The Alpha Who Forgot Me
Agatha Christie · Completed · 8.3k Words
Introduction
Alpha Killian Cross forgot our five-year bond after a rogue attack. Sandra, the Omega who saved him, became his new obsession. I fought to restore his memories—and succeeded.
But the day he remembered me was the day Sandra killed herself. Killian blamed me for her death and chose to hate me instead.
When rogues attacked our pack, he died taking a hit meant for me. His last words? "I wish you'd never made me remember. I wish you'd let me love her."
Now I'm back—reborn to the day I first found him with Sandra. This time, I won't fight for his memories. This time, I'll let him keep his happiness with her.
Even if it kills me all over again.

Eva's POV
"Eva, just cut the damn bond already. I'm sick of waiting around for your pathetic dramatics."
Killian's voice cut through the packed hall of the Blackrock Pack like a knife. Those amber eyes—the same ones that used to look at me like I hung the moon—now showed nothing but cold irritation.
I'm Eva Thompson, Delta warrior of this pack for five years. I've fought next to this man, bled with him, built this territory from dirt. We were supposed to be mates for life.
Six months ago, everything went to shit. Killian took a hit from rogues defending our borders and lost his memory. When he woke up, Sandra Martinez—the sweet little Omega who nursed him back to health—had his heart completely wrapped around her finger.
"Well?" His impatience cracked across the silent room. "The whole pack's here, Eva. Sandra and I got an announcement, but we can't move forward with this mess hanging over us."
Mess. Five years of love reduced to that.
Sandra pressed closer to his side on the platform. "Killian, maybe we should give her more time—"
"No." His arm tightened around her. "She's had months to face reality. I won't keep you waiting any longer, sweetheart."
"Eva!" Maya's urgent voice crashed into my head through our pack link. "I found it! The Memory Restoration Root! We can bring him back!"
In my past life, those words would've been my lifeline. This time, they meant nothing.
"No," I shot back.
"What? Eva, this could fix everything—"
"I said no, Maya."
I cut the link and stared at the man who used to be mine. The scar on his temple from the attack that stole everything. The powerful build that once made me feel invincible at his side.
"You really don't remember us fighting together?" I asked. "Five years of battles? Five years of building this pack from twelve wolves to over two hundred?"
His jaw clenched. "There is no 'us,' Eva. Whatever we had—it's over. I can't even stand your scent anymore. That cedar and rain smell makes me physically sick."
Whispers rippled through the crowd. Pack members who'd watched us lead them for years looked stunned.
"The only woman I want, the only one I could ever love, is Sandra," he continued, his voice getting crueler. "So stop embarrassing yourself with these desperate attempts to win me back."
In my previous life, I would've been on my knees begging by now. I'd spent months trying to make him remember, fighting for scraps of his attention.
This time, I knew better.
"Fine," I said clearly. "Then let's end this."
The hall went dead silent. Even Sandra stopped her theatrical clinging.
Killian blinked. "You... what?"
"Alpha Killian Cross, I, Eva Thompson, formally request the complete severing of our mate bond."
Gasps erupted. Someone whispered, "She's actually doing it."
"No more pathetic attempts to 'remind me of our love'?" he sneered. "No more showing up everywhere Sandra and I go? You're really gonna stop making a fool of yourself?"
"Dead serious," I replied. "You want Sandra as your Luna? Claim her. But first, we break this bond completely."
Something flickered in his eyes, but Sandra's hand pressed against his chest and it vanished.
"Finally," he growled, his Alpha power choking the room. "I, Killian Cross, Alpha of the Blackrock Pack, accept the severing of our mate bond."
Pain exploded through my chest. The bond snapped like a breaking rope. My wolf howled as the connection that had defined five years of my life just died.
Killian staggered too, his wolf feeling the break. But Sandra was there instantly.
"It's okay, my love," she whispered loudly. "We're free now. We can finally be together completely."
His arms came around her. "Yes. Finally."
Their joy against my devastation. Just like that night five years ago when he'd held me the same way after our first hunt as mates, promising me forever under the full moon.
"Remember?" he had whispered in my ear back then, "No matter how many centuries pass, I'll only ever love you."
I smiled bitterly and headed for the door.
"Eva, wait."
I didn't turn around.
"I'll find you someone else. A good match from a neighboring pack. It's... it's the least I can do."
The least he could do. After five years of partnership. After building this pack together from nothing.
"Don't bother, Killian," I said without looking back. "I won't be needing a new mate."
After all, the dead don't need mates.

I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
