“I, Alpha Ethan, reject you as my wife and banish you from the pack, Ashina!” Those were the words playing in her head when she left the pack and finally crossed the border with her maid.

Chapter 1
ASHINA POV
A lip-smacking sound was heard as my husband and I devoured each other's lips. He wasn't holding back, and neither was I holding back till I realized I had an important appointment before breaking the long, interesting kiss.
We stared at each other; I particularly stared at my man's life, a standing ovation. The joy and love on his face were an exception, and I couldn't believe the man was mine alone.
“I hope you're excited about your birthday, darling?” My chosen mate, Alpha Ethan said to me tenderly before hugging me while nuzzling on my back gently yet tenderly.
I rubbed his arm and smiled. He seemed to me more excited about my birthday than I was and I am going along with the flow because he seems happy.
How could I have the heart to be happy when I am childless in a whole four years of marriage? The moon goddess knows my heart's desire, which is to have a child.
Over four years that I and Alpha Ethan have chosen each other as mates, we have been trying helplessly to have a child but to no avail. All our efforts never yield. It wasn't until last year that it was confirmed that my husband is an impotent man with a low sperm count that could never yield a child.
I have questioned myself about time without numbers. I couldn't help but wonder if the moon goddess never heard my cries for a child. I wanted to have a child of my own which I believed anyone in marriage would desire.
Even though my husband is an infertile man, I still love and cherish him dearly, and I am a hundred percent sure he does the same.
I am Ashina Kylie, the daughter of the alpha of the moon pack. After waiting endlessly for my fated mate, who never came, I was forced to choose among the alphas who were in the same situation as I was. Luckily, I chose Alpha Ethan, my husband.
At first, I was worried that our marriage might never work out but during our four years of marriage, I have always been cherished and loved by the man. We've grown to love each other so tenderly that I never for once regretted marrying him. I was grateful to the moon goddess for that.
My 25th birthday is tomorrow; I got married at the age of 21, which has been nothing but the best history in my life. My marriage combined my father's PAC moon pac, and my husband's red pack, making my husband, Alpha Ethan, the leader of all of us.
Because of my marriage with Alpha Ethan, it was able to save our pack from the enemies who were trying to overshadow our territory. It was rumored that those enemies trying to invade our pack were a pack of mountain rogues. Fortunately, my marriage was able to have them at the bay for the main time. T They were nothing but monsters!
I shivered at the thought of that. I couldn't even imagine the big mess our pack would have been if I had rejected getting married.
“Are you cold, my love?” My husband asked in a soft yet tender voice of his; he kissed my exposed back before wrapping a blanket around my shoulder, and I couldn't help but flash a big smile at him.
“I believe I have the most perfect husband that anyone could wish for in their married life.” I thought inwardly as I smiled sweetly at him.
“I have a big surprise for you, but you will only see it tomorrow,” he whispered gently into my ears, which made me giggle.
“I believe you could have waited until tomorrow before saying it. I hate suspense, Ethan!” I muttered while staring at his face.
“I know,” he said, laughing along. A knock sounded so disrupting us that we had to wait for the fellow person to walk inside, and it was My husband Beta, his right-hand man.
I knew the man had an urgent message to relay to my husband, which made my expression turn sore as I did not want to leave him, but I remembered I had an important appointment that must be carried out secretly.
Bete Jude bowed at us before saying, “We have a visitor.” his eyes glinted. “You might want to meet the visitor.” He said to Alpha Ethan who nodded and replied shortly, “Give me some a minute.” Beta Jude bowed once again before walking out.
“I have to go now, darling.” My husband said, planting a kiss on my forehead, “ You can wait for me here, I'll be back soon.” Alpha Ethan said.
I nodded; I was reluctant to let go of his arms; I just wanted to be in those arms forever. But I had to let go of him. After all, he's not mine alone; he's the leader of the pack.
We exchanged waves before I went to stand at the window side looking out wistfully. Different thoughts kept sweeping in and out of my head. I just couldn't think straight.
There was another knock and my maid, Susan, came inside. “Luna,” she bowed respectfully. “Doctor Alex sends for you.”
My heart started thumping heavily. Maybe the tests are out? Could it be positive or negative? Different thoughts were going through my head at the moment. “Thank you. You can leave, Susan,” I said, dismissing her before I hurriedly put on my shoes and made my way out, making sure to follow the back route to the parking lot just to make sure I wasn't seen or noticed by anyone.
Over the past few weeks, I have been experiencing changes in my body to the extent that I would suddenly feel nausea. I could be eating and at the same time feel a little like vomiting which is very rare. At first, I thought it could be some change of weather, but it kept getting so much that I had to tell our family doctor, Dr Alex, to run some tests.
