Chapter 1
Aurora's POV
"Wake up, sweetie," I heard a feminine voice say. I opened my eyes and saw the friendly woman sitting next to me saying softly with a smile on her face. I looked around and saw everyone exiting the plane.
"Thank you," I said as I stretched my arms and yawned. Then, finally, I stood up and walked out of the plane.
I walked over to the baggage carousel to get my luggage.
"Hey, sis," I heard my brother say from behind me.
"John," I squealed and hugged him tightly, and he hugged me back.
"I am so happy you are here a little bit," He said.
"So am I," I replied.
John took my luggage, and we walked to his car. I hadn't seen him since our mother's funeral six weeks ago. She was killed in a car accident while coming home from work. My name is Aurora Grey, and I am seventeen years old. After my brother convinced me I should move in with him, I finally caved. I was becoming lonely without my mom and decided it would be a good idea to move in with him.
"I need to tell you something about where we are going to stay," John said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"There are a lot of other people who stay there. It is a big house called the Blue Moon house, and there is plenty of room. You will stay on my floor with me, which has three bedrooms. The floor is like an apartment," John said.
"That's fine," I replied.
"I will take you to get enrolled in school tomorrow. Do you want to start your senior year tomorrow or wait until the next day? It is past midnight, and I'm sure you will be tired starting tomorrow," John said.
"I will start tomorrow that way; I don't miss out on anything important," I said.
"Still a nerd," He said.
"I am not a nerd," I replied, punching him playfully in the arm.
John began driving through the woods, and I was surprised he could see where he was going because of how dark it was. Then, about thirty minutes later, we ended up in something like a village. There were houses and stores. I would never have thought there would be any of that in the woods.
"Welcome home," John said and parked by a huge house.
I was shocked at how big it was. There had to be at least five floors. I got out of the car and looked around. I could see muscular men standing outside the house like they were security guards or something.
"Let's go inside," John said, and we walked inside the house.
John took me to some elevators and pressed the fourth floor. The elevator opened, and there was a door with a lock right outside of it. John took out a key and unlocked the door. It was lovely inside, with a living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and three bedrooms.
John took me to my room with a bed, tv, dresser, bathroom, and walk-in closet. I decided to shower, changed into my night clothes, and went to sleep, hoping that tomorrow would be a good day.
My alarm went off at 6:30 AM, and I was so tired. "Maybe I should stay home from school today," I thought to myself as I walked to the bathroom.
I decided to shower even though I had taken one last night before sleeping. I brushed my teeth and hair and got dressed. Once I was out of the bathroom, I heard a knock at the bedroom door.
"You ready, Aurora?" John asked.
"Yeah," I said and opened the door. I picked up my bag and walked into the kitchen.
"I need to go shopping for food," I said as I looked in the refrigerator and saw there was hardly any food inside.
"I normally eat in the main kitchen with everyone else," John said.
"I guess, but we still need food in here," I said.
"We can go to the store when you get out of school. You also need to meet the owners of the house when you get home," John said.
"Okay," I said.
We both ate cereal and then headed to his car to get the school. Couples were walking around outside, starting their day. Some of them greeted John and looked at me, most likely wondering who I was.
John went to the school with me called Blue Moon High School. It seemed like a weird name for a high school. It was also the name of the house we were staying in. Once John got me enrolled, he left, and I waited for my schedule.
"Here you go, dear. If you need anything, please let me know. Welcome to Blue Moon High School," the lady at the front desk said as she handed me my schedule.
"Thank you," I said and left to find my first class.
I was late due to having to get enrolled. I needed to go to the restroom, so I began looking for the bathroom. I found it and went inside.
"Oh yes, Alpha, right there," I heard a female moan as I walked inside the female restroom.
"You like that Bitch," I heard a male voice say.
"Yes," the girl moaned.
I looked up and froze when I saw a guy and a girl fucking. The female was holding onto the sink as the guy repeatedly thrust in and out of her. An average person would have left the restroom, but I was frozen where I stood. I began to feel a pain in my chest from watching the man fuck that girl. I felt like he shouldn't be touching her and began to feel hate for the woman.
A gasp came out of my mouth, causing the guy to turn and look at me.
"Alpha, please don't stop," the girl said, but he continued to look at me with a look of surprise. He instantly pulled out of the girl with his gaze still on me. I couldn't take my eyes off him. His eyes were blue and looked like they were changing to black the longer he looked at me. I began to feel dizzy, thinking about what I had just witnessed, Still feeling the pain in my chest.
"Mate," I heard the man say before darkness consumed me.
