Introduction
And for a minute, the sheer joy washed through me. It was....perfect.
"Akira, baby please....I did not mean to. You love me don't you? I'm your husband. You should always love me. Right?"
I smiled, sadistic.
Maybe if it was a few months earlier, the answer I would have had to all his questions would be yes. I used to love this man.
But now, I was out for just one thing, his life.
~
Akira's freedom and future were given away the moment she signed the marriage documents with Leon. Her marriage with the most prominent billionaire in New York turned out to be a nightmare in disguise.
And after being betrayed by his husband and his assistant, she wants just one thing.
Revenge.
Secrets after secrets are revealed and Akira finds out that she couldn't trust anyone who was by her side. What would Akira do when she finds out that she is the key to a hidden treasure? One that could destroy all her enemies at one go and also attract enemies from all sides?
Chapter 1
~AKIRA~
Who should be blamed for my pain?
I, who had sold myself to Leon after he offered me a silver lining to help me save my late father’s company and also put my ill mother in a good hospital? Or should I blame Leon, my husband who had cheated on me even after I had given him my all?
My heart hurts so much…
“Leon… But—Why?” I muttered as confusion flashed through my eyes.
I had been the perfect wife for him, I endured his emotional and physical abuse and still put up a blissful smile with him whenever we went to events or in the presence of the media.
“How naive, Akira…How silly you are!” I muttered, then burst out in laughter.
The laughter wasn’t anything joyful, but it was filled with self-mockery, pain and self-anger.
" I asked you a question...why?!"
" Don't you get it? All I ever wanted from you was your company! Nothing more. Once I get your company to be fully under my name, I don't care what happens to you, you can die for all I care. But until then, even if you want to breath, you have to take permission from me. "
My breathe caught. Of course. My company, the multi million dollar company that got turned to him the minute we got married. I was so blind.
My legs shook, but I got up. I did not head to the door like he had expected me to. Instead I stood in front of me, lower lips quivering, and I slapped him. Hard.
" What did you just do?!" He yelled, eyes melting in fury as he clutched my neck, slamming me into the wall.
" Baby, let her go...you don't want to kill her now. Not when we have nowhere to dispose the body" stella, his secretary said.
Her gown was still high up and I could still catch a glimpse of the red panties underneath.
" I will kill you for this! I promise you!" Leon yelled, but he let go of my throat regardless, letting my body slump to the ground.
I hummed with pain, sucking in air like I had been deprived for more than the mere seconds he held my throat.
"Ew, baby why did you marry this girl? She looks so pathetic it's irritating "
Tears formed in my eyes..not of pain, but of raw, unhinged anger.
" I gave you this job! You came to me begging for a job Stella! I referred you to my husband and you had the guts to sleep with him! For years Stella!"
I got up again, this time, determined to send her into coma.
But she kicked me, her high Louis Vuitton heels digging into my chest.
I saw the smile bloom on her face.
" So you think because you made your husband employ me I owe you my loyalty? How can't you see that he does not love you?! He even asks you to abort the children you have with him! Are you that blind to not see it?!"
My mouth gaped.
I turned to look at Leon, but he was unbothered.
He had told her.
She continued, bolder now in fact.
" If not for your sick mother, do you think he would end up with you? He did it out of kindness..so you don't have a say! Go home! And stop causing a fuss"
I remembered why I married him in the first place. My mother was dying and she needed someone to help with the bills and the company.
And now...five years later, this marriage served as the most unbearing relationship of my life.
“I hate you, Leon, I hate you so much!” I cried out finally, my trembling body falling to the ground, my chest heaving from intense emotions.
Imagine going to see your husband with a smile on your face, but all you got was humiliation, pain and disappointment.
I could see the picture of his expression when he saw me.
No shock, no regret, just pure coldness and dissatisfaction was all I saw on his face.
“Why didn't you knock before coming in?!”
He had yelled at me coldly and when I questioned what he was doing, my husband had chuckled indifferently, then pushed his mistress down and kissed her in front of me.
There was no single respect, just pure indifference and coldness that left me shattered, and made me realize I had been wrong all along.
" I am not going back home. There is no home for you and I again. I am done" I said, resolutely.
I could feel his eyes on me, serious for a minute, and then...he burst out laughing, loud and obnoxious.
Stella cackled with him too, like I had cracked a joke that I was not aware about.
" So you don't get it? You think you can walk out on me? On this marriage?! Let me jug your memory Akira" Leon said.
I watched him walk over to a drawer and pull out a document, tossing it over to me with a sadistic smirk on his face.
" What is this?" I asked with shaky hands, eyes blurring as I stared at my signature at the bottom of the contract.
" Can't you read? That shows that you are legally my wife and you are bound to me forever. You signed it yourself. I own you."
My confusion turned to fury and in an instant, my hands were flying with rage as I tore the paper into shreds, yelling.
But he was not bothered, instead, he wore a smirk.
" I like this side of you. It's almost predatory. Now, go home. Don't make me repeat myself"
I stared at the both of them. First at Stella that now grinned like a Cheshire cat and then down to Leon with his hands wrapped around her waist.
" This is not over. I will fight you till death if I have to" I said, sniffing again.
My car closed with a heavy thud as I sat there, letting the tears pour, weeping for my life and the perfect image I sought to hold on to for so long.
As I sat there inside the car, my mind was weighed with so many thoughts, then—
“RING!!”
My body jolted at the sound, and my brain snapped back. I immediately pulled out my phone from my bag, wiped my tears, and unlocked my phone, but what I saw stunned me—
“Hi, please, keep this a secret. I’m Stella, and I would like us to meet. I have a way to help you regain your freedom from your Husband, Leon Stone!”

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
