Chapter 1
Wren's POV
The keyboard is the first thing I hate about him.
Not because it is ugly. It is actually kind of beautiful, all black and clean, tucked under his arm like he would drop everything else before he dropped that. The movers are carrying boxes, lamps, a whole dresser wrapped in plastic, and this boy I have never met in my life walks past all of it carrying nothing but that keyboard, like the rest of his world does not matter.
I am watching from the top of the stairs when he comes through the front door.
He is tall. Dark hair that needs a cut. A jaw that looks like it was designed to make people feel stupid for noticing it. He is wearing a gray shirt with a small tear near the collar, and he does not look nervous at all, which I hate most of all, because my hands have been shaking since six this morning.
My mother is standing in the doorway, glowing like it is Christmas. She has been glowing for three weeks straight. Ever since she said Wren, I need to tell you something, and then told me that the man she has been dating for eight months has a son, and that they are getting married, and that the son is my age, and that they are moving in this Saturday.
This Saturday was supposed to be four months away.
Four months became three. Then six weeks. Then my mother knocked on my door last Tuesday and said, " Sweetheart, it's going to be this weekend, and I smiled and said, " Okay, " and closed my door and sat on my floor for forty minutes.
I have been smiling and saying okay for three weeks.
I am done now.
He looks up.
I do not know why. I have not made a sound. But his eyes go straight to the top of the stairs like he already knew I was there, and for one second, we just look at each other. His expression does not change. No smile. No wave. No, hi, I am your new stepbrother. Sorry about your life. Just this flat, direct look, like he is reading something written on my face and does not like what it says.
I look away first. I hate that I look away first.
Dinner is the worst twenty-three minutes of my year.
Our parents sit across from each other, talking too loudly about the new neighborhood, the school schedule, the garage space, and the grocery situation. His dad, Soren, keeps touching my mother's hand. She keeps laughing at things that are not that funny. I watch my plate. I move my food around. Beside me, close enough that I could touch him if I leaned two inches left, Declan does the same thing.
We have not spoken one word to each other.
His dad says, " So you two are going to be at the same school, that is exciting, right and I say yes at the same moment Declan says, " Sure, " and our voices land on top of each other and then drop dead.
My mother fills the silence immediately, talking about Hartwell's arts program, about my content channel, about my follower count, as if it is a personality trait. I want to dissolve into the floor. I can feel Declan not looking at me the same way. I can feel a bruise without touching it.
When I stand to clear my plate, no one stops me.
I am three steps up the stairs when I hear him.
His voice is low, not meant to travel. He thinks I am already gone. He says it to the table or the wall or no one at all, just quietly, like something he cannot hold in anymore.
"This was a mistake."
I stop walking.
My hand is on the railing. My chest does something sharp and stupid. Because I have been thinking those exact words since six this morning and hearing them out loud from him, this stranger in my house with his keyboard and his torn collar, it does not make me feel better.
It makes it worse.
I go to my room. I lock the door. I set up my camera on the desk the way I always do when I need to process something, red light blinking, recording, and I talk. I talk about the moving truck and the keyboard and the twenty-three minutes and the way he looked at me at the top of the stairs like I was already a problem he was tired of solving. I talk about how my mother looked so happy that it scared me. I talk about how his voice sounded when he said it was a mistake, not angry, just certain, like a person who has already been through too much to pretend.
I talked for eleven minutes.
Then I stop.
Rewind.
Watch myself.
I look terrified.
I deleted the whole thing.
I am almost asleep when I hear it.
Through the wall between our rooms, soft enough that I almost miss it, the first few notes of something slow and unfinished. He is playing. At eleven-thirty on a Saturday night in a house he just moved into, while his dad and my mom are probably still downstairs talking too loudly, he is sitting in the dark playing his keyboard with the volume turned almost all the way down.
I lie completely still and listen.
It is not a song I know. It does not sound like a song at all, yet more like a question with no answer, the same four bars repeating, changing each time slightly, like he is looking for something and has not found it.
It is the most honest thing I have heard all day.
I press my hand flat against the wall between us.
Then I hear him stop.
I hear the soft sound of a drawer opening. Papers moving. A pen clicking.
Then silence.
I pull my hand back fast. My phone lights up on the nightstand. A notification. I reach for it without thinking.
It is from the Hartwell gossip account.
The account that posts about everyone at school, the one with four thousand followers, the one that has never once mentioned my name without asking first.
The post is a photo.
Of me.
Of him.
From tonight. Leaving the same front door of the same party at the same second, his jacket half across my shoulder from the rain, both of us caught mid-step, looking like something we are absolutely not.
The caption reads: new girl, new boy, new story, who saw this coming?
Forty-seven comments.
I sit up in bed.
The number changes while I am looking at it.
Forty-eight.
Forty-nine.
Fifty-two.

