Chapter 1
Fated To Be His Mate
Standing at the roadside with a heavy heart, tears well up in my eyes. I try flagging down a cab but none of them stop to take me. My legs wobble on the floor and my body quivers weakly as I feel my eyes heavy, but I try to keep them open. There's no way I am going to sleep on the road, right? Well, I had just received the beating of my life as usual and right now, I have to go to work if I don't want to be sacked, which means death for me. Wondering who beat me? Well, it's my father.
After standing at the roadside for what seem like forever, I finally board a cab, and soon we are on the way to the bar where I work as a waitress. Well, I'm on the afternoon shift today and will be coming back home quite late in the night later.
Resting my head on the window and looking out of it, tears well up in my eyes as the thought of my messed-up life come hitting at me. Unlike every other person out there living happily with their family, I am a curse to mine.
Let me introduce myself briefly, my name is Cassie Robert, twenty-two years old cursed and the only child of Mr. Robert. Wondering why I said that I am cursed? Well, as bad as it is, my dad hates me so much because he believes that I am cursed. Do you want to hear my life story? Well, I will just be brief about it. I grew up with my dad who abuses me and make sure that he makes my life a living hell for me. He treated me like a piece of trash and guess what his reason is? He said that I made him lose the most important person in his life, my mother.
According to him, my mom had died barely after she gave birth to me. After the death of my mom, he raised me until I was eight years old before he started giving me the hell of my life. He blamed me for being the reason why mom died, is it my fault? At times I wonder why he had to suffer so much to raise me, only to maltreat me. If he wanted me dead, he could've done that long ago, right? I wonder why he didn't kill me when I was just born. I grew up without the love of family, I was raised a loner. He prohibited me from having friends, and the times I had tried making friends, it didn't end well for me, so I had to give up trying.
With each day that passed, I always prayed that he change one day and learn to accept me, but it seems that it would be the dream that'll never come true for me, as he only grows worsen by the day. When I clocked eighteen, the responsibility of the family shifted to me, and that was how I started working as a waitress. He would come home drunk every night and make sure that he beats me and threatens to kill me. As bad as it is, I don't get to decide on my life, because he has the right to my life and will tell me whatever he wants me to do.
The incident of this morning flashes through my mind, and a pool of fresh tears rolls down my cheeks. Well, I collected my salary yesterday, but he took everything from me and when I tried begging him for some money this morning, he beat me up and left bruises on my body, but thankfully they are in the place that can be covered with clothes. This is what happens every time. I do the work and he spends the money. That's how bad it is.
"We're here, ma'am," The cabby's voice pulls me back to reality and I quickly wipe off my tears. I pay him and hop out of the car before hurrying to the bar, which is just opposite the roadside.
Stepping into the bar, I resume work immediately. The bar is filled with people as usual and the place is kind of noisy. Well, I couldn't expect less.
"Hi, Cassie," Emily, my colleague smiles at me as she walks over to where I am sitting behind the counter. Emily is the only friend I have, at least not a close one. I dare not have a close friend. I don't know why my dad forbids me from having friends, maybe he is scared that I might talk about how he treats me or something. I don't just know.
"Hi," I smile back at her. This is one thing about me, no matter how sad or pained I am, I always try to put on a smile and act like everything is OK.
"I don't need to ask what's wrong with you, knowing you won't tell me. You're always looking dull anyway. Just please be fine and if you need anyone to talk to, I would be here to listen to you," She says to me and I nod my head with a smile on my face. I want to talk about the pain I'm going through, I want to talk about it, maybe I'll be a little relieved if I talk about it, but it seems that I have to suffer this alone, telling anyone about it is the last thing I won't want to think of.
"Thank you. I'm fine," I assure her and she shrugs.
The rest of the day is hell. Attending to customers and making sure that everything is in order. After what seems like forever, we finally close for the day and everyone leaves for their various houses. I feel sad, going home. The only good time I have is when I leave the house, going back is always like I'm going to hell.
Walking down the deserted road absentmindedly, I smile softly at the gentle breeze that blows on my face soothingly. I should get all the happiness I can here before going home to meet my doom.
After walking for what seemed like forever, I stop abruptly upon hearing a weird sound. Paying rapt attention to whatever the sound is and where it is coming from, I realize that they are grunts and they aren't far from me. Fear grips me as it dawns on me that I am the only one walking down the thick, dark, and deserted road.
Gulping down the lump in my throat, I hasten my steps but stop abruptly and freeze on the spot as the most horrific sight ever, welcomes me.Standing just a few paces away from me, is a horrible creature I have never seen all my life. I don't know what it is, but from what I have read about in books and what I've watched in movies, I can boldly say that this is supposed to be a wolf. It has black shiny furs, long golden tail, sharp claws, and as it finally turn to face me, its pair of yellow eyes pierce at me as it long fangs that is stained with blood, glare hard at me like it's going to devour me anytime soon.
I try to take a step back, but my legs seems rooted to the spot that I can't even make a move, my heart freezes in my chest. My body trembles fearfully, beads of sweat forms on my forehead as I watch it slowly reshapes until a man is standing in front of me. The wolf just turned into a handsome man. Wait! is this my imagination, or this is reality?
I have always thought that this creatures doesn't exist, I thought they only existed in books and movie series, but I think I have been the one living in illusion. They truly exists, and one is standing in front of me. Just what the heck is happening?
My legs finally agree to move, and I take a few steps back. I try to scream my lungs out, but again, my voice failed me. Is this how I'm going to lose my life to this creature? Is this how I'm going to die after living all my life in pain? As much as I want to think that is not fair, I also think that I have no right to judge what is fair from what is not.
My legs finally lost the strength to carry me when he starts taking steps toward me, and that is when I fall on the floor, as I await my doom that is standing in front of me, waiting to embrace me...

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

Invisible To Her Bully
Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
Accidentally Crossing the Tycoon
Four years ago, the Bailey family faced a devastating financial crisis.
Just when bankruptcy seemed inevitable, a mysterious benefactor emerged, offering salvation with one condition: a contract marriage.
Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
