gematheae · Ongoing · 43.7k Words
Introduction
Inside the tower were floors filled with monsters, gods, curses, relics and hard trials.
People had to climb the tower to survive.
Many groups, called Guilds formed.
Some kingdoms even fell apart.
The strong people became the leaders.
Adrian Chapman was once the best climber humanity had.
Then he became the biggest traitor.
After reaching Floor 97 Adrian got betrayed by his friends.
He and his friends had been climbing together for twenty years.
They even killed him to get the relic called the Heart of Chronos.
Instead of dying
Adrian goes back twenty years into the past.
This was before the Tower even appeared.
This time he does not want to be a hero.
He wants to become the guy that every climber fears.
He will take all the relics for himself.
He will stop heroes from becoming strong.
He will control kingdoms. Conquer the Tower by himself.
He does not care if people call him a monster.
Chapter 1
Adrian Chapman slammed a dying man against a wet wall in a narrow London alley. The rain was coming down hard mixing with the blood on the ground. Adrians body felt weak not like the person he used to be in the Black Tower.. His mind was still sharp from all the bad things he had been through. Marcus Hale, the man he was holding was not a person now but one day he would be a leader in the Golden Vanguard and try to hurt Adrian. Not this time, though.
"You were supposed to be my friend " Adrian said, his voice. Steady. He held Marcuss throat tight. "I know what you will do in the future."
Marcus was. His eyes were wide with fear. "I do not know you! Let me go!"
Adrian used a power he had taken from a bad artifact. Black smoke went around his arm and into Marcuss chest.
Sin Authority. Devour activated.
Adrian felt a rush of power. He saw memories of people betraying him and got some skills. His rank went up.
Rank increased: F to E. Mana capacity +15%. Shadow manipulation unlocked at level.
Marcuss body. Then he went still. Adrian let him go and wiped his hands on his coat. He did not feel bad. Being kind had hurt him before. This time he would get stronger by getting rid of people who were weak. The Black Tower would appear in three days. He wanted to be the strongest when it did.
As he turned to leave he heard footsteps behind him. Adrian spun around ready to fight. A tall strong young man stood at the alley entrance wet from the rain. It was Tobias Ohon, a person who would be very good at fighting in the Tower. In the past Tobias had been a fighter but he had also failed to help people. Now he looked at the body.
"You killed him without feeling anything " Tobias said, his voice firm. "I can smell the power on you. That was not a fight."
Adrian looked at Tobias quickly. Tobias was a person who believed in justice and was very strong. He could be an ally if Adrian could teach him. "The man was going to be a problem. The Tower is. People like him will hold us back. I got rid of a weakness."
Tobias took a step forward his fists clenched. "There are still laws. You cannot decide who lives or dies."
"The laws will not matter when the Tower comes " Adrian said. "I have seen it. I know what we need to do to survive. Join me. Stay out of my way. We could use your skills as brothers in this fight."
Tobias hesitated. He wanted to do what was right. He also saw how strong Adrian was. "Brothers? After what I saw? Prove you are not a killer."
A siren was heard in the distance as the rain kept falling. Adrian nodded. "I will prove it with my actions. The Tower will be here soon.. Watch. Learn about the power system that will change everything."
They left the alley together starting a partnership that was necessary for survival. Tobias followed Adrian watching his power. Adrian explained how the rankings worked.
"Everyone starts at the bottom. We get stronger by killing monsters or taking their power. My special ability lets me take skills and power. It is the key to getting stronger."
Tobias. Asked questions about how the power worked. "My instincts make me stronger after I kill. Like a predator getting better."
"That is good " Adrian said. "We will get stronger together. We cannot be weak."
They went to a hidden warehouse where Adrian had stored supplies. Adrian showed Tobias how to fight with his power. Each hit made Adrian a little stronger. Tobias joined in. Got stronger too.
At the end of the training they got a message.
Temporary party formed. Shared experience gain increased by 10%.
Tobias wiped the sweat from his face. "You fight like someone who has been through a lot. I will watch you brother. If you lead us right I will stand with you against the Tower."
Adrian nodded, respecting Tobias. Their partnership felt strong, like metal between warriors. They parted ways as the night fell, with Tobias promising to meet at the Tower entrance.
Later Adrian looked at his status.
Name: Adrian Chapman
Rank: E
Class: Shadow Initiate (evolving toward Abyss Tyrant)
Skills: Sin Authority. Devour (Basic) Minor Shadow Manipulation
Stats: Strength 28 Agility 35 Mana 42
Deep down Adrian knew there would be surprises. The Tower chose its challenges carefully. He would become the person it needed.