I had already informed Dr Alex not to inform my husband about my last meeting and this current one. The man had to arrange an appointment at a private lounge because I did not want my husband to be aware of what was going on as I was more confused by the whole thing.
Throughout the whole drive to the private lounge, I just couldn't help thinking about what the results could be. I parked carefully at the parking lot, making sure I had myself covered by the blanket my husband had used to cover me earlier.
Doctor Alex is a tall confident man who would always reassure his patients with a smile no matter how big the situation was. He smiled at me the moment I entered the private office. “That was fast, Luna.” He commented as he made a hand gesture for me to have my seat.
My heart was pounding heavily as I took my seat in front of the man. I just wanted him to hand me the result as fast as possible but it seems he wouldn't be doing that anytime soon. I clasped my hand between my head.
“Calm down, Luna.” he said to me with a bright smile, “According to the tests and the result In my hand, you're five months pregnant, Luna.” He said before beckoning the result at me which I couldn't bring myself to take as I was shaking vigorously.
“What. What? How am I pregnant when my husband has an extremely low sperm count?
“What the heck is going on?”
“Pregnant? How?”
The man was the one who diagnosed my husband to be impotent, and a week ago, we ran some tests again, which showed he had a low sperm count. If so, how the heck did I become pregnant?
“How is this possible, Dr Alex?” I asked again just to be sure that I hadn't misheard him.
“Either the tests are wrong or you've been sleeping around.” He uttered coldly, surprising the heck out of me. I wasn't expecting such vulgar words from him. Here he was, confidently saying it to my face.
The audacity of this man! How dare he say such words to me? I stood up, looking furious, but he raised his hand in surrender, but still, I wasn't calm yet.
“Calm down, Luna. I am only doing my job as I have run the test in seven different hospitals, but still, the results are all the same,” he said.
I went through the results in my hand, and I could see the option for pregnancy was tick, which means Dr Alex wasn't lying or playing pranks on me.
“I'm sure you're aware of every detail you ought to follow. Please try to avoid strenuous exercise and try to watch what you eat for the health of your child, Luna.” He said calmly.
I looked at my small tummy which doesn't seem to have formed anything or show signs of pregnancy. I rubbed it tenderly, unable to believe I truly had a living creature in my tummy after a whole four years of marriage.
“I'll take it as Alpha Ethan shouldn't know yet, right?” Doctor Alex asked which I instantly nodded. The man wasn't aware, which I can't wait to let him know, but I am sure of the whole scenario till I have all the desired answers to my curiosity.
“I'll take my leave now,” I said and walked out, heading towards my car parked in the parking lot.
My mind was occupied with different thoughts along the drive home, I kept on thinking till I got back home and headed upstairs straight. I walked into the large foyer and was directed by a guard to my husband's study.
Since I was told the man was in his study, I decided to go inside and satisfy my gaze. After all, that wasn't a new thing to us at all. Countless times, I would hide and hang around wherever he was busy just to satisfy my thirst for him.
In the study room, My husband sat on the couch with his Beta and the strange yet familiar visitor seated beside him. Strangely, the visitor seemed familiar just at one glance but I am trying to believe it is not who I thought it was.
“Ashina,” A tall, slender, hot lady stood up and rushed to me. I recognized the voice instantly.
“Oh, I have missed you so much, sis!” I could hear the sarcasm in those words.
Me and my sister, Annabelle never got along, so it took me by surprise to see her in front of me. She left the pack the moment I married my husband, Alpha Ethan. But now seeing her again, I believe she has something under her sleeve.
“Why are you here, sister?” I asked.
“Ooh, I remembered tomorrow is your birthday,” She said, flipping back her long silky hair before walking back to the couch majestically, “Or am I not welcome here?”
“Of course not, sister. This is your home and you're welcome.” I said and wasn't surprised by the fact that Annabelle was trying to change my words. She has the habit of twisting words against someone and I hated that about her.
“This is your pack as well as mine. You're free to stay here, sister.” I muttered nonchalantly, I wasn't affected by her at all.
“Well, good. I bought this along with me!” She said as she gestured to the luggage on the floor. I couldn't believe she brought that kind of luggage. “Is she planning on overstaying?” I wondered but I couldn't say anything.
I looked at my husband, Alpha Ethan; he had a strained look, which was unlike me. It was as if he was afraid of something. A vein throbbed in his temple. Even the always well-composed Beta Jude looked uncomfortable. What the heck is going on? Could it be because of my arrival that made me uncomfortable?
“Ashina,” My husband finally called my name; he looked as if he was under a strong spell as he ca
led my name after an awkward silence from him, “ Your sister, Annabelle, is my fated mate,” he said, dropping the bombshell.
