Her words hurt. Each aimed for my heart, and they cut deep. But I don't show it. Instead, I smile at the desperation that flashes in her eyes. "And you, my dear mate, dare to speak of my emotions, claiming they don't exist, while you lack the most important thing needed to survive. As it turns out, common sense is not as common as it seems. Prepare yourself for interrogation, it will happen soon, and I can assure you that no part of it will be pretty." I've given her a warning. Whatever she does or says is now her business. I wasn't supposed to be here; even my Beta advised me to stay away from my mate, for she is our enemy. But I broke my word and came to see her.
