Introduction
Chapter 1
Charlotte Jenkins is a very hard working woman in her mid twenties. Her father Dave Jenkins was a very rich man but he was gambler. He gambled away his money and companies that's how the Jenkins became poor.
Charlotte is wearing a blue T-shirt,brown shorts and tattered slippers. She was at her workplace serving her best customer Mr Brandy when she received a call from Daphne, her sister's friend. After dropping the call, she walked up to her boss and asked for permission to leave immediately. She ran home and dashed into their apartment. The room is very scattered and dirty. The tiles on the floor were all broken.
"Mom what happened to Phoebe"Charlotte asked while trying to catch her breath.
Her mom Sophia Jenkins who was pacing round the small room holding her phone got startled when Charlotte dashed in and asked a question.
"Let's just go to the hospital.
"Daphne said she was rushed to St Matthew hospital."Sophia said while sobbing.
"What? St Matthew is very expensive. We don't have the money to pay."Charlotte yelled tugging at her hair.
"Let's just go." Sophie replied while walking out of the room with Charlotte.
"Mom we have to walk. I don't have enough money with me here."Charlotte said tilting her head and pressing her lips together.
After walking for thirty minutes they got to the hospital. Charlotte and her Mom Sophie rushed to the reception.
"Good morning. I heard a girl has been admitted here. Her name is Phoebe Jenkins." Charlotte said with darting eyes.
"Yes. She was admitted like an hour ago. She is in ward 250.Just go straight then turn left."The nurse answered.
Charlotte and her Mom jogged to Phoebe's room. They saw Daphne standing in front of Phoebe's room pacing around breathing heavily.
"Hi ma'am." Daphne greeted Mrs Jenkins but she didn't answer. She rushed into the ward.
"You need to go out now ma'am. You are not allowed to come in now." The nurse told
Mrs Jenkins.
"Please let me see my daughter." She said letting out a loud cry.
"Please leave ma'am so the doctor can work on her."The nurse told her again politely. Mrs Jenkins gave up and left the room. She hugged Charlotte.
"Nothing must happen to my Phoebe. Nothing must happen." Mrs Jenkins said crying. "Nothing will happen mom." Charlotte said as she sobbed.
She patted her Mom and asked her to sit. After twenty minutes the doctor came out.
"How is she? Is she fine now? Will she be okay? Mrs Jenkins bombarded the doctor with questions.
"Well she is fine for now but she would need to be operated on because we just detected that she has heart disease and she needs the surgery now.
"What? "Charlotte eyes grew wild.
"Where are we going to get that from?"Mrs Jenkins asked while sobbing "I'll go get dad."Charlotte said and rushed out of the hospital.
Charlotte walked straight to a bar. The bar was Co owned by the Winchesters. It was a small bar but it could contain about fifty people. The bar was the only bar in Darwin. The bar was mainly known as the poor people home because of how cheap the beer costs there and how they get lots of customers. The bar was also Mr Jenkins second home.
Mr Jenkins is seated by the counter drinking beer and laughing with the waitress when he spotted his daughter.
"Speak of the devil and she appears." Mr Jenkins told the waitress while he lifted his beer and they both laughed.
Charlotte walked up to him while cleaning her face with her shirt. "Dad I need to talk to you." Charlotte frowned at her father.
"As you can see I am having so much fun here. "Mr Jenkins replied, then drank from his beer.
"Dad phoebe is in the hospital. She has a heart disease and you are here drinking beer
and having a chit chat with this slut." Charlotte said pursing her lips. "Hey..."The woman by the counter exclaimed but was cut off by Mr Jenkins.
"How is that my problem uhh, just leave me alone." Mr Jenkins said while laughing. Charlotte sobbed and dashed out of the bar. She kept walking to God knows where.
Tyler Dalton the only heir to Dalton group of company a very hardworking, manipulative, wayward and disrespectful man. He is also a bachelor. He is every woman's ideal type in New York but nobody knows he is a monster in sheep's clothing. He even topped the most handsome face in the world last year beating some musicians and actors.
Tyler is seated in his office reading a contract.
"Mr Morgan, you can't deceive me with this. He said smiling and crossing his arms.
"I have been in this business since I was a kid and this kind of trick doesn't work anymore. Your contract is terminated." Tyler said smiling enjoying the moment.
Mr Morgan unable to move.
"Didn't you hear me Mr Morgan."Tyler said putting his legs on his table crossing it. "Please leave my office before I call the security." He said again.
Mr Morgan left disappointed.
Two minutes later Mr Dalton, his father walked into his office.
"Hey dad."He greeted his father with his legs still crossed on the table. "Tyler, how about what we discussed last week? He asked his son.
Tyler took his legs off the table looking serious.
"Dad I have told you several times without number that I am not interested. I don't want a woman in my life yet."He told his dad leaning forward to rest his elbow on his desk.
"Tyler I am growing old. I need to see my grandkids."Mr Dalton said with more desperation.
"Dad we are not talking about this anymore. Case closed. "Tyler said standing up leaving his office.
"This kid."Tyler's father said standing up too.
Tyler's father car parked right in front of the Winchesters bar. A Man in black suit alighted and opened the door for him. He came down and walked in with confidence.
"What kind of bar is this?" He asked himself.
He walked in and sat by the counter. The waitress walked up to him. He ordered a bottle of Whiskey. The lady gave him a bottle and a tumbler. He started drinking thinking about his son. After his sixth shot,he spotted someone.
"No it can't be."He said to himself. "This is not possible. He stood up and walked up to the man.
"Oh no Dave. Dave Jenkins."Mr Dalton moved closer to Mr Jenkins in disbelief.
"Who are you?"Mr Jenkins asked narrowing his eyes trying to figure out who he was talking to.
"Don't you remember me? It's me Zane. Zane Dalton."Mr Zane said hoping to convince the half drunk man.
"Dalton Dalton Dalton."Dave sluttered.
"I don't know you so buzz off please."Dave said talking a gulp from his bottle of beer.
"Try to remember. We went to school together bro. I always kicked your butt." Zane tried again trying to convince Dave.
"Oh no."Dave said standing up. "Dalton. Zane Dalton."He said and pulled him closer for a hug.
They both sat down reliving old days and school life.
"Remember when we both liked Sandy Cruz. That little chick in high school."Dave said smiling.
"Yes man. That chick was hot."Zane answered.
"Man,we both did so many crazy things in school. Are you still with Mary or "Dave
asked giggling.
"Nah man that's a story for another day."Zane answered with a sad expression on his face.
"Well I'm blessed with a son."Zane announced.
"I also have two pretty daughters."Dave replied feeling proud.
"Really. We could actually fix something between one of your daughters and my son."Zane said laughing while pulling Dave for a hug again.
"I have to go now."Zane Dalton announced.
He pulled out his business card from his chest pocket and gave it to Dave.
"Here is my card. please give me a call. I'll like to see your daughters."Zane Dalton said and they both shook hands.

My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