The CEO's Unspoken Love
Before I could answer, he moved closer, suddenly looming over me, his face inches from mine. I felt my breath caught, my lips parting in surprise.
"Then this is the price for speaking ill of me to others," he murmured, nipping my lower lip before claiming my mouth in a real kiss. It began as punishment but quickly transformed into something else entirely as I responded, my initial rigidity melting into compliance, then active participation.
My breathing accelerated, small sounds escaping my throat as he explored my body. His touches were both punishment and pleasure, drawing shudders from me that I thought he felt reverberating through his own body.
My nightgown had ridden up, his hands discovering more of mine with each caress. We were both lost in sensation, rational thought receding with each passing second...

Bound by the Dragon Mafia
The head chef looked like he was silently praying for death.
I rushed forward. “Amara. Stop traumatizing these poor people.”
She spun around, delighted. “Sera! Good, you’re here. Taste this. It’s missing despair.”
The chef’s face morphed into existential crisis.
I grabbed her arm. “Put the spatula down.”
“But—”
“Down.”
With exaggerated offense, she dropped the spatula and muttered, “Fine. But if no one here has artistic vision, that’s not my fault.”

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
Genevieve loses a bet she can’t afford to pay. In a compromise, she agrees to convince any man her opponent chooses to go home with her that night. The Unwritten Princess
My name is Mia, and everything I touch is dying.
The flowers beneath my mother's window turned black overnight. The herbs I gathered at dawn rotted in my hands. When the court wizard finally told me the truth—that someone cursed me, that my presence would kill everyone I love—I realized the prophecy everyone believed was never meant to save the kingdom. It was meant to destroy me.
So I ran. Not to fulfill some destiny, but to survive it.
Now I'm traveling with a hunter who lost his companions to the same curse I carry, chasing fragments of a prophecy the Fae sing differently. An elf took a baby from the palace the night I was born. And somewhere between the lies I've been told and the truth I'm hunting, I'm starting to suspect: What if I'm not the princess from the prophecy at all?
Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.
**
As a ballet dancer, My life looks perfect—scholarship, starring role, sweet boyfriend Tyler. Until Tyler shows his true colors and his older brother, Asher, comes home.
Asher is a Navy veteran with battle scars and zero patience. He calls me "princess" like it's an insult. I can't stand him.
When My ankle injury forces her to recover at the family lake house, I‘m stuck with both brothers. What starts as mutual hatred slowly turns into something forbidden.
I'm falling for my boyfriend's brother.
**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
Vengeance of the Forsaken Luna
"Bella." Ethan's tone shifted, taking on that warning edge I knew too well. "Faye is vulnerable right now. She's terrified you'll resent her, that this will divide the pack. The last thing she wants is for this baby to come between us."
"Then you shouldn't have done it." I met his eyes squarely, letting him see the ice in mine. "Go back to your son."
"For fuck's sake." He dragged a hand through his hair. "How many times—it was artificial insemination. They used my sperm, yes, but Faye and I never—"
Bella let out a cold snort. Such brazen lies. Her mate had an affair with his brother's partner, and his entire family helped force her out with nothing, all to make way for the mistress to take her rightful position. Poor fool—he thought she was just an unwanted adopted daughter, easy to dismiss and control. He never knew the computer genius he'd been searching for was his own Luna.
Since he'd tainted himself, Bella was done. She rejected him and reclaimed what was hers, rising to the top with help from Victor, who'd been secretly in love with her for years.
When Ethan tried winning her back: "You don't want our child growing up fatherless."
Bella smiled mockingly. "The child's father isn't you."