Adrian moved through Londons streets the day the Ring of Minor Eclipse in his possession. The artifact made his shadow skills better.
Skill upgrade: Minor Shadow Manipulation to Intermediate. Mana efficiency +25%. Rank progress: E to high E.
He tested it by hiding in shadows to sneak security at an old research facility. Inside he found Thomas Riddler, a genius scholar working on relics.
"You understand how cursed things work " Adrian said. "Join us. We will get stronger with forbidden power."
Thomass eyes lit up with excitement. "Your Devour ability could help my experiments. Let us be partners in this."
They formed an alliance quickly. Tobias arrived soon tracking Adrians power. "Brother there is activity in the city. People with powers are gathering."
Together they cleared a nest of monsters that had come through early cracks in the dimensions. Adrian took the power of five monsters getting stronger and more resistant to curses. Tobiass senses got sharper letting him predict the monsters movements.
Tobias Rank: F, to E. Shared party bonus applied.

The Cursed Alpha King’s Wolfless Bride
Let Them Kneel
Cast out by her pack. Forgotten by the Lycans.
She lived among humans—quiet, invisible, tucked away in a town no one looked at twice.
But when her first heat comes without warning, everything changes.
Her body ignites. Her instincts scream. And something primal stirs beneath her skin—
summoning a big, bad Alpha who knows exactly how to quench her fire.
When he claims her, it’s ecstasy and ruin.
For the first time, she believes she’s been accepted.
Seen.
Chosen.
Until he leaves her the next morning—
like a secret never to be spoken.
But Kaelani is not what they thought.
Not wolfless. Not weak.
There is something ancient inside her. Something powerful. And it’s waking.
And when it does—
they’ll all remember the girl they tried to erase.
Especially him.
She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.
Because secrets never stay buried.
And neither do dreams.
How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.
My Psycho Husband, Pregnant with the Mad Tycoon’s Heir
That was the deal I made with the tyrant named Damon Lexton.
I was his medicine. His prisoner. He did not love me—only the rare blood in my veins that kept him alive. When I died in the fire, he did not mourn his wife. He mourned the loss of his cure.
Five years later, I returned from the dead with a new face and a heart of stone, ready to watch him suffer.
Then my five-year-old son walked into his office.
“Hey, Old Man. Are you the one who made my mom cry?”
Damon stared at the child—the son he once called a bastard. For the first time, the tyrant fell to his knees.
He cornered me against the wall, his eyes burning with madness and obsession.
“You can run, Anna. But you and our son belong to me. I used to need your blood to live. Now I need your heartbeat to breathe.”
BROKEN TRUST
Neither of them knew she was carrying his child.
Emily’s affair didn’t just end her marriage—it erased the life she thought was guaranteed. Ryan left without looking back, carrying his anger like armor and leaving Emily alone with regret she would never outrun. Three years later, fate drags them back into each other’s world, along with a little girl who has Ryan’s eyes and a truth that shatters everything he thought he knew.
Old wounds reopen, grief masquerades as rage, and love refuses to stay buried. As parenthood binds them together and the past demands accountability, Emily and Ryan must face the question neither of them is ready to answer: is broken trust the end of their story… or the beginning of a love forged through loss, forgiveness, and brutal honesty?
Cursed Beauty and her Three Alpha Mates
Cast out by her pack for being wolfless and plagued by uncontrollable heat, Maya has spent her life surviving humiliation in silence.
Fate drags her into the path of Kael Draven, the ruthless Lycan King who claims her… only to reject her.
But Kael is not the only Alpha bound to her.
Finn, her childhood best friend and the rising Alpha, loves her with a devotion so fierce, he spends four years locked away in the most ruthless dungeon only to keep her safe.
Xander, a rogue wolf who can make even Alphas bow to his will, has waited centuries for her to be reborn, and he has no intention of losing her again.
Three Alphas.
Three claims.
One cursed destiny.
They called her wolfless. They thought she was weak. But she is done hiding, and this time, she's rewriting the rules.
The Last Sempyr: Alpha's Fated Mate
“Watch me,” I snap.
His icy gaze flicks to my lips.
I know I’m trapped.
I’m a stray fighting to keep orphans alive—until I’m caught and chained to the North’s most feared Alpha.
Xuaru Ruel is war-forged, ice-cold, bound to a king who owns him.
He was born to kill my kind. Instead, he keeps me close.
Calls it discipline. Lies.
The fated mate bond ignited, and his wolf won’t let me go.
He fights the pull, yet always comes back.
If he learns my secret…
He’ll choose: hand me to his king…
Or burn the world to claim me as his.
