Chapter 1
|| MONICA's POV ||
"Alpha....I..I can't take it anymore.. Please.."
I groaned between my pain and pleasure. Even after three times, he wasn't done with me. King Zion spoke in a rough voice, thrusting inside me deeper than before,
"Aren’t you built for this?"
My heart skipped a bit, and both pleasure and shame washed over me.
Shame and guilt.
I was used to this life of slavery. Although my body felt the torture, a part of me liked his dark side. Lycan King Zion De Rossi had been the savior of my life. After I lost my family in the hands of our enemies, I escaped that day but my fortune wasn't with me. Later I was abducted with my maid and we were both bought by King Zion's people.
Our journey started in the Lycan Kingdom. King Zion had always been a cold person. He talked less and kept a cold aura around him always. Despite being a cold person, he was the definition of handsome. With his straight nose, dark hair, and brown eyes, he could capture the heart of any woman. Everybody said that it was my fortune that he had his eyes on me.
“Good girl.” He always said.
I was only sixteen when I entered the Lycan Kingdom. Except for his desire, I wasn't mistreated here. They liked me for being the King's favorite. They said you are special.
Only I knew what I was.
I used to believe that I was his favorite and then I misunderstood something, like…Alpha Zion loved me, and as time elapsed, I almost forgot the hatred I buried in my deep heart. The way his gaze landed on me, the way he called my name, all of them, gave me the illusion.
But it was all an illusion.
All I could do was to please him and seek my chance like now.
"Thank you, Master. Should I bring you.. another tea? It's cold now." I forced myself to be delightful and smiled brightly.
But he didn’t reply to my question, instead, he looked into my eyes deeply.
“What do you think about Gabriel?” He suddenly asked.
Just hearing the name could make my brows furrow in an instant. Gabriel was a disgusting bastard, “I’d always been wondering how it would taste if a princess rides on me”, “You think my brother cares about you? It’s he who told me what a slut you are on the bed recommended me to you”, That was what he threatened me every day.
But at the same time, he was King Zion’s cousin. Maybe he had told Zion something, and that was why he suddenly asked me.
“I don’t know him much.” I forced myself to keep smiling, but then I felt a rough finger on my wet lips, feeling it rubbing my lips, my teeth and…deep in my mouth.
I raised my head and met his stunning eyes.
“You are indeed nothing to me, Monica,” I almost forgot to breathe, “But you need to remember, Monica. You are my slave. My pet. One and only.”
“Call Theo to come here.”
I left the room with a long sigh of relief. I thought that he was going to ask for me. Once I came out, I met Sally who was standing for me. Sally passed me a warm blanket as the weather outside suddenly became cold. I thanked her with a warm smile,
"Thank you, Sally. Only you care about me."
Sally had been my maid ever since I entered the Lycan Kingdom. Her sister was my maid since I was a child. Her sister impersonated me and saved me from the enemies. They thought of her as me and killed her. Sally was left in my car and thankfully, we were sold in the same kingdom.
Sally asked excitedly, keeping her eyes on the surroundings,
"How did it go, Princess? Did you impress him today?"
I let out a long exhausted sigh. Although I was serving King Zion for more than three years, he was too cold to approach. I did impress him in many ways but he didn't give me any place in his heart. I shook my head, walking briskly to the servant quarters,
"No, Sally. He didn't do anything special for me. Hopefully, he will change one day but the time is getting shorter. I heard that Alpha Mason has won over another pack. The more wins he has, the stronger, he will grow."
Sally's face darkened at the mention of Alpha Mason. She also hated Alpha Masons like me. Even her whole family was murdered on the same day. Sally spoke with a scoff, walking next to me,
"No matter how strong he becomes, he will never be a match against the Lycan King. You have to work harder, Princess."
I paused between my walks to look at the full moon. The tension regarding King Zion was so intense that I missed an important moment. Sally seemed to read through my mind as she gasped, her eyes widening in shock,
