Rejected Me? I Married the Alpha King!
Violet Storm · Ongoing · 199.1k Words
Introduction
As the scentless daughter of the Whitlock Pack Alpha, she had spent her life feeling like a flaw. Then Drexel Pace, the Bloodmoon heir, claimed her. His possessiveness felt like devotion. His jealousy felt like safety. She endured his control because she believed he would never let her go.
She was wrong.
Drexel betrayed her with her stepsister, Mabel. When Wendy caught them together, he did not apologize. He stood between them and coldly declared, “An Alpha heir cannot make a defective wolf his Luna.” Her place, he said, was beneath Mabel—as his servant, his mistress, and a Luna who would have to kneel for scraps of recognition.
Wendy refused.
She refused to beg. Refused to accept the life he offered. Even when Drexel struck her. Even when her own father condemned her before the pack. Even when Mabel dragged her into the killing forest and left her for the beasts.
Bleeding and abandoned, Wendy renounced the Whitlock Pack and disappeared.
For three years, she built a quiet life no one could destroy. Then Drexel found her.
Come home—or I will come for you.
With no pack to protect her, Wendy has only one shield left: a marriage contract with the mysterious man who became her mate after a single date.
Cassian Vey is calm, wealthy, and terrifyingly powerful. He offers her a legal bond, a safe home, and freedom from the man who discarded her. Either party may leave without penalty.
But Cassian is not merely a consultant.
He is the strongest Alpha in the region—the ruler powerful packs fear to challenge. And now he has bought Wendy’s company, claimed her as his wife, and stepped into her life with secrets hidden behind icy blue eyes.
Drexel threw Wendy away when she was powerless.
Cassian will burn entire worlds before he lets anyone take her from him.
Chapter 1
Wendy's POV
"This is the ninety-ninth one," Nell Pearce said, setting a paper cup of coffee in front of me. "If this one disappoints you too, I'm picking your next husband myself."
"You said that about number ninety-eight."
"Number ninety-eight tried to explain your own job to you."
"He was passionate about spreadsheets."
"He was passionate about hearing himself talk." She dropped into the chair across from me. "You're planning an escape route again."
"I always plan an escape route." It was the truest thing I'd said all day.
The restaurant was small and warm—exposed brick, low gold light, humans and wolves sharing tables without anyone announcing which was which. That was why I'd stayed in this district for three years. Here nobody cared that I was the daughter of the Whitlock Pack Alpha, or that I carried no scent at all. Here I was only Wendy Vance—a sales assistant with a rented apartment, a secondhand car, and a best friend who refused to let me give up on the idea of a family.
Three years ago I'd believed love was supposed to feel like safety. Then Drexel Pace chose Mabel, and the story reached every nearby pack before I'd even crossed the territory line—that I was too cold, that I'd driven him away, that I should have been grateful he'd wanted me at all.
I'd believed my father would protect me. I'd believed someone would come looking when I disappeared. No one did. So I ran until the human district swallowed me whole, and I built a life small enough that no one could take it from me again.
"This is the last one," I told her.
The door swung inward, and the room rearranged itself around the man who walked through it.
Tall, broad through the shoulders, a black coat that fit like it had been cut in silence. Dark hair, a sharply carved face, eyes an unsettling shade of ice blue. He didn't move like an ordinary wolf—there was too much control in it, too much power held deliberately still. Conversations lowered. Heads turned. I had spent years learning to recognize danger before it reached me, and every instinct told me this man was dangerous.
Then his scent reached me. Black cedar. Cold smoke. Rain-soaked stone. Wraith slammed against my ribs so hard my fingers whitened around the cup.
Mate.
The word struck through me again and again, and I could barely hear Nell whisper my name.
He crossed the room and stopped beside our table. For one impossible second I thought he might recognize me—and then he didn't, because no one ever could. A scentless wolf.
He offered a polite nod. "Miss Vance?"
"Yes."
"Cassian Vey." He said it as though I ought to know the name. I'd made a habit of avoiding pack news and business headlines and everything tied to the life I'd fled, so I only moved my chair to make room.
Nell was already on her feet, chair scraping. "I just remembered I have somewhere to be." She leaned in and breathed, "Don't panic, he's gorgeous," then smiled at him. "I'm Nell. Be nice to her."
