Introduction

Luna Sera received news that the Omega Maya, her husband’s sister in law, was pregnant. She claimed that the biological father of the child in her womb was Alpha Cassen, Sera's husband. Instead of showing remorse, Alpha Cassen made excuses, "You cannot give me a child. The Moreno clan must not go extinct." That night, Sera dialed a forbidden number and chose to marry the most powerful Alpha in the North. On her wedding day, Alpha Cassen knelt and begged for her to return, indifferent to Luna Sera's own pregnancy which he claimed was an illegitimate child. Sera stepped back into the arms of Alpha Rolex. Coldly, Alpha Rolex spoke, "Forgotten the seniority? From now on, call her "Sister in law."

Chapter 1

"Alpha Cassen, I am heavily pregnant. And from now on, I want to live in this house."

Those words came from the lips of Maya, an omega, with a tone so calm it was as if she were merely delivering a trivial piece of news.

On the other side of the dining table, Luna Sera Sclair, who was sipping mineral water, immediately choked. The clear liquid sprayed from her lips, soaking the expensive linen tablecloth and her fingers, which suddenly went stiff.

"What?" Sera gasped, her chest feeling tight. "Pregnant?"

She stared at Maya with wide eyes, her face pale.

"Maya… who did this to you?" her voice trembled. "Since Alpha Corus passed away, you’ve been living alone. Tell me who that barbarian is! I will demand he take responsibility!"

Sera's tone was filled with genuine concern. Maya simply sat there calmly. She leaned her back against the chair, then stroked her bulging belly beneath her loose gown. A thin smile slowly curved on her lips.

"Sister-in-law, you truly are very kind."

Her eyes narrowed meaningfully.

"But that man is here. I came today to demand responsibility… directly from the father of this baby."

Maya’s gaze slowly shifted.

Her stare fell exactly on the man sitting at the head of the table.

Sera’s body froze.

With a stiff movement, she turned toward her husband.

Alpha Cassen.

The man remained sitting casually in his chair, sipping red wine from a crystal glass as if nothing were happening. There was no trace of shock on his handsome face.

Even Madam Diana, sitting beside him, appeared perfectly calm.

As if this conversation were merely casual small talk.

"Here…?" Sera whispered in a trembling voice. "You mean… Alpha Cassen?"

She stared at Maya in total disbelief. But Maya only smiled wider.

"Yes," she answered lightly. "Alpha Cassen is the biological father of the baby I am carrying."

Those words were like a lightning bolt striking Sera’s head.

She looked at her husband with eyes that were beginning to fill with tears.

"Is it true, Alpha Cassen?" her voice was almost inaudible. "You… the father of the baby carried by my own sister-in-law?"

Tears finally fell, wetting her pale cheeks.

She looked at her husband desperately, waiting for a denial that never came. However, Alpha Cassen only set his wine glass down calmly.

"Calm yourself, Luna Sera," he said flatly.

"The Moza Group needs a strong successor. The Moreno Stone clan has also waited far too long for the birth of an heir."

His voice was cold, devoid of even a hint of emotion. It was as if he were discussing a business decision.

Sera’s heart felt as though it were being crushed.

"An heir?" Sera laughed bitterly.

The laugh sounded incredibly painful amidst the silence of the dining room.

"Have you forgotten?" her voice began to shake. "That night… when you knelt under the moonlight to propose to me…"

Her tears fell even faster.

"You said you didn't need an heir!"

"I hesitated to accept your proposal because my womb had issues. But you convinced me… that you only needed me."

Her voice turned into a sob.

"You said your love was enough… even without a child!"

Sera lifted her head, looking at her husband with a face full of hurt.

"But now…"

"You actually slept with your own sister-in-law behind my back?"

"You are disgusting, Alpha Cassen!"

Cassen’s jaw tightened.

A powerful Alpha aura suddenly filled the room, making the servants bow their heads in fear.

But before he could speak, someone suddenly came from behind.

Slap!

A hard slap landed on Sera’s cheek. Her head was thrown to the side. A burning sensation spread across her face.

Madam Diana stood there, her face full of rage.

"Watch your mouth!" she barked sharply.

"Alpha Corus is dead. It is only right that Alpha Cassen takes responsibility for his widow!"

The woman's gaze was full of contempt.

"Besides, you are barren, Luna Sera!"

"What right do you have to protest?"

Sera touched her cheek, which felt stung.

Madam Diana continued in a cold tone, "You should be grateful Alpha Cassen didn't kick you out of this house a long time ago."

"At least you still have a roof over your head."

Sera slowly looked at her husband.

"So… Madam knew as well?" she whispered faintly.

Cassen looked at her with a cold expression.

"I am the Alpha of the Moreno Stone clan," he stated.

"I am responsible for the continuation of this family's bloodline."

"You cannot give me a child."

"And I will not let my lineage simply come to an end."

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"Didn't you always say you liked children?"

"When this baby is born later, you can raise it."

"It will call you mother."

"Isn't that the best contribution you can give to this family?"

Sera shook her head slowly.

Tears flowed without stopping.

"So I should thank you?"

"You're giving me a chance to be a mother… by raising the child of your own affair?"

Alpha Cassen growled softly.

"Luna! I have spoken kindly to you. Do not use your sharp tongue in front of me!"

But Sera only laughed bitterly.

Madam Diana snorted in annoyance.

"Enough!"

The woman suddenly grabbed Sera’s arm roughly.

"You truly are ungrateful!"

"You get a child without having to ruin your body, and you still dare to complain?"

"You useless woman!"

"Get out of this house!"

Sera was dragged toward the main door.

She did not resist.

Her eyes were fixed only on Alpha Cassen.

Hoping the man would stop his mother.

But Cassen instead turned his face away.

He went back to sipping his wine as if none of this had anything to do with him.

The large doors swung open.

Sera’s body was pushed out forcefully. Sera did not struggle at all, only staring at Cassen with a hollow gaze. She never expected to be treated this way.

She fell onto the cold asphalt.

Outside, a blizzard was raging.

The cold wind pierced her skin, which was only covered by a thin gown.

Her body began to shiver violently. Sera did not move. She just sat there in front of the massive gate.

The night wind carried the sound of conversation from inside the house. The voices reached Sera’s ears faintly.

"Madam… it is very cold outside," a servant said with a worried voice. "Luna Sera is only wearing thin clothes. I am worried she will get sick."

Alpha Cassen’s voice sounded cold.

"Leave her."

"After she realizes that she is nothing without this family, she will come crawling back and beg for forgiveness."

Madam Diana laughed cynically.

"True."

"When she returns later, make sure she learns how to care for a baby."

"Maya’s body is weak. She must not get exhausted."

"We’ll just use that barren woman to take care of the baby."

Every word felt like a knife stabbing Sera’s heart.

It was all over.

They truly threw her away like trash.

Sera closed her eyes.

Tears froze on her cheeks.

"Alpha Cassen…" she whispered hoarsely.

"Is it all going to end like this? You don't care about me at all."

She slowly reached into a small pocket in her gown.

With fingers turning blue from the cold, she pulled out a small cell phone she had been hiding all this time.

She pressed a number she hadn't called in a long time.

"Hello…" Sera’s voice trembled.

"A long time ago… you once said you wanted to marry me."

"Does that offer… still stand?"

A few seconds of silence.

Then, a man’s voice low, deep, and full of authority was heard from the other side.

"Still."