"Pri.. Princess..You are turning 18 tonight. Which means..."
I cut her off with a sharp reply, feeling an inner conflict inside,
"It means that I am supposed to find my mate tonight but I have no plans with my mate. I couldn't be with someone who wasn't powerful enough to help me with my kingdom."
Sally paused to ask with a low growl, her eyes watching me closely,
"WHAT.. WHAT DO YOU MEAN.. PRINCESS.."
I replied while continuing my walk to the servant quarters,
"I will reject my bond with anyone if it's not the king."
Sally gasped next to me, walking side by side,
"NO! PRINCESS! Your wolf will be broken. You can't take the pain. Please think about it once again."
I paused between my walk abruptly before blurting at Sally with tears in my eyes,
“I can take the pain, Sally.”
“Part of me already died when I saw my mother, father, brothers, and pregnant sister-in-law, all killed in front of my eyes. I don't care about the pain of this world anymore. I will take my revenge at any cost.”
The dark woods stood in front of me. My head was pounding with the smell of sex everywhere. The moon was hanging over my head. The unmated werewolves were all around to find their fated mates. Although I wanted to stay in my room, my desperate wolf was pushing me out.
I started walking into the woods, and the strong smell coming from the woods told me that my mate was nearby. My wolf howled in joy, running faster into the woods, and finally shifted into her beast form. It followed the smell of our mate in the woods.
I heard a growl close by obviously coming from our mate. When my wolf wanted to run to him, I forced my wolf to turn around and run in a different direction. I didn't want a mate for myself. I had other goals in my life and a mate would only be trouble for me. I couldn't endanger his life on this bloody path of mine.
Letting out a roar, I ran faster into the woods, jumping through the bushes and ignoring the sound of other howls, coming from my surroundings. A dark shadow was chasing me. I didn't need to turn around and see who it was. It must have been my mate who smelled my arousal and followed me.
I kept running desperately, my wolf screaming in my head,
"YOU ARE HURTING ME!"
I shouted back, determined not to meet my mate tonight,
"WE CAN'T! MY PARENTS..NEED JUSTICE.."
My wolf started sobbing as I kept dashing away from my mate further and further away. When I thought that I might have escaped, a big black wolf jumped on my body. I fell forward with a squeak, hitting myself on the ground. My wolf lay facing its head down on the ground. Another animalistic snarl came to my ears,
"WHO allows you to leave here!"
I held my breath in fear. My wolf could sense the dominant aura, coming from his wolf. I whimpered painfully under his clutch. He suddenly let go of my throat, standing a step away. I haven't met his eyes yet. He was big, far larger than my wolf. I could sense it from his gravity. His voice came out as a command, sending shivers down my spine,
"SHIFT! I SAID SHIFT!!"
My wolf whined to submit and finally gave up. In a few seconds, I was lying stark naked under his watchful eyes. I lifted myself nervously and raised my head slowly to meet those murderou
s eyes. A gasp came out of my mouth when to saw the man standing in front of me,
"MATE…”

“There are no limits between us,” he chuckled, the mirth sparkling in his gorgeous eyes. “And all of this stems from the night you gave me both pain and pleasure. I’m simply returning the favor.”
He took two steps forward, and I stepped back. “But…” The memory of what I had done filled me with fear, and I knew I had to get out of there. “I…”
“No, Firecat.” He placed an index finger on my lips. “This will take your mind off that son of a bitch.” His strong hands pulled me by the waist until I felt his hard manhood.

"Your Majesty... I beg—" He shoved me onto the bed. Silk tore with a sharp rip, cold air rushing over my exposed body.
"Scared?" He smirked, palm sliding down my waist, fingers tracing slow, burning circles. "Yet you shiver... not from cold."
I lunged for the candlestick, but he caught my wrist, pinning it overhead. His knee forced my legs apart.
"When your father gave you to me," his lips brushed my ear, voice a dark rumble, "you were already mine."

Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.

His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