His brow lifted a fraction. "I intended to."
He sat, stripped off his gloves, set them beside his plate. A faint scar crossed the back of his right hand; he caught me looking and didn't hide it. "Have we met before?" he asked. "You seem familiar."
"I have one of those faces." The answer came too fast, and his eyes stayed on mine a beat too long before he let it go.
"Tell him." Wraith paced inside me. "He is ours."
"He can't smell us," I told her, and she growled.
When the waiter came, Cassian ordered steak and black coffee; I ordered pasta because it was the safest thing on the menu and because my hands were still unsteady under the table.
He didn't ask about my family, or why a woman with my posture was filing sales reports in a human district, or offer pity when I said I had no relatives nearby. He asked harder things. "What do you want from a marriage?"
I looked up—men on first dates asked about vacations, not this. "A quiet home," I said slowly. "Honest bills. Separate closets. I don't like people touching my things without asking."
He nodded as if it were the most reasonable list in the world, so I said the rest before I could stop myself. "And someone who doesn't make me beg to stay."
Something moved beneath his calm—a tightening at the eyes, a shadow passing. "Has someone made you beg?"
"Someone tried."
The date lasted an hour and forty minutes. He didn't flirt, didn't touch me, didn't make a single promise he couldn't keep. Outside, in the cold, he asked for my number and texted me at once so I'd have his—Cassian Vey, nothing else.
No heart, no compliment, no demand to know when he'd see me again. It should have made him easy to forget. It didn't. For two days Wraith wouldn't settle, whispering the same word through spreadsheets and coffee lines and twice in the dark: Mate.
I told myself it didn't matter. Fate had never once protected me. So I did what I always did when my heart wanted something dangerous—I ignored it.
On the second evening my phone rang while I was folding laundry. I let it nearly ring out before I answered.
"Are you free next Wednesday?"
"Why?"
A short silence. Then, with the same calm certainty he'd used to give me his name: "I want to get married."
My hand went still over the shirts. "Excuse me?"
"I've thought about it. We're compatible. I respect you. I want a stable life, and I believe you want the same."
"We've met once."
"I know it's fast."
"This isn't fast, Cassian. This is insane."
"Possibly." Almost amusement, there and gone.
I pressed my fingers to my forehead. "Why me?" The question left me before I could catch it.
He didn't answer right away. In the silence I could hear his breath, slow and steady, and I had the strangest sense that he'd been waiting for this question much longer than two days. When he finally spoke, all the lightness had drained from his voice.
"Because you said you wanted a quiet home," he said, "and I believe I can make one for you."
My throat closed.
"I'm not asking you to fall in love with me," he said.
"Then what are you asking for?"
He didn't answer that either. "You don't have to answer tonight," he said, and ended the call.
I sat on the edge of the bed among the clean laundry and the smell of detergent, and for one whole minute I let myself want what he'd offered. Then I put the feeling under a rock, where it couldn't get me killed.
He didn't know my history. And history was the only thing I owned.

If they believe she will bow, they will bleed.

The Mafia King's Unknown Doctor Wife
Letters to a Dark Prince
Thrown into Isteros Academy—a world of old money, blood money, and cruel social games—she's an outsider by birth and an afterthought by design. Her sister Solyn is the school's untouchable queen and Mara is her favorite target.
Everyone expects Atreus to treat his fiancée’s scholarship sister like everyone else does—as if she doesn’t matter.
Instead, his dorm room sits directly across from hers, close enough that she can see his light go out at night. Some nights, he climbs the old maintenance trellis just to check on her. He teaches her chess. He shows up exactly when something's gone wrong—and never once asks to be thanked for it.
"Don't fall in love with one piece," he warns her, over a board neither of them treats like a game anymore. "It punishes the person who only sees half of it."
Mara doesn't understand why the boy who's supposed to make her life harder keeps quietly making it easier—not until she realizes the anonymous stranger she's been writing to every week already has a name.
His.
He doesn't know he's writing to her, either.
By the time they find out, it's too late to stop what's already happening. Far too dangerous for anyone to find out.
In an empty studio, in the middle of a rainstorm, she asks him: 'Am I the kind of girl who kisses a boy engaged to my sister?'
He doesn't answer.
So she asks: 'What are we?’
He told her not to fall in love with one piece.
