Chapter 1
Angel
I had woken up an hour ago yet I was still sitting in my bed of my new apartment. My bed hair a mess, giving me the appearance that gave off I just finished having sex the night before kind of vibe. But that wasn't the case. I just had the best sleep I could have ever asked for. Finally I was alone and no longer under the roof of my parents, and at the age of 19. I put my hands together before my face and looked up at my cealing, "Thank you lord for whoever and whatever you may be!" I smiled the biggest smile I could muster, then I got myself out of bed and slipped on my pink bunny slippers.
Picking up my phone I walked into my bedroom bathroom. Yes my bedroom has it's own bathroom It's the best part about my aprtment really. The downside though is my apartment looks as if it was made for a person who's at least 5'5 or taller. My short ass who is only 5'1 can hardly reach the top cabinets without a chair or stool. Im short and thick in every way. I'm chubby, and not all that confident like the thin girls I see around often or any of the other big girls. It just doesn't come to me naturally. I set my phone down next to the sink, and as Im pulling my thick, messy hair into a muffin top bun I get a text from a work friend.
Kyle- sup babycakes, how'd you sleep in ur grand new apartment? I bet u slept like a baby huh?
I giggled at my phone as I picked it up and read Kyles' message. He was truly the type to sweet talk any woman he thought beautiful. A flirt and a playful guy was the best way for me to define him. He knows im a lesbian and that his little advances wouldn't work on me so he does it as a joke. It's just the way we communicate these days after becoming close friends.
Angel-Hey princess, I see you must have been thinking about me in ur dreams again huh, texting me when u first wake up. Lol I slept great, if you'd seen me when I first woke up you'd have thought I'd just woken up from a one night stand or something lmao!
Kyle- Lmao! shit, we can have a first night stand if you want baby I'll bring the wine. Anywho, I hope you are coming into work today? I need my trusty side kick and work buddy with me.
I laughed at my phone then placed It back down next to the sink before pulling my large baby blue shirt over my head. I was wearing nothing underneath, usually I'd sleep nude, but it felt like a shirt night. An hour later, I was finally done showering and brushing my teeth. All that was left for me to do was fix up my hair a bit and find a lazy outfit for the mean time until it was time for me to go to work. I work night shifts only unless it calls for me to be at work during the day. "Hmm, It's only 11:00 so I still have time for bacon and eggs. Maybe I will have breakfast." I said aloud as if there were someone for me to talk to.
After I threw on a pair of grey sweats and a black fitted cropped top I ran into my kitchen and began dancing to my music. Love me harder by Arianna Grande was playing. And boy do I love me some Arianna Grande. As I danced and pranced around my fairly large apartment kitchen, I was taking out the needed utensils to make my morning breakfast. I grabbed my pan, and placed it onto the oven top, then I went into my fridge swaying my hips side to side matching the rhythm of the song and grabbed my butter and a few eggs. Not long after putting those down, I reached into my freezer and got my pack of bacon and placed it onto the counter next to my eggs. After I got the rest of what I needed I began to cook away.
Then a song from one of my childhood favorite movie franchises came on; Everybody wants to rule the world. I couldn't hold it in and began singing my heart out as if it were truly I performing a concert to this song. I was the main character in that moment as I cooked my breakfast. A few minutes later I was finally done cooking, and fortunately for me I had made enough for two. "breakfast for after work dinner it is." I nodded as I fixed myself a plate and went over to my island table and sat in a stool. I ate away.
It was finally almost time for me to go to work. It was now 7 And I needed to be at work at 8. I was sitting in my apartment all day with not much to do since there were no needed errands for me to run. I skipped into my room, and got dressed into my work attire which only took me give or take 15-20 minutes. Then I grabbed my keys and left my apartment locking the door behind me. "Another day another 9 hours of work," I sighed, going down the steps of my apartment complex, I had made it to my car. Soon enough I was pulling into the parking lot at 7:45 of the resturaunt I worked at.
I was early, but at least im not late. As I was getting out of my car I spotted Kyle just heading in himself. Quickly I made my way inside, But as I was about to go for the door knob, my hand landed on anothers. Their skin pale with a hint of brown and their skin was warm to the touch. I felt my cheeks begin to burn with compressed heat as I retracted my hand from over this strangers. "My deepest apologies ma'am, I didn't see you there," the voice that spoke behind me had a hint of feminine to it, but it also was huskie and slightly deep. There was also a mixed accent, partly latina and partly russian. I don't know why, but it was so attractive. Maybe it was just the attraction to accents in me or it was really the hottest accent I've ever heard.
