PROLOGUE
Elijah was scrubbing his hands stained red, his face seething with anger. When he got this furious, it was better to leave him alone till the bitterness subsided, but this time, I wasn't going to let it slide.
"Are you okay?" I ask, leaning against the doorframe.
"Get out of here, Alicia," he growls, looking at me through the mirror.
"Well... you're using the bathroom and I need to use it."
"There are 5 more bathrooms in the damn club, Alicia. Don't screw up my damn night even more," he snaps angrily. But I didn't budge, and that pissed him off. "Just leave!"
I didn't move an inch even though I was dying of fear. Elijah's got a strong character that makes him one determined individual. I don't know what he did to get his forearms covered in red liquid.
"Did the other guy end up worse?" I joke.
Elijah turns off the sink faucet, grabs a paper towel, and starts drying his hands. Then he turns around to face me with his characteristic cold, emotionless eyes.
"Wanna know what happened to the other guy?" He steps closer to me, our breaths colliding.
His scent of mint and wood fills my nostrils, completely intoxicating me.
"Yes," I manage to whisper.
"I killed him, 'cause he saw you, he felt lust for you, I saw him adjust his cock when you smiled at him, and that drove me fucking crazy Alicia."
That confession leaves me speechless, my body trembling. Elijah looked like a raging bull when someone pokes at his flank, which really made me reconsider his request.
Elijah leans in a bit closer, our lips almost touching.
"Accept my proposition, Alicia," he murmurs. "You'll be my queen, the queen of all this and much more."
I analyze every part of his face, and there's a trace of blood on his cheek. I lift my hand and wipe it off his cheek. Elijah closes his eyes at my touch.
"It's the first time I'm begging someone, Alicia. You drive me damn crazy, and you managed to get into my system in such a short time that I haven't been able to get you out. And if you refuse, I'll kidnap you and lock you away so no one else can see you. I'll be the only one who can admire your beauty."
By this point, my lips are slightly parted, yearning to taste his once and for all.
"Be the mother of my child, Alicia," he continues. "I promise to take care of you, handle everything. Let me be the man you need in your life, I..."
I interrupt him by pressing my lips to his. We both release a deep sigh, because after all, it's what we both wanted for quite some time now. His hands fly to my waist, pulling me closer to his body so I can feel every inch of him in all his glory.
We gradually pull apart, our foreheads touching.
"Is that a yes?"
I'm not sure if I'll regret this decision, but I can't resist him.
