To Hell With the Mate Bond
Ladys · Completed · 6.4k Words
Introduction
Then my wolf let out a tormented howl.
Through the soul bond of fated mates, I felt it clearly—
my husband held my maid in his arms, drowning in desperate lust.
That nourishing tonic I’d drunk for three years, which I’d believed was filled with his affection, had only been brewed to keep me barren all along.
"Eric, I want you..."
"All of me is yours, my love. Bear our cub soon."
Those sweet whispers I once held dear shattered me to pieces in an instant.
The whole clan praised us as the perfect pair.
Yet who could have imagined this marriage had been built entirely on lies from the very start?
Since he is such a master of pretense, I suppose it’s time I put on a show of my own.
I will expose the true face of this flawless husband for everyone to see.
Chapter 1
Everyone said I was the luckiest woman in the Northlands Pack, blessed with Alpha Eric's most devoted love.
Until my wolf let out a scream of agony.
Through our mate bond, I felt it—
My husband was pinning my maid against a tree, taking her with wild abandon.
And that tonic I'd been drinking for three years, believing it was filled with his love, was only meant to keep me barren.
"Eric, I want..."
"Anything for you, baby. Get pregnant with our pup."
Those sweet nothings I knew so well now shattered me completely.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple.
But who would've guessed this marriage was built on lies from the very beginning?
Since he's such a talented actor, I think it's time I gave him a performance of my own.
I'll make sure everyone sees this perfect husband's true face.

My wolf released a pained howl.
Then a nauseating wave of forced pleasure crashed over me.
My wolf couldn't stop roaring in my head: "Let me out! I'll rip Eric's throat out! He betrayed you, Carol!"
Immediately, through our mate bond, I not only heard sounds—I was forced to share Eric's sensations.
Tomorrow was supposed to be our three-year anniversary, blessed by the Moon Goddess herself.
Eric, who should've been patrolling the territory, was currently pressing my personal maid Anna against a tree trunk in the back hills.
He was kissing her frantically.
"Eric, don't..." Anna moaned, pushing weakly against him.
"What if Carol finds out..."
"Don't mention her right now."
Eric was beyond impatient. "She's nothing but a block of wood who only knows how to work. She doesn't understand desire at all."
"Anna, only you drive me crazy."
"But she's your Luna."
Eric let out a cold snort. "Luna? The Northlands Pack doesn't need a Luna who can't bear pups."
"Three years of marriage and her belly's still flat as a board. She doesn't deserve that position."
Anna giggled coquettishly, hooking her arms around his neck, moaning continuously: "When I become the Northlands Pack's Luna, I'll give you the strongest pups."
The next second, Anna's expression turned cold as she pushed Eric away.
"But not now, Eric."
She straightened her disheveled clothes while lowering her head pitifully.
"I don't want our child born in the shadows."
"As long as Carol occupies that position, my child will never have legitimacy. He'll be looked down upon."
The fury of rejection and the thrill of the affair flooded through our mental link, spreading through my entire body.
My wolf roared in my mind: "Carol, let me kill him!"
I clenched my fists, trying to maintain reason, though my voice trembled. "He's the mate chosen by the Moon Goddess."
"So what? He betrayed you! He betrayed the Moon Goddess too!"
Just then, another calm voice spoke up.
"Luna, the asset transfer agreement is ready. It only requires your signature to take effect immediately."
It was Leo, my trusted beta.
He was reaching out through our mental link.
"That won't be necessary, Leo," I responded in my mind.
"Halt all ongoing asset transfers. Also, investigate every interaction between my maid Anna and Eric. I want evidence of every single affair."
Before Leo could respond, the door was violently shoved open.
Eric strode in.
The desire in his eyes, the frustration he couldn't satisfy with Anna, now poured entirely into the way he looked at me.
"Eric! You just—" I was about to confront him.
Without a word of tenderness, he rushed over and pulled me into his arms.
His forearm bulged with veins, his grip frighteningly strong.
I started to struggle, but his Alpha aura instantly enveloped me completely.
It was the mate bond, forcing me into early heat.
My thighs were already slick. I tried to press them together.
My body was screaming. Burning.
Damn instinct!
"Let go..." I pressed my hands against his chest, my nails scraping his skin.
"Let go? Have you forgotten your duty?" His hand traced my neck before he bit down.
"Since you can't bear pups, we'll just have to do it more often."
His large, rough palm forced my legs apart, shoving between my thighs.
"Don't look at me like that, Carol."
"Look at you—saying 'let go' while you're this wet down here... As Luna, besides this body in heat, what use are you?"
He gripped my ankles, effortlessly dragging me toward him and hooking my legs over his shoulders.
"Eric... you bastard..." I bit through my lip, but under his precise torment, I descended into madness.
He knew exactly where I was sensitive, yet he tortured me with it.
I was forced to arch my head back, craving more, my voice breaking into moans: "Eric, fill me up... let me carry your pup..."
He leaned down, panting in my ear. "Carol, you sound so much better begging than when you're giving orders."
"Be good. Present yourself like a proper she-wolf."
The heat robbed me of reason.
He pounded into me relentlessly. I cried out, shameless as a wild animal: "Deeper, Eric, I'm yours... I can't live without you... faster, give me everything!"
This damned instinct made me lose control of my own body.
Hearing the pathetic begging coming from my own mouth made me sick.
I swore to myself—this would be the last time.
Just as the climax was about to consume me, Eric suddenly stopped.
My mind went blank.
"No! Don't stop! Please..." I begged in agony, my body still desperate.
Eric shoved me away. "Damn it!"
His face was terrifyingly dark as he headed straight for the door without looking back.
I scrambled after him desperately, clutching his leg, my voice pleading: "Eric... don't go, please don't leave me like this..."
"Don't bother me, Carol!" He didn't even spare me a glance, kicking me away with disgust.
The door slammed violently. He was gone.
I watched his retreating figure, naked and curled up on the floor, my body still trembling from the lingering lust and the brutal pain of being kicked away.
I looked down at the fluid running down my thighs, feeling cold to my very core.
After a moment, I shakily got to my feet, pulled out a bottle of heavy-duty suppressants, and swallowed them down with my tears.
The medication plunged me into an icy abyss, forcibly suppressing the heat raging inside me.
Bracing myself against the wall, I secretly followed him.

Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.

He turns—and runs.

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
