His Human Hybrid

It was a bright sunny morning. I woke up to the smell of breakfast. Getting fresh I went to the kitchen where my mom was serving our plates with scrambled eggs and freshly baked bread. I went to the table and took my place.

"Good morning mom and dad."

"Good morning Aria."

"Breakfast smells amazing today."

"Thank you, dear, my mom told me smiling."

Mom sat down and we had our breakfast joyously. After doing so I helped her with cleaning dishes and we left our house in unison to go to the farm.

Our farm was an hour's walk away from home. My parents being farmers cultivated seasonal crops on our farm. We always work hard and look after the crops.

Feeding the cattle and taking care of them was my duty. While I helped them with the cultivation too. After finishing my daily chores at the farm, I would usually go back home to cook lunch for us and bring it to the farm when done. As a family, we always had our meals together. When done with all the stuff at the farm, we went back to the house together.

Mom and Dad both cooked dinner together. So, I would wait for them till they were done. My life was really good and my parents loved and appreciated me from time to time. l was glad that they were my parents.

I loved midnight it was my favorite time. As all the people in our territory were deep asleep, I went to the border of our side to train with my best friend Blair. Blair was a werewolf and her grandmother is friends with my parents. I met her when I was two since then we have been inseparable.

Granny Blair's grandma is also a royal maid at the werewolf castle. She started to train us to fight since we were ten years old. Blair is a maid at the castle too. Her family serves the royalty of this kingdom for a long time. Granny taught us to fight. People of the kingdom were facing many difficulties due to the disappearance of the ruling king and queen 17 years ago.

The kingdom has never been the same from that time. Previous Kings brother "King Arthur" was ruling from then. He broke many half-blood families making them live in different territories. There were three different territories in our kingdom. The first one was 'Royals' where only royal werewolves were allowed to live. The second territory consisted of normal werewolves. The last was the human territory. The children born from humans together with werewolves or vampires were taken away from their parents when they would turn 10 and put in the dungeon. Vampires were sent back to their kingdom.

These things were unacceptable but, the people had to listen to their ruler. Soon he restricted any contact with the "Vampire Kingdom". Once friendly kingdoms grew apart due to King's selfish interests. All the borders of the kingdom were sealed and guarded constantly to avoid trespassing. But, no one understood why the border around the human territory was unguarded. Some people concluded that it was due to the valley present between the kingdoms. The valley was deep and no one dared to go to the "Vampire Kingdom" from that side as it was too risky.

All the people believed that the King and Queen were still alive and would come back for their betterment. No one acknowledged that they were dead.

As the border was silent all the time granny decided that, it would be our training ground. There was an old house with cracked walls nearby. It was also abandoned, we hid the weapons for practice and other materials in the place as it won't be suspicious.

I sneaked out of the house to the training ground and found Blair waiting for me. We both were dressed in a tracksuit.

"Hey Blair, How was your day?"

"Sorry for being late."

"It's fine."

"My day was good. What about yours?"

"Mine was fine as well, I told her."

"Can we begin with our bow and arrow from today?"

"Yeah, she said walking to the house to get the weapons."

We took bows and arrows from our weaponry and set the target boards before beginning. We tried to make the most of our time and concentrated on the task at hand. It was fun, I managed to shoot a few arrows at the center. When we thought it was enough for today we were on our way home. Blair and I parted ways when we reached my home. I got in through my bedroom window closing it silently behind me.

I took a quick shower as I was covered with sweat and got in my nightgown before lying down on the bed and falling asleep instantly.
