Jade Rivers is the daughter of the of the Beta of the Moon Stone Pack. She is loved by all of the pack and is the top warrior of the pack, even without her wolf. She is about to turn 18 which is an important milestone for werewolves. It is the age of the first shift and when they are able to detect their mate. Werewolves now live in a time where it is hard to find your fated mate and most take a chosen mate. Will Jade find her mate? What secrets are her family hiding?

Chapter 1

Jade's POV

I stood frozen in place, staring at those enchanting silver eyes. Beautiful silver eyes that look as if they are glowing and are keeping me in a trance. I open my mouth to speak, I want to ask who is this person but all that comes out is a ringing sound. Wait is that a phone? I think to myself. Next thing I know I am darting my eyes open and notice my phone is ringing. I groan and pick up the phone and see my best friend Mia Summers is calling. I answer and answer completely annoyed that someone interrupted my sleep, "Mia you better have a good reason for calling me and waking me up before my alarm!" "Well good morning to you too sunshine.", Mia responds sarcastically. I roll my eyes at that but let her continue. "Relax, I only woke you up 30 minutes before your alarm Miss Grumpy pants. I was just calling so you could ask your parents to let you go shopping with me after school since we are getting out early because it's our last day, also your birthday party is in 2 weeks and we should really find what gown we are going to wear, not to mention our graduation outfits as well." I internally groan because I know how shopping with Mia is going to go, "Alright Mia, I will ask my parents, but do I really need to buy gown, can't I just wear a nice dress?" Mia responds with" Jade you know how important turning 18 is for werewolf and they practically celebrate it by throwing a ball. Not to mention that you are the Beta's daughter and the Luna and Alpha's favorite pack member." I sigh at that, "Fine meet me by my car after school" Mia then says her goodbyes to me and we end the call. I check the time and there is only 10 minutes before my actual alarm goes off and I decide to start getting ready.

I walk over to my bathroom, brush my teeth, wash my face, and brush my hair. I look at the mirror and study myself, the first thing I notice is my very long thick, wavy, black hair. I then roam to my face and see my very fair complexion. I analyze my face and I can really say I am pleased with my features, I have a button nose, full lips, a heart shape face, and then my eyes which are a jade green color and everyone's favorite feature about me. I sigh and wonder where I got all these features, I look nothing like the rest of my family. They all have brown hair, brown eyes, and a fair complexion but not as fair as mine. I sometimes wonder if I might be adopted because of how different they are from me but refuse to ask my parents because the last thing I want is to make them feel bad because regardless of the physical differences they treat me so good they are the best parents and I don't think I could ask for more from them. I shake my head and try to avoid those thoughts. I put my hair in a fishtail braid. I then move to make up I just apply my usual thin winged eyeliner; I also apply my usual rosy nude lip stain and that's all I need for my everyday make up since I have really good skin. I head over to my closet and wear my black jeans ripped over the knees, an off-shoulder emerald green sweater, and I also put on my favorite black combat boots that reach the middle of my shins. I go to my mirror and do a one over, and I look quite hot if I do say so myself. I have a fit well-built body since I am the best warrior in my pack, I have a great shape. I am 5'8, 2 inches shorter that the average height for she-wolves, but don't let that fool you, I can kick some ass. I also have a nice ass and C size cupped breast which compliment my figure. Once I am done looking at myself, I take off through my door.

I run through my house into the kitchen and quickly whip up a protein shake and grab a granola bar. I head to the door that leads to the garage and open it, only to crash into Julian Stone, future alpha of my pack the Moon Stone Pack. He is 22 years old, has chestnut brown hair, hazel eyes, a sharp jawline, 6'6, and a hot muscular body. He is also my sister Ava's boyfriend and they are most likely going to become chosen mates. He just stares at me for moment before shaking his head and says, "Hey Jade I was actually hoping to bump into you, I just didn't believe it would happen quite literally. I blushed at that. "Sorry Jul, I was just in a hurry, don't want to be late to my last day of school" He gave me a small smile and said, "Don't apologize Jade, it's not like I am complaining about it, besides I wanted to ask you something." I looked at him suspiciously "Alright, shoot." "So, as you are aware you are our top warrior even though you still haven't had your first shift. I wanted to ask you if you could be my assistant for training classes for the teens? I mean since you are already going to the trainings with all high ranking wolfs and once, I become Alpha I will need you to take over trainings as head warrior with my Gamma Levi." I smile at him, "Of course that will be perfect, that way I can also start getting a hang on things before Levi and I take over. " He grins at me and says. "Alright Jade we start tomorrow morning at 6." "Sounds good, see you later Jul." He waves goodbye at me and goes into the house probably stopping by to see my sister.

I arrive at the school student parking lot. I decide to send my mom a text about my plans with Mia after school instead of mind linking her because I know she is probably busy. Before I get out the I follow my usual routine where I look at myself in the car mirror and state four positive affirmations about myself. I say out loud, "You are beautiful. You are strong. You are smart. You are independent." I smile at myself and get out of the car. I walk to my locker eating my granola bar and take some sips of my protein shake. I grab a jean jacket that I keep in my locker in case I need it, since my locker was already emptied out since yesterday. "Damn girl why do you get hotter every day I see you? You make a girl jealous.", Mia says as she walks up to me. "Mia you are hot too, what are you even saying?" "Not as hot as you.", she says with a pout. "Mia, we already talked about this, you are beautiful and if you want to do anything to feel better, I could always train you. " She scoffs. "Hell no! I already know how easily you switch to drill sergeant mode, but if you can get either the hot future Beta or yummy Gamma to do so I would not complain at all." Her face suddenly switches over to a dreamy one. I roll my eyes and smack the back of her head. " Mia lets go to class, let's get this last day over with already." Today is a half day in school and there really is nothing going on in my classes today and before I know it, I am in my last class of the day. My mind starts to drift back to those dreams I have been having. Those amazing silver eyes. They are too beautiful to be put into words to describe them. But what do these dreams even mean? Who do these eyes belong to and why am I even dreaming of eyes I have never seen before in real life? Something I can say though is that I have never felt so immersed in my life.

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...

Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.

George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

One day I'm dealing with cranky toddlers and parents who work too much to actually parent, the next my life is turned upside down and I'm working in a bar for supernaturals. I might not know how to mix drinks, but strangely enough the skills needed to deal with misbehaving children seem to work well enough on vampires, werewolves and even witches. The bad news is that humans aren't supposed to know about all this magic stuff and so now I'm magically bound to this bar until I can convince them that I won't go telling everyone. Or I die, whichever comes first. Sadly dying is seeming more and more likely because someone is after me. I don't know who or why but they are dangerous and they have magic. So I'll domy best to survive, and if that means spending some extra time with my scary but gorgeous boss then so be it. I'll convince him to trust me if it's the last thing I do.

"White wolf! Kill that monster!"
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

510.1k Views · Completed · Jessica C. Dolan
Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé.
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
