My Best Friend is My Alpha's Mistress
Hannah Air · Completed · 10.5k Words
Introduction
The two people I trusted most betrayed me at the same time.
Because of her, I lost my child.
And now she's pregnant with my husband's child.
What's even more ridiculous is that my husband actually asked me to take care of her because she's pregnant.
When I was at my breaking point, my husband's Beta came into my life and encouraged me to seek revenge.
I will make them watch as I destroy everything they have.
Chapter 1
“Lena,” Ethan’s voice came from behind, cold as ice, carrying no warmth at all.
I stood by the kitchen door, my hands instinctively clenched into fists. “You don’t eat seafood,” I answered him almost automatically.
“Chloe likes it,” Ethan’s voice remained emotionless. He didn’t even look at me, his eyes still focused on the documents on the table. “Hurry up and take it to her.”
I took a deep breath, fighting to keep my rage in check. “You and Chloe must be really happy, huh?” My voice trembled slightly, but I couldn’t stop myself from asking.
Ethan finally lifted his head, a flicker of impatience in his eyes. “Lena, stop being so annoying. She’s pregnant. I need her to rest. It’s your responsibility to take care of her.” He paused, his tone colder than before. “Now, go.”
I didn’t respond, just silently grabbed the bag of seafood and turned to leave. Every step felt like sinking deeper into a quagmire.
When I arrived at Chloe’s apartment, a swirl of emotions twisted within me.
She stood by the door, greeting me with a sweet smile, one that felt like a dagger to my heart. “Lena, finally here,” she said softly. “You’re such a good wife, still willing to do this for me.”
Suppressing my anger, I forced a smile. “It’s nothing, Chloe. I know you like seafood, and Ethan insisted.”
Chloe didn’t seem to care about my coldness.
She stepped forward, taking the seafood from my hands with an innocent expression on her face. “Ethan really spoils you. I envy you,” she said, her tone sweet, but her eyes glinted with something far colder.
I clenched my fists, my insides churning. “What do you mean?”
She laughed softly. “I mean, you’re lucky to have a husband like Ethan. Without you, he might not have turned out this well.” Her eyes briefly flashed with malice. “But, you won’t be his wife much longer, Lena. Do you agree?”
I froze, a heavy wave of realization crashing over me. Chloe was no longer the girl I had once trusted. She had become an enemy in my life.
“What do you mean?” I gritted out.
Chloe smiled again. “I’m just reminding you that Ethan isn’t yours anymore. He’s completely mine now, Lena. You might want to think about whether you want to stay as his pet, or if you want to start over.”
I couldn’t contain my fury anymore. “How can you do this? Ethan wouldn’t...”
I stopped. The words I had just spoken confirmed everything. Ethan had already chosen Chloe, and I was the fool still clinging to lies.
“Stop wasting time, Lena,” Chloe chuckled. “You’re just an Omega. You’ll never understand our Alpha world.” Her tone grew more cruel. “Ethan’s heart isn’t with you anymore. He’s just keeping up appearances for his family and status.”
At that moment, I understood.
All the past, all the illusions of happiness, had been nothing but lies I had willingly endured.
The drive back was a blur.
The anger inside me burned, growing larger, hotter with each passing moment. It consumed me, leaving me nothing but a hollow shell of the woman I had once been. Ethan. Chloe. They used me, manipulated me like an object.
As I drove, I barely noticed when I veered into oncoming traffic.
The sound of a crash shattered everything, and then there was only blackness.
I woke to excruciating pain.
The sterile white ceiling of a hospital room greeted me, and the buzzing of the air conditioning was maddening.
I tried to move, but my body felt weak. Then, a stranger’s face appeared before me.
“You’re awake, Lena,” the doctor said, his voice tinged with uncertainty. “The crash was severe. We managed to get you here in time, but...” His voice dropped. “You lost the baby, and you may never be able to have children again.”
My mind went blank. My heart felt as if it was being crushed under a heavy weight. “No... that’s not possible...” I whispered in disbelief.
“I’m sorry, Lena,” the doctor said gently. “This is the reality you’ll need to accept.”
Everything in my life seemed to collapse in an instant.
When I returned home, I found Ethan and Chloe sitting in the living room as if nothing had changed.
I stood there, suddenly realizing that I no longer had any right to stay in this house.
“Lena,” Ethan spoke in a neutral tone. “You should accept Chloe now. She’s carrying my child, and we’ll be starting a family together.” He looked at me, no guilt in his eyes. “We’ll arrange everything for the baby, give him a complete family.”
My heart shattered. “What are you doing? You’ve already betrayed me, Ethan.”
Ethan lowered his gaze. “I haven’t betrayed you, Lena. This is for the future of the family.”
I realized then that I never mattered to him. In this world of Alphas, I had never been treated as an equal. I was just a tool in their power struggle, a pawn to be discarded.
The phone rang. It was Chloe. “Lena,” she said, her voice sweet but with an edge of mockery. “You’re not going to keep fighting, are you? I know how you feel, but you should understand, Ethan isn’t yours anymore. He will never be yours again.”
I hung up, feeling as though my heart had turned to ice. The pain surged again, and I knew I could never go back to who I was.
But I wasn’t ready to give up. I walked to the study, gathered the papers, and started looking for the truth.
I would no longer be the woman who was controlled.
I had lost everything, but I could still take back what was mine.

