Sacrificing My Fated Mate
Nisha T. · Ongoing · 42.3k Words
Introduction
"Thank you. Is it time?" I don't miss the sudden dullness in his eyes, the slight slump of his shoulders. He seems disappointed, but that can't be.
He nods and holds his arm out for me. I take it and allow him to lead me out. The closer we get to the ceremony, the more my nerves start to affect me. I'm nervous as shit, and if it weren't for the hold my father has on me, I think I'd become a puddle of human goo.
We stop in front of double doors, and I can barely breathe. Just beyond those doors is the carpeted aisle that will lead me to my future. It will lead me to a man I've never met and a future that's uncertain. I don't know if I'm ready for the unknown, but I can't turn back now. I have to do this for the health of my mother. I take a deep breath as the doors open, and I'm staring at a sea of people. I swear I don't know anyone here. I let the breath out, and the scent of freshly cut grass hits me out of nowhere. Holy shit, I think my mate's in there.
I'm his best man, not that it means much. Nathaniel stands next to me, facing the double doors. "I'm sorry for earlier. You're right, as always." I shake my head and place a hand on his shoulder.
"It's nothing. We are in a difficult situation, but we have to make the best of it." He nods. "So have you met her?" Nathaniel shakes his head.
-I'm anxious.-
-I am, too, Bruno. We just need to get through this ceremony.- Bruno shakes his head and retreats to the back of my mind. Nathaniel sighs and stands up straight.
"Let's do this." I nod, and we wait for the ceremony to take off.
It doesn't take long for the music to pick up in volume. The double door opens, and my breath leaves my body. Bruno is wreaking havoc in my mind, and it's getting hard for me to stay on my feet. I'd lost hope for this day, and I never thought it would happen like this. -MATE!

Chapter 1
~Sophia~
I watch people move around with a sense of peace. I always love watching humans go about their days. I try to imagine what their lives are like and what their biggest worries might be. Clearly, I'm not human. I've… we've been living among them for a while now, but we have no illusions about who we are.
My mom, Laura and I are werewolves from the Riverfall Pack. Mom didn't want to deal with pack life again, so we settled in this human town. I haven't been back since we left. I'm not even sure if I'd be welcomed back after everything.
Flashback
"OK, Jessica! I'll see you later." I watch her body get smaller before turning and entering my home. The moment I stepped through the door, I could feel the tension. I turn to the left and notice suitcases, one of which was mine.
I take a few steps forward and am looking for someone to explain. Usually, the place is busy with Omegas everywhere doing their daily duties. Right now, there's no one bringing a chill to the room. "Mom? Dad?" There's no response, and I don't know why. It feels like something's wrong, but I don't know what.
I continue through the house, looking for anyone to explain. I move upstairs, taking my time on each step. I reach the top floor and can immediately hear two voices. I close my eyes and concentrate. I know those voices. I open my eyes and run down the hall. Dad has a home office, and that's where the voices are coming from.
I reach the door and don't hesitate to push it open. I wish I had taken a minute before entering the room. It's the one thing my father always told me to do, yet I didn't listen today. "When will she be gone, baby?" That voice, it isn't my mom's voice.
"Soon, my love. As soon as Soph gets home, they will go. We've already ended the marriage and rejected each other. I'm all yours." I step back in shock, right into a table. The vase sitting on the table is knocked to the ground. The crash brings eyes on me, causing even more anxiety to roll off me.
This can't be real; it has to be a joke. Who is this woman? Where is my mom? "Soph?"
"Sophia, love?" I look between my father and mom, who's now standing in the doorway. Her eyes are red, and her face is puffy. I know she's been crying, though she tries to hide it. My father reaches for me, and I take a step forward. I stop short as soon as I see the woman in his arms sneer at me. I turn and run to my mother, allowing her to wrap her arms around me. "You couldn't wait until we left, Richard?"
"Watch how you speak to my mate. You have your child, so leave." Father pulls her in closer, shushing her and rubbing her back.
"It's okay, Soph. Go with your mother and I will see you soon." He directs his gaze to my mom. "If you two need anything, let me know. I… I did-"
"Save it, Richard! I don't want anything from you, ever. Let's go, Sophia, love." Mom turns us around, and we walk out of the door.
End of Flashback
I haven't set foot in that home or on those lands since. Dad has visited me here and there but never visits with Mom. She refuses to even speak his name. When watching the humans, I often wonder if they've been through the same things. I wonder if they've ever been crushed like I have.
A knock on the door breaks me out of my thoughts. A man in a suit walks into the room. "Ms.Sophia?" I nod, wondering what this is about. "Can I have a moment of your time?" I nod and stand to my feet. I walk toward him after placing a kiss on Mom's forehead.
We walk outside of the room, and I watch him close the door behind him. "I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but your mother is going to be released." I suck in a breath, trying to ignore the pain in my chest.
"But, you can't do that. My mom is sick and she needs the treatment. I… I know that I need to pay, but there has to be something that can be done." He sighs and shakes his head.
"We already gave you a grace period, yet you still haven't paid. There is no more time. In two day, we will be releasing you mom without treatment." He places a hand on my shoulder. "I'm really sorry." I watch him walk away with my heart in my throat. What am I going to do?
The treatment for my mom is a long process, and it's expensive. I've been trying to work to get the money, but I haven't even made a dent. I thought I had time; we thought we had time. Her illness took a turn for the worse, which is how she ended up in the hospital. Now that she's here, her treatment is imperative.
I begin to pace the hallway back and forth, trying to come up with a solution. There has to be a way to keep her in the hospital and pay for her treatment. I don't have enough money, but there has to be a way to get what I need.
As I continue to pace, the air gets thick around me. I'm having trouble taking a deep breath, and it feels like the walls are closing in around me. I'm trying not to panic, but this is a life and death situation. There's nowhere else for this treatment. I checked.
I look up and find myself in the lobby. I don't even remember coming out this way. I slump into a seat and lean forward with my head in my hands. This is too much, too much to deal with alone. I sit up and lean back in my seat, looking at the blue tiles on the ceiling.
Suddenly, an idea came to me: a way to get what I need for Mom. I pull out my phone and scroll through my contacts. The name is highlighted on my screen, and my finger hovers over it. I close my eyes and hit the button, slowly putting the phone to my ear. "Hello, Soph?"
"Hey, Dad. Can we talk?"

“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

As a ballet dancer, My life looks perfect—scholarship, starring role, sweet boyfriend Tyler. Until Tyler shows his true colors and his older brother, Asher, comes home.
Asher is a Navy veteran with battle scars and zero patience. He calls me "princess" like it's an insult. I can't stand him.
When My ankle injury forces her to recover at the family lake house, I‘m stuck with both brothers. What starts as mutual hatred slowly turns into something forbidden.
I'm falling for my boyfriend's brother.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
Invisible To Her Bully
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate
My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and two figures burst in.
"Get off her!" a deafening roar echoed.
I didn't expect the twin brothers who'd bullied me at school to come charging in like gods to save me.
After my grandmother passed, I had to move in with my mom and stepdad, who treated me like a servant. I prayed every day for my 18th birthday to come, so l could leave and escape this broken home.
However, on my first day at my new school, l encountered the legendary twins everyone feared.
To make matters worse, the Moon Goddess revealed they were both my mates!
After helping me out with my stepdad, my twin mate cornered me, played with my hair, and whispered possessively, "You belong to us, our little mate..."
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