She fell anyway.
And he was never far behind.
Taste of Fate: The Vampire King's Human Mate
He reached for the back of my head and pulled me up just enough to reach my neck. When his fangs slid into me, the pain was instant, electric. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t think. My hands found his shoulders, clawing for something to hold. My legs kicked. Tears streamed down my cheeks.
He moaned against my throat as he drank, and the sound was devastating.
MOONLIT CHASE
But no, I had to walk through the park at midnight like an idiot. Now I've seen something I can't unsee—a massive black wolf tearing apart three men, then shifting into the hottest guy I've ever laid eyes on.
Kieran Vaughn. Wealthy lawyer, werewolf, and apparently, he thinks I'm his mate.
Here's the problem: I don't do relationships. I definitely don't do supernatural things. I absolutely don't do rich guys who think they can control my life just because their inner wolf has decided I smell like home.
When hunters start targeting me to get to him, Kieran drags me into his pristine penthouse for "protection." Now I'm living with a man who looks at me like I'm his last meal, whose touch sets my skin on fire, and who's barely holding onto his control.
He says everyone he loves dies. I say that's not my problem except it is because I'm falling for this broken, dangerous man and his beast.
And in his world? Love will get you killed.
Tango 2 the Alpha's Heart
My gaze snapped to his. He was smiling, causing my heart to skip a painful beat. Before I could respond, the music began, and my body instinctively reacted to the sweet melody.
I found myself molded to Lex's will, my feet irresistibly following the dance steps.
The crowd gasped as Lex pulled me into a more intimate position, his hands roaming over my body in a seductive manner.
The experience was both terrifying and magical, allowing me to feel every longing emotion through the dance.
I soon found myself lost in his arms.
When the music finally stopped, my arms were wrapped around his neck, his hands resting on my back, our noses almost touching. He gazed deeply into my eyes.
The ballroom fell silent.
Was he about to kiss me?

My Husband's Secretary Wore My Dress
Those words shattered Vivian's heart.
For three years, she endured her husband's coldness and his secretary's endless provocations.
She never knew that the woman he trusted most had stolen her identity.
Or that the man she loved had secretly loved her all along.
When the truth finally came out, it was already too late.
Vivian had divorced him.
She had disappeared with his unborn child.
And she had no intention of coming back.
Five years later, the former ballerina returned as the sole heiress of a powerful family.
Standing beside her was a little girl with eyes identical to Caden Lux's.
The billionaire who once ignored her had gone mad.
He blocked her in the dressing room, knelt before her, and even accepted the possibility that another man had taken his place.
Because losing his pride was nothing.
Losing Vivian had nearly killed him.
But after everything he had done…
Could she ever forgive the man who chose another woman over his own wife?
The Lycan Kings and the White Wolf.
Love's Deadly Equation
I was sent to her.
To watch her. To protect her. And, when the order comes… to kill her.
My name is Keegan Caffery. I’m the Carter Mafia’s best hitman. I don’t miss. I don’t fail.
At least, I didn’t use to.
I don’t know what it is about her that got to me first—her mouth, her mind, or the way she looks at me like I’m not what she should fear.
I’ve had a gun to her head since I walked into her life.
She knows it.
And she still doesn’t run.
She just watches me back like she’s studying a problem she refuses to call impossible.
She’s the one variable I can’t control.
And God help me… I don’t want to.
I have an order. I have loyalty. I have a trigger.
But every time I imagine it—
I can’t stand it.
Her or me. That’s the math.
It’s a deadly equation I don’t want to solve.
⬥ Maisie ⬥
I’m not ordinary. I stopped pretending long ago.
My name is Maisie Seo. IQ 145. Clinical genius.
Which sounds impressive until you realize what it actually means: I don’t fit anywhere people expect me to.
I see patterns everywhere. Outcomes before they happen. People like equations I’ve already solved.
It gets lonely in a world you’ve already figured out.
So I dull myself down. Smoke the edges off. Pretend, badly, to be the kind of normal that lets people stay.
Then he walked in.
I knew what he was immediately. Dangerous. Intentional. Wrong in all the right ways.
I should be afraid of him.
I keep waiting for that to kick in.
Instead, I’m fascinated.
Because for the first time in my life… I’ve found something I can’t solve.
He is my deadly equation.
