure no one ever learns what he truly is. An omega pretending to be a Beta, fighting in underground rings just to survive and keep his sister alive.
But one contract drags them into a dangerous partnership of lies, heat, and power, and when Soren is kidnapped, Reign realizes too late that the omega he never wanted has become the one person he can’t live without.

Real Heiress, Hidden Boss
On the engagement day, my fiancé slipped a ring on her finger. My parents handed me a train ticket to oblivion.
They celebrated their victory while I disappeared.
What they didn't realize was that letting me go was the worst mistake of their lives.
I am the surgical prodigy saving lives that science deems hopeless. I am the muse of the art world. I am the true heir to a dynasty they couldn't even dream of.
Now, I am back.
Not as the girl they abandoned, but as the storm they prayed would never come.
My ex-fiancé kneels in regret. My fake sister chokes on her jealousy. And the CEO who once looked through me? He is now crawling, desperate to taste the success he once threw away.
The joke isn't on me.
It's on them.
The first of her kind
And if I don’t unite the warring factions by my twenty-fifth birthday, the prophecy will kill me. I have exactly three months left to live.
Love was never option. Survival was the only plan.

Jay: The ruthless, lethal Vampire Heir who craves my blood, feeding the dark, feral hunger I never wanted to admit.
They are sworn enemies, born to tear each other apart. But fate has a twisted sense of humor—because they are both my fated mates.
If they find out what I truly am, they’ll destroy me. But as the bond tightens and my time runs out, I’m caught between the Alpha who wants to protect my soul, and the Vampire who wants to rule my darkness.
I was born to bring peace. But loving them might just start the bloodiest war history has ever seen.
Pregnant by My Husband's Rival Alpha
Those words should have destroyed me, but the truth was worse: I'd been used as a broodmare by the man who swore to love me, set up in a hotel room with a stranger because My husband Alexander Cross couldn't father children himself, and now I carried the secret babies of Damon Lester—the most powerful and dangerous Alpha in San Loris—while my own family replaced me with the daughter they'd always wanted. But when that same stranger's doctor appeared at my door, when twenty million dollars exchanged hands over a fake perfume bearing my secret identity, and when Damon's gray eyes locked onto mine with recognition I couldn't afford, I realized my carefully hidden life as the legendary perfumer Vera was colliding with a pregnancy that could cost me everything.
Could I protect my babies from the husband plotting my death, hide my true identity from the Alpha who's been hunting me for years, and reclaim the freedom I'd buried along with my dreams—even if it means standing alone against the wolves who see me as nothing more than a womb to be used and discarded?
The First Female Alpha
The man I was meant to marry—the rising Alpha, the pride of the Pack—thrusting into another girl like I didn't exist.
But I didn't cry. I didn't scream. I didn't even flinch.
Because the pain had carved me hollow long before he ever touched her.
He thinks I'm weak. That I'll stand by his side in two days, smile for the ceremony, and hand him my loyalty with the Alpha title.
But he's wrong.
I'm not the broken little Luna they think I am. I'm the storm they never saw coming.
The Pack worships him, but only I know the truth buried beneath his perfect lies. So I'll take everything he wants most—the throne, the title, the crown he was born to wear—and win it out from under him, in front of everyone who ever called me unworthy.
Screw the Pack. Screw the respect. Screw being tame.
I'm fury dressed in skin, madness wearing heels, and heartbreak turned into a goddamn weapon.
They wanted a loyal Luna??
Instead...
They created a monster.
And when the throne is finally mine...
The Pack won't remember the name of the Alpha who betrayed me.
They'll remember the woman who took his crown...
and became the First Female Alpha.