Then the truth came out.

To protect the family reputation and prove their devotion to their bloodline, the Laurent patriarch transferred 35% of his personal shares into Camille’s name overnight, instantly making her one of the wealthiest heiresses in the country.

Letters to a Dark Prince
Thrown into Isteros Academy—a world of old money, blood money, and cruel social games—she's an outsider by birth and an afterthought by design. Her sister Solyn is the school's untouchable queen and Mara is her favorite target.
Everyone expects Atreus to treat his fiancée’s scholarship sister like everyone else does—as if she doesn’t matter.
Instead, his dorm room sits directly across from hers, close enough that she can see his light go out at night. Some nights, he climbs the old maintenance trellis just to check on her. He teaches her chess. He shows up exactly when something's gone wrong—and never once asks to be thanked for it.
"Don't fall in love with one piece," he warns her, over a board neither of them treats like a game anymore. "It punishes the person who only sees half of it."
Mara doesn't understand why the boy who's supposed to make her life harder keeps quietly making it easier—not until she realizes the anonymous stranger she's been writing to every week already has a name.
His.
He doesn't know he's writing to her, either.
By the time they find out, it's too late to stop what's already happening. Far too dangerous for anyone to find out.
In an empty studio, in the middle of a rainstorm, she asks him: 'Am I the kind of girl who kisses a boy engaged to my sister?'
He doesn't answer.
So she asks: 'What are we?’
He told her not to fall in love with one piece.
She fell anyway.
And he was never far behind.
GO ON YOUR KNEES, ALPHA.
He was wrong.
Six years ago, Pete Leadsilver had everything an Alpha could want. Power, a respected pack and a future already written for him.
Then he met me.
What began as a game became a mistake I would spend years trying to survive. When I told him I was carrying his child, Pete chose not to believe me. He rejected me, humiliated me, and allowed the people around him to make sure I understood that there was no place for me in his world.
So I disappeared.
I took the secret of my pregnancy with me and built a life far away from the Alpha who had broken me.
Six years later, Pete finds me again. Only this time, he isn't the man with all the power. His pack is dying, his people are running out of time, and I may be the only person capable of saving them.
But I'm no longer the woman Pete remembers. And beside me is a little boy who carries far too much of Pete's face to be a coincidence.
Our reunion should have been about a cure, but instead, it becomes the beginning of a war neither of us saw coming.
Because Pete's greatest danger isn't outside his pack.
It's inside his own family.
Old resentment turns into manipulation. Loyalty becomes betrayal. And the people Pete trusts begin hiding secrets that threaten to destroy everything he's built.
Then someone comes for the people I love.
Suddenly, this is no longer about whether Pete can earn my forgiveness.
It's about whether he can keep me alive.
Whether he can protect the son he never knew existed.
Whether he can uncover the truth before the people closest to him destroy everything he has finally learned to value.
Along the way, we'll lose people we thought would always stand beside us, I'll be forced to confront wounds I've spent six years trying to bury, and the family we're slowly building will be tested in ways neither of us could have imagined.
Because sometimes love isn't the hardest thing to find. Sometimes it's the hardest thing to survive.
Pete once believed power meant never needing anyone and I once believed surviving him meant leaving him behind.
We were both wrong.
Because some bonds refuse to die, some betrayals cut deeper than rejection and some people don't come back into your life to give you a second chance.
They come back to show you exactly what you almost lost.
Pete Leadsilver lost me once.
This time, he'll have to fight to keep the family he never knew he needed.