"No, it's ok. I should have been paying more attention~" My words trailed as I turned around and was met with the most attractive woman I've seen yet. My heart began to race almost feeling as if it would jump out of my chest at any moment. The mysterious woman wore all black. Their button down was partially unbuttoned and was tucked into casual mens slacks, they also wore mens penny loafers. I hadn't realized it myself, but the woman before me caught my eyes trailing down their masculine body which made them smirk a little. I felt their hand grasp my chin gently and tilt my head up just a bit so my eyes would meet back with theirs.
Oh their eyes, they were green and hooded just how I imagined my imaginary girlfriends eyes, yes I said Imaginary girlfriend. A girl needs a partner to get off even if it's imaginary, it works trust me. I cleared My throat and pulled my chin from their gentle grasp before stepping to the side. That's when I noticed the two large men behind them, their arms folded under their chest's as they watched the interaction between myself and the woman. "You may go first," was all I could muster out as I kept my head low to the ground, hiding the blush that crept its way onto my cheeks after the womans short and small gesture. "Ladies first," the larger woman pulled open the door with ease, and waited for me to go in. As if it were a command that i felt the need to obey, I walked inside without looking back. Hurridly I made my way into the kitchen.
I leaned against one of the counters within the kitchen and let out the heaviest of relief sighs. Gripping my shirt tightly as I tried to calm my racing heart. That's when Kyle came over to me with concern in his voice. "Babycakes are you alright? What happened?" he urged, gently taking hold of my shoulders and trying to get a good look at me to make sure I weren't hurt. "I'm fine," I giggled out before taking one last deep breath and standing up straight. I couldn't hold in my laughter, I felt so silly for getting so flustered over the smallest and meaningless of interactions. "I just ugh, I just had the weirdest interaction with the hottest woman I've ever seen in my life Kyle."
Kyle chimed in with his own laughter. Kyle wasn't small in the slightest, his hands were large and he was well over 6 foot. His voice was deep and raspy in its own luxury, his body was toned and masculine indicating he worked out often and he even had tattoos. What straight woman wouldn't want to be in his bed every night. He has many groupies who come here often just to flirt with him. "Let me guess, It wouldn't be the tall NBA player looking woman who walked in right behind you with two men larger than herself walk in behind her, could it?" I nodded quickly, then dragged my hands over my face.
"I want to go home. I don't want to go out there after that interaction."
"Oh you're going out there cupcake."
Kyle grinned a mischievious grin before taking my hand and dragging me behind him. We walked all the way over to booth 8 where the woman had been seated by one of the other waitresses. "Hello, Ms. Angel here will be your waitress for the night. Don't be afraid to work her to the bone. Trust me she can handel it." Kyle nudged me up further as he walked backwards and gave me a quick wink before leaving me before this woman. They sat in the middle between the two large hulk like men. Their eyes were solely trained on me, they hadn't smiled or anything. "So, what can I get you for drinks?" I put on the best smile I could as nervous as I was.
Pulling out my note pad I used daily to take orders along with my pen I kept glancing back and forth between it and the woman who just stared at me. "If I order something, Will you sit with me for a bit?" I heard them ask in that sexy raspy like voice, and without asking or even a second thought I nodded. "Sure, I can do that." After taking their orders, I gave them one last smile before leaving for the kitchen. It was only a few minutes before I was back at table 8 Sitting next to the woman after bringing back their orders. They hadn't ordered much really, Just a sandwich for the woman to go and three cups of water.
"Um, So was there something you needed from me?" I was so nervous that I couldn't even look at the woman next to me. They towered over me so easily, even while just sitting. "I was told that a girl, brown skin and thick, with afro like hair who owns the name Angel was usually the waitress for the crime bosses that come for a meeting once a month. That wouldn't be you would it, Ms. Angel." I could feel their trained gaze on me, and it was only theirs. The two who I assumed were body guards for this woman kept looking around and rarely sipping at their cups of water. I nodded, grasping at the hem of my skirt.
